You must be as old as me!!! Don't forget the man in the picture (left).

I have always been interested in the form which teams take. Is it better to have two or three 9-10 pointers with lesser mortals in the lower order, or a more balanced structure? Views please?

However much the powers that be insist on calling it a develpment league, it serves little purpose if all the new riders do is race against each other. They need a yardstick against which to measure their talent. Seniors provide this as long as teams are not loaded with them.

Leaves the door open for quality - Jordan Good luck and hope you have an injury free season.

In days long gone by: Team rider - Bill Kitchen Entertainer - George Newton (pictured) Best overall - Jack Young

With Danny on the track and, hopefully, Robert Henry in the pits that is a good team to look after the youngsters. Don't see the point of Wallinger. From what little I know of him, his attitude may have a negative effect, Hope Malcolm can supervise him.

Development potential? mmmmm

Thank you

The indecision will probably mean they end up with riders not required by or not eligible to join other teams.

Hunters?

There is no connection in my mind, but I see your point. No offence intended.

Oops - see what you mean now. Have to be so careful these days. I can remember when gay meant being cheerful.

I should like to see thirteen heats again with a second half for youngsters with no lower age limit. 125 and 250 cc races?

Good luck to Lions if they are set on grooming youngsters.

If the leagues are reduced to Premiership and National, how would the riders who rely on doubling up manage. True the racing would be more competitive for us punters (as GP riders, for example, would not be winning by half a lap in a lower division) but all the same they would need to find some way of replacing their reduced earnings. This assumes, of course, that the National League remains as a development facility.

While I am baffled how riders of the status of James are riding in the National League, it was a pleasure to see him ride recently. Very stylish and very quick and very effective. An example for others to follow. I realise his diminutive stature is an advantage but even so a good example to aspire to.
