  1. interesting fixture this. it will be nice to see tony atkin in particular have a good blast around loomer road. also several other riders have a chance to show their pace to other promoters. good luck to all sides for a safe trouble free meeting.
  2. no problem mate. just hope you are not right. at least we got a point last night but I do think they need to address the reserve problem though it looks like young joe alcock was firing a lot better. hope we all have a good season.
  3. ouch// bit harsh mate. it,s early days yet and I expect the potters to finish around mid table or higher but time will tell.
  4. THIS SHOULD BE A CLOSE MATCH WITH TWO EVENLY MATCHED TEAMS SO LETS HOPE FOR SOME GOOD WEATHER AND GOOD RACING. HOPEFULLY WE CAN START GETTING SOME POINTS ON THE BOARD. UP THE POTTERS.
  5. well done. brings back memories of a Saturday night at brandon. happy days.
  6. hi apologies if you already have the answer but I think it was march of the gladiators but may be wrong.
  7. it certainly could. they could win a match for starters. but anyway it is nice to hear good things about the club for a change. onwards and upwards.
  8. glad you enjoyed the day. to be fair stoke also had a bit of misfortune also. ie Lawlor ef first time out, the reserves completely mucking up heat 2. 2 falls for Rutherford while in point scoring positions. but fair play kent took a well deserved win in the end. don't think we will win many until we get the reserves scoring a few more points.
  9. got to agree with that teaboy. glad you enjoyed the experience. lets hope we can get a few more back on raceday and maybe even win a match or two. up the potters.
  10. I am approx. 2 miles from the track. we had a light shower a couple of hours ago and now it is blue sky with a nice breeze and feels warm. forecast is good for tomorrow so cant see any problems. should be a good match and look forward to seeing joe Lawlor in action again. he reminds me of danny ayres with his no nonsense style. come on the potters do us proud.
  11. a real shame for luke. I just think the Glasgow move was a bit more than he could cope with after a long injury lay off. hope he gets his mojo back and tries again. good luck to joe. lets hope we get a match on this weekend.
  12. it has been raining on and off all day and still looks like there is more to come.
  13. well done Bruno. come and give it a try. I like yourself have found things less than perfect in the past but things are much improved this season with a good race track, a decent team and a good new manager. we may even have some good close matches with you heathens now that we have trained up young cleggy for you (joke) and if we can get luke chessell firing on all cylinders we should have some good scraps. up the potters.
  14. after several seasons of failure it is hard not to get a little giddy with expectation so I am all for blowing the trumpet and banging the drum to support the potters. interesting to read the Mildenhall result and see that our ex manager is coming in for a little flack. onwards and upwards for us we hope. good luck to all the lads.
  15. how refreshing to hear some good reviews for the potters for a change. I have been going to stoke for several years now and while I would admit things have not always been great in the past this year I think there is a good vibe about the place. the track is riding very well and the team look a lot more competitive so I say a big well done to dave and his team. up the potters.
  16. was not at the meeting so can only go on what I have read. thought the potters would make more of a match of it than this. tom would surely have hit double figures but for an exclusion and ef and yes I also think young joe alcock can be a bit special. early days yet so not ringing the alarm bells so onwards and upwards for the potters. well done the colts.
  17. should be a fairly even match at the top end but think the colts are a good bit stronger at reserve so should have a bit of an advantage. weather looks good so hope for a good match. up the potters.
  18. well after all the gripes to be fair this was a good meeting. track was excellent, started bang on time, racing was excellent with barker having to fight off several challenges. all the potters riders looked up to speed and even the lights stayed on so its a big well done to dave and his team and lets hope they keep up the good work through the season. also mr wallinger would have finished higher but for a silly exclusion for wearing the wrong helmet cover.
  19. well I for one am looking forward to this one. it looks like ben barker should take it but one slip up or non finish will let in around half a dozen lads to nick it. think dave and the gang have put together a good field and a nice to see that he is giving some lads without a team place as yet a chance to catch the eye. weather looks favourable so all systems go for a good night. come on the potter boys.
  20. Hi Griffo. Is it correct that the speedway are also charging for car parking this season. To be fair it is a small price to pay for trackside parking up the back straight particularly.
  21. Too right mate. Have not been up loomer road over the winter but any parking restriction should not bother the speedway fans but could be a problem for the stox fans as I am told they get bumper crowds for these events. Cant wait for the season to kick in now and see this new team in action. Up the potters.
  22. Have to agree there mate. No doubt things have been wrong in the past but the main thing is they are working hard to get things right and must surely be applauded for that. Things are coming right now with the stadium and if the team get fired up and dish out some spankings then the crowds should start to increase and generate some much needed income for the promotion. Up the potters.
  23. excellent news that stoke have been handed the national league best pairs event this year. things are on the way up at stoke this year with a great team and a good track to race on. a big well done to dave tattum and the team and good luck for the new season.
  24. Hi Yes I was there that night and it was a nasty one. Real shame for Paul as he is a good team man. All the best to Shelby on what is a lot better track thanks to Dave and the team. After assembling a really good team lets hope the track and lights can give them a good season and let them do what they do best without having to worry about other things. Up the mighty potters for 2019.
  25. What a great idea. I would be more than happy to donate £100 to get the hitmen back on track. What better way to spend a sunny sunday afternoon in the Derbyshire hills than watching the mighty potters giving those pesky hitmen a good spanking. anyone else up for it.
