  1. I wonder if Smektala will change his mind now about leaving Leszno.
  2. I'm Polish, but the Polish domination of the sport doesn't really seem healthy. Unfortunately, there are a lot of selfish "patriots" amongst those managing Polish speedway on organisational level that some ideas promoting foreign riders can't really pass with them steering it. They didn't let Latvians into Extraleague. They won't agree for one U21 rider to be a foreigner. Polish clubs like Sparta Wroclaw act really selfish marrying Chugunow to a Polish wife so he can get nationalized. That rid Russians of probable medal at U21 World Championship yesterday. This year is kinda weird, because Poland was actually one of the few stable European countries during post-lockdown phase of the pandemic, where you could host events comfortably on the regular with crowd attending (with some minor exceptions). But I'm really afraid that it's a step towards shrinking of the sport. Not sure what the future brings. Something really needs to be done before speedway becomes a travelling circus like F1. Also, I saw Speedway in Britain doesn't really attract younger crowds, why is that?
  3. KeirStarmerFan and Steve Shovlar in shambles. Two weeks ago they kept claiming that Zmarzlik is crying and looking for excuses. Now all the Anlas riders are riding way, way worse. Sad! Anlas tyres - 60 shores Mitas tyres - 70 shores Cheaters struggle without illegal tyres.
  4. maybe if GPs were earlier he'd be at the top, he struggled vs. Lublin not that long ago
  5. allegedly they signed 2-year sponsor deals with their tyre provider and they can't use others
  6. it is homologated, but our experts claim that they change the composition of the tyre AFTER getting the homologation
  7. big drama in Polish speedway media about Turkish tyres, have you guys heard something too in Britain?
  8. Przedpelski? are you serious? have you seen his performance in Czestochowa this season? so GP winners in each club: Torun - NKI, Doyle, Chris Holder, Rune Holta FZG - Pedersen, Dudek, Vaculik, MJJ Leszno - Kolodziej, Sayfutdinov, Hampel, Piotr Pawlicki Wroclaw - Janowski, Woffinden Grudziadz - Lindbaeck, Bjerre Gorzow - Zmarzlik, Kasprzak, Kildemand Czestochowa - Lindgren, Madsen, Zagar, Miedzinski Lublin - Andreas Jonsson
  9. You're right about the track, but past attempts to do something to surprise the away teams failed miserably. We even changed a bit of track geometry in 2017 and it didn't do nothing. If we changed the track drastically it'd take some time to adjust for our riders and we didn't have that comfort since we were struggling with staying in the league. Anyway, we'll raise Nice League standards with our stadium!
  10. I'm from Torun and it's really sad news. We've never been relegated since we joined Extraleague in 1976. We 100% deserve it, it already would have happened back in 2017 if not for Grigorij Laguta's suspension after using doping. Hopefully something will change now, with management and youth training. It'll be sad to part with Jason Doyle, who has phenomenal season this year. Anyway, hopefully we'll be back in a couple of years since finances are really stable!
  11. terrible crash in heat 1. Sergiej Logachev taken to hospital. TV reporters said that they don't have any good news, first reports are talking about spinal injury. He wasn't moving his legs. Send your best wishes and prayers and let's hope everything will work out
  12. so today in british time: 13:30 Gdansk vs. Rybnik, tv: Polsat Sport Extra 15:30 Gorzow vs. Torun, tv: nsport 18:30 Czestochowa vs. Zielona Gora, tv: nsport
  13. r&r is correct again - there's no bonus point if the opponent rider isn't finishing behind you I think the only team that could POSSIBLY stop Leszno is Sparta Wroclaw - they have young, ambitious team, and the oldest team member is Woffinden (28 years old) there's a lot of potential in Wroclaw, and with Drabik as U21 rider riding up to 5 times in a single match they can hold off against Leszno unfortunately it seems that Woffinden has some health issues this season, because I don't think it's the engines, he was really fast early this season
  14. this is correct - 8 heats are enough for regular match, 12 heats required for play-offs, semis and finals

  16. well I guess they can guarantee him some rides when they sign someone weak for 1-5 spot, Lambert could replace such rider from the start of the match, same as Wroclaw did last year it's been said that Lublin left Nice League at the best moment (since there are so many strong teams there now which plan to advance to higher division) and joined Ekstraliga at the worst (since transfer market was really scarce and riders mostly stayed where they are) there have been talks about introducing CMA limits per team

  18. I translated this one for you lads: https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/784208/brytyjski-zuzel-chce-dogonic-pge-ekstralige-potrzebujemy-profesjonalnego-produkt British Premiership ended with a win of Poole Pirates. Now, promotors in the UK have time to analyze mistakes they made this year and find some conclusions. It's because there's an upcoming traditional meeting of BSPA activists, during which there'll be talks about regulations and statute for the 2019. Alun Rossiter already was in talks with BSPA bosses. Manager of the British national team and Swindon Robins asks the activists for big changes in the league, which would allow speedway in the UK to challenge Polish PGE Ekstraliga. One of Rossiter's ideas is creating a professional, 10-member league. "We need at least 10 teams on the highest level in the Premiership. We need a professional product, which will be much better than the current one. Riders like Chris Holder or Jason Doyle want to race in our league, but the clubs can't find a place for them. Thanks to racing in the UK many riders stay up to their level, jsut look at Niels Kristian Iversen. He returned to our league and already guaranteed himself a palce in the Grand Prix" states Rossiter. Rossiter is consious of the fact that the speedway in the UK offers much lower pay than the polish league, but has other outlets. "In our country we have these really techincal objects, which help riders in increasing their skills" he added. But in fact, despite all these efforts, more and more objects are being closed. You won't find teams like Cradley Heath, Weymouth, Bradford, Exeter, Hackney or Oxford anymore. Also, clubs in Coventry and Essex have some issues too. The prestige of the league has lowered. Enough to say that only two regular Speedway Grand Prix riders also had regular starts in Premiership. "We can offer the riders something, what others lack. The continuity of starts. We won't pay the same money as the Polish. For example - we have many riders who ceased to race in the UK and now they have trouble in Grand Prix. It clearly shows that maybe we ain't the biggest fish on the market, but it's us who helps the riders stay in top form/shape/condition. That's my opinion" summed up the manager of UK national team.
