  1. And eres me thinking that 'Ashton Gate' was a football ground !
  2. Cubs doing well considering the circumstances, only 4 behind 26-22
  3. Tom Spencer out with suspected broken arm after heat 3 crash. Lions down to 5 riders!
  4. Travelling up for this one on the Jolly Boys Outing Looking forward to visiting the new track after many visits to Derwent Park. I'm a neutral, being a Pirate, for this meeting but travelling with 2 Lions so there will be plenty of banter shared between us. Could go either way so I'm excited with the prospect of seeing some great racing no matter who wins. Keep turning left
  5. Well one team turned up but for the life of me I can't think which one?!
  6. Just arrived in Poole from Plymouth, GWR train seats are not recommended if ur looking for comfort...........it's like yer pants avin a slab of concrete in em! Think me back has got a blue groove down it!
  7. 54-36 a solid Pirates Victory Howarth not up to much & Gladiators tail too weak away from home. My predictor has just come back from the tuner so shud now be dialled in......maybe?!
  8. Time flies by when ur the driver of a train, steaming in to WINborne Road with a cargo of champagne!
  9. Not long got back to me b&b in Plymouth, well done to the Gladiators for their fighting spirit........ special mention for Ben Trigger for winning heat 4. The Boyzzzzz The Boyzzzzz C'MON THE PIRATES! We did it, yes get in there! Backs against the wall and yet we still win, just wot champions are made of. Bring on WINborne Road tomorrow
  10. I used to eat Campbell's meatballs There's a moral to this story but for the life of me I can't think what it is?!
  11. Pirates to complete the league double according to my predictor Mind you it has been a bit wonky of recent times and I've had to go to the docs with a touch of squeaky bum! Only thing that is certain is that me knobbly knees will be on display in the luvvly sunny weather
  12. Going to be a close and exciting meeting for everyone to enjoy. Poole should just about edge this one 48-42 C'mon Ben and Zach, both in excellent form and lead the way in inspiring the rest of the team to greatness.
  13. Cheating and blinking dangerous for himself & those he raced against as I'm sure there would be an far higher chance of causing a crash when yer brain is wobbly!
  14. People around me were saying that possibly a chain had snapped? Dunno, not heard or read anything definite.
  15. Lawson is the new Bomber in terms of guest appearances
  16. Correct Lisa, we Pirates have finished in 3rd place, no one can catch us. And no one will catch us in the play offs either!
  17. Hopefully next week we will see sum fixtures appearing for the play offs & Jubilee Final. Although there seems to be sum in fighting around the dates for the Jubilee. Mr Dickson isn't happy re: Speedway Star. Makes you wonder if they av considered how they will decide any overall aggregate level score. I av visions of this not being thought of & a massive delay while arguing the pros & cons of every scenario. Think I would go with who scored the most away points at each of the level club's tracks. If that's level then the most away points scored at both away tracks. If that's level then Golden Heats? Dunno, I think I need a coffee & rest after sending me noddle all kerfuffled!
  18. I don't know who you heard the information from but outside of that my thought is that Leicester won't choose us Pirates.
  19. Track reserve trying to figure out the set up for Poole.......
  20. Man under discussion Tom Brennan pictured last night. Sum nasty looking marks on his arms alone from injuries (ciclred in red). These lads must carry many disfiguring marks on their bodies from burns, skin grafts & operations etc. Total respect
  21. I went to Wimbledon in '84 for the event, Dave Perks (Long Eaton club legend) won his 2 rides before the rain scuppered his hopes. Then in the restaged event at Peterborough Mr Barney took advantage of Perks' snapped chain on the last bend last lap. Still painful to this day.
