2024 team building averages
Falcon1983 replied to Cast1rn's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I dont think much will change next season as the promoters are unable to think creatively Prem will be 6 teams with either Oxford or Birmingham moving up. Championship will be Berwick, Edinburgh, Poole, Glasgow, Redcar, Scunthorpe, Plymouth, and can see Workington moving up so 9 sides What happens to the NDL and Mildenhall/Kent remains to be seen... Dont see the points limits changing either but some odd tweaks to some odd rules that will be picked apart during that season -
If they do the double could see all 7 back with D Thompson as rising star and Hume at 6, think right now with the british reductions it may creep just under 39?

Ipswich v Sheffield play off final 1st leg
Falcon1983 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
6 side prem next season so 7 riders will already be on the sidelines next year, and its not the sidelines its a squad place! So could ride some weeks others not A fair few riders available for the 2nd rising star spot Might entice some other riders back for a squad place Tungate, Bjerre, Thorsell, Michelsen, Thomsen etc Might attract some younger european riders to take a squad place Might even attract riders like Vaculik, Lambert, Lindgren to share a no.1 berth Plus there are a few riders already in the championship who would like a squad place Thomsen, Etheridge, Batchelor, Knudsen etc. If you rode speedway and had a championship ride and no top flight ride, would you settle for a squad place in the top flight, absolutely you would -
Ipswich v Sheffield play off final 1st leg

10 man squads for next season An extra rising star, then a choice between sharing the no.1 spot, or an additional heat leader avg below their stated no.1 and an additional 2nd string Guests and RR at an absolute must if you have 4 riders injured in your 10 rider squad For example, Ipswich 1. Sayfutdinov 2. Riss 3. Douglas 4. B. Cook 5. Doyle 6. Rew 7. D Thompson HL Res 8. King - covers any missing heat leader who has a higher average SS Res 9. Hume - covers any 2nd string or Reserve who has a higher average RS Res 10. J. Thompson - covers for any missing reserve or rising star Worst case scenario if Doyle and Emil were missing together King comes in for Emil, 4th highest avg becomes 3rd heat leader and Hume comes in as a 2nd string or no.6 -
All this interaction with Lagutas biggest fan is only maininting his hard on

That final nail is taking a while to be hammered into that coffin, was put in around 2016 wasn't it

I'll say I'm sure a rider can only represent one club in the play offs as a guest And I'll also add I'm sure British speedway will find a way to shoot itself in the foot by going against the above

Its a case of seeing how Jason does on Sunday he can ride in it and still pull out on Monday I'd personally if allowed use Harris and give Jason more time to recover as i think the Witches should reach what they need to progress Emil should get 11, Harris 7, King/Riss/Rew should get 18 between them smith and Hume should chip in 3 or 4 points all worst case scenario stuff

Would witches fans bemoan a broken lock of the track gate or a broken bunting cord ahead of thursday? -
Ultimately though its not the club who decides, its the rider

When was the last time Holder rode at Foxhall? -
It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Rew ends up on his 4.00 average but riding at Belle Vue next season linking up with Lemon. Rew has shown in some scores in Poland and in SGP2 loves a big track so Rew replacing say Wright if that keeps them under the 39? Limit next season is feasible in my book

i don't know anything just plotting how some teams COULD line up and to compare possible team strengths Only put Musielak at Glasgow based on Glasgow moving up, having money, and I do recall Musielak stating after a GP challenge once how much he loved the track, then take into consideration they have Tarasenko his mate and have had Nowak there this season too, 2+2 = 4,321 ha I think Sheffield if Woffy wants to race in the UK full-time could opt for Tai over Tobi because they might feel they will get more through the gate for Tai but who knows too early to serious start breaking things down I personally feel if its 6 teams in the prem, they need to either do 45 points and make the RS for championship only perhaps making the 6 & 7 in the championship RS only, or if they keep the RS in the prem a 42 point limit for 6 riders then the RS

that would certainly work if the early comp is 1 home vs 1 away set up with a play off system but not sure how many of those riders have not done the UK for a full season before anyway, so sure most listed would be allowed to compete a full season in the UK as normal if they wanted to, I guess that does not mean that during the season they might want to move the goalposts
