Stuntdouble replied to StevePark's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Thought Simon Lambert did very well tonight. He did Plymouth proud. Also got to mention Jacob hook who was tremendous . That’s the season over but already looking forward to 2024 . -
Steve boxall also in . See what the weekend brings. Decent work by the promotion IMO

Berwick v Redcar 29/07/23 @7-00pm

The one thing you can say about the young lad is that he’s gives it his all. From a supporters point of view that’s all you can ask for as long as he stays on the bike. He’s certainly entertaining. A meeting like last week with a bandits narrow victory would do me -
Never a charge for parking at Shielfield. The football club had Jimmy on the front of the entrance and he would get every driver to buy a 50/50 ticket. You felt obliged to buy one. Every car one ticket and a lot less people to catch when entering the stadium. Great opportunity to make some decent prize money and funds for the club.

BERWICK v GLASGOW (BSN) April 15th - 7pm
Stuntdouble replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Last year Harris and Greg in the bullits meetings laid rest to the myth you canny pass . You’ve just got to want to pass . The speed will put people off but not others. Track rather slick last night. To stop Harris doing his wall of death passing possibly. Glasgow we’re just too good last night end of. -
Redcar v Berwick KO Cup 31/3/23

Enjoyed the day down at Redcar. Edwards rode very well . Score was about what a lot of Berwick fans thought. Positives in TJ and Rory looking decent, Jye getting a full meeting in and Cole’s a bit unlucky with mechanicals. Jonas looked decent too. Overall a decent day and must say thanks to all at Redcar as it seems a very well run unit. Ps the food was cracking . -
Here’s hoping it’s not another r/r season .
-
Nobody said they did. They have simply informed the fans and speedway fraternity of their team.
-
Right here we go. Team sorted. Promotion done what a lot of clubs haven’t or cannot. Team picked to ride next year. Season tickets on sale before Xmas and merchandise being sorted well in advance of the season starting. But of course the moaners are straight out. I for one am happy . Well done the promotion. Love being the underdog. Berwick always have been but would you want it any other way. Instead of bumping the guns get of yer jinka on a Saturday night and cheer on the boys. Rant over . Peace and love
-
Gotta be happy we have speedway . Hope there are sizes for the larger fraternity among us this year . Proactive promotion as usual
-
On the form this season I would think every Berwick fan and their dog would want him to stay next year. Although results have not gone their way some of the racing at Berwick has been sublime . I think the gate and go myth has been well and truly put to bed

BERWICK v POOLE July 9th 7.30pm
Stuntdouble replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
He had a lot of talent and on his day can set the track alight but is in a massive slump. -
If in the championship you’ve gotta think cook and Bickley would be in the home team .
-
Not in Scotland .
-
It will be a usual sized crowd then. Missed a massive trick here. And people wonder why speedway is in decline. Not many supporters going to travel with work the next day and kids who are the next generation of income for teams still at school. This main men want to wake up and smell the coffee. Clueless

BERWICK v MILDENHALL (NDL) Saturday, June 18th (7pm)
Stuntdouble replied to crescent girl's topic in National League Speedway
Like I’ve said before some of his times last night would win heats in the main body. Strange one like -
Geography not yer strong point . From Glasgow or Edinburgh to Poole check out what is slap bang in the middle. Main motorway travel and decent rail links. You need to get out more
-
You’ve got a national speedway stadium which is slap bang in the middle of the country. Bosh!!!!!!!!! Job done , all supporters don’t have as far to travel and invest the gate monies or profits back into British speedway. not rocket science is it
-
Very good point by the way. Decent signing for Oxford if he hits the ground running
-
Got to say and I may be biased but the promotion have a well oiled machine working at home meetings. More bums on seats and some cracking entertainment. Getting youngsters on the road to senior level has seen some great NDL meetings also. Long may it continue and I think without injuries this year we would possibly not lost a home meeting.
