  1. think he was assessed 5 before the season but can't drop lower than a 4, so if he finishes on a 4 average this season or below 4, he starts next season on a 4.00
  2. with the Play-Offs gone they need to start thinking about getting Emil and Jason to get their averages down for next season Jason currently on 9.44 so surely that could get down to around 8.5 if he has a few shockers, Emil is currently on 9.80 so if he has a few gremlins too the club should be looknig to get that down to a sub 9 average surely, let the other rides do their own thing If the 2024 regs are the same 39 point limit with an R/S then you could build 1, Sayfutdinov 9.00 2, Z. Cook 4.84 3, Woffinden 7.03 4, B. Cook 5.17 5, Doyle 8.50 6, Rew 4.00 7, Thompson R/S Could possibly switch Woffinden for Holder
  3. They only get 3 rides at the moment as always get taken out of a ride these would be 3 programmed rides they cant be taken out of
  4. I mentioned this on another thread but got shot down, all issues with Speedway can't be fixed during one winter.... I've suggested one league or a north/south split but you run two teams within one Top 4 are your main body riders with no.1 & no. 4 being the only heat leaders in the side No.5 is a senior reserve rider, with no.6 and 7 being reserves 2 x reserve races featuring 6 & 7, they get a ride each with the no.5 so only 3 programmed rides The senior reserve at no.5 rides with 2 & 3 in a heat so get 4 programmed rides The top 4 all race against each other and with two nominated heats you get 14 overall heats of racing, the top 4 will likely get 5 rides each teams build sides mainly for who can race on their best race night as whats important is to get fans to attend the home meetings you may need guests away if you have a rider in Poland and its a weekend track
  5. I'm really into Dana Whites Slap fighting series, could resolve disagreements at the next BSPL get together or at least hope some sense can be slapped into them
  6. I dont think Dan is the overall issue, maybe when Kemp & Rowe were available fans could argue there were possibly better out there I think the issue is one or two riders within the main body, Danyon is doing well at 6, he's hardly ever going to score 10+ consistantly from reserve maybe now and again, only really Sheffield and Belle Vue that has that power at reserve Rew is very inconsistent on thursday didn't have a good first ride but as the meeting went on was competitve just need to get him going from the start, im sure he will do well Riss is a worry just based on his illness and not sure if he's 100% fit should/would/could have scored more on thursday if he hadn't crashed out etc. I think the only change anyone could see would be Batch for Riss, riding at 3 or 4 with King at home and maybe at 2 away from home would make ipswich stronger
  7. Some things are worth the money and you'll likely overpay, just look at people buying football clubs or players, Arsenal signing Rice for £100m if it doesn't work out someone would pay £60m still so he holds some form of value if he is exceptional then in 4 or 5 years time maybe someone will bid £200m as at some point tranfers fees will go even more crazy With speedway nobody will over pay for a club because there is no real way of generating income to excessive levels, limited tv money and no prize money, the value is minimal, only worth handing cash over if they get track equipment included On a different note spoke to a customer on the phone yesterday from Leicester, mentioned I'm going up there for the speedway at the end of the month His reply was speedway, not sure where that is but we have plenty of racing up here such as Donington Park lol
  8. I think MT will come in at the end of the season with the announcement of a stay of execution for an additional 12 months at the showground with a view of a new stadium in 2025 Chris Holder still has his race suit, and MT will add Woffy to the side and build from that For now its just hope that will get fans to the end of the season, but it will be worth it in the long term
  9. The press release is aimed at promoting fear among speedway fans and Lynn fans stating money problems i.e. over budget so i.e. we need all fans to attend to see us through the season And but we will want to come to the tapes in 2024 i.e. give us your money and we'll give you hope Buster is seeking special dispensation to allow for doubling IN not down or up but doubling IN the same division and nights either of his sides is not racing, he wants to be able to select a septet of the two The reality tho is he needs to bin Laguta due to Artems polish club not allowing him to race in the UK, and just use Iversen as a permanent guest for the remainder of the season Try and offload the club to someone who may keep lynn in a top flight championship or buster get someone in to help have a go at championship level
  10. How about someone goes around the crowd with a cattle prod and shock some life back into the spectators, if done around heats 9-10 it should see them through to the end of the meeting
  11. This might be an idea which is a bit left field but with about 12 clubs left combining the prem and championship might be the best idea either as one league or a 6 team north division and a 6 team south Anyway thinking outside of the box why don't they look at having 7 rider teams but sort of two teams in one, a main team and a development team, those who can afford the top riders can use them For example Ipswich Witches 1. Doyle 2. Hume 3. King 4. Rew are the main body riders 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 1 & 3, 2 & 4, 1 & 4, 2 & 3 They all race with each other across 6 heats of the program No.5 Jordan Jenkins is classed as a senior reserve rider, he can only ride with the two non heat leaders So 5 & 2, 5 & 4 race together so thats an additional 2 heats taking the programme to 8 heats No.6 (Joe Thompson) and No.7 (Max Perry) are the reserves They get two reserve heats and one ride each with the senior reserve So 6 & 7, 6 & 7, 5 & 6, 5 & 7 so thats 4 races making 12 heats all 4 main riders and the senior reserve get 4 rides, the reserves 3 rides Heats 13 & 14 are nominated Its one less heat however some form of junior racing or 2nd halves could be introduced
  12. Someone on facebook said that's what Emil said, maybe riders only get a small fixed payment for the competiton... hopefully its not true
  13. Its on facebook that appartantly doyle has a rearranged polish meeting and emil cant afford to be at the pairs
  14. Nothing from with King, people expect each rider to win all races, he's dipping between achieving his average or slightly being above so is effectively doing his job. He isn't getting any younger so you could expect him to maybe decline eventually, not everyone is like Hancock etc. Not many disagreed with the side at the start of the season Think with Riss back it will change the fortunes
  15. Barker is a 28 day injury replacement So just filling the void until Riss is back Witches aren't redeclaring as Riss isn't a new signing They can replace the RS without redeclaring, but any other changes to the 1-6 will mean they'd have to
  16. don't forget an Ipswich rider guests for Peterborough while Ipswich are riding WITHOUT his replacement due to injury so Witches are operating R/R for their riders 28 day replacement while their rider rides elsewhere hahahaha The jokers never officially left Speedway
  17. and with Riss back I think Witches will be fine longer term, as long as Riss is fully recovered
  18. Im sure its been said before Top league especially but for overall presentation taking everything into consideration This year is already more of a complete farce than last year right?
  19. That is so ****** stupid its beyond all belief, just hope Riss gets through that meeting ok
  20. He didn't score well at Leicester last season with Plymouth so probably a track he's not keen on
  21. Maybe Brady might have been better off trying to negotiate with KK again instead of dropping him, if it was say a £3k guarantee per meeting for arguments sake, say I am happy to pay £3k a meeting for home matches based on your form, but due to your away scores instead of dropping you we will pay you £200 a point, KK would then have to make the decision, bet if that was on the table and he took it, those away scores would soon improve
