If you read the statement by Louis he said they were "talking to lots of european based riders then when Bomber became available they snapped him up" how stupid does this club think their fans are? No european rider wanted it, lets not dress this up to anything more than what it is, I would like Louis to name these European riders and then the fans can decided if he's taken Bomber over Pedersen, Kildemand, etc.

British Speedway will never see that kind of level again.... not for another 10 years or so at the very least... Doubling up will take 10 years to sort out, the Championship/National league need to be joined but then split into a North/South division, Amateur speedway or at least low points money, needs to attract young british riders of the future.... then the Premiership if there is a top league to go with it needs to be a 12 team semi pro level... tracking to run on any day they wish, ideally Thursday-Sunday speedway, £8-£10 speedway

Nicholls & Procter fits... As Does Tungate & Good Riss.... As does Kildemand & Wornya

What I don;t understand that is if the Witches can't attract a big hitting number one then surely they have had a look at the budget and put aside a fixed amount for a number one, if they do not have a number one coming to the tapes yet other riders are currently sat on the fence because they have not been offered a great deal then surely the budget is there to snap up these riders even if it means paying more. Tell me if I am wrong but if the budget is there but not going to be used for its purpose then surely Scott Nicholls can be offered an improved deal, at least that signing will be for an Ipswich lad and would put more bums on seats wanting to see Scott ride Foxhall in his twilight years, I am sure Tungate won;t be offered anything to start the season in the UK unless it is Ipswich, so you then have a number one potentially on 3rd heat leader/2nd string money... because simply he has to take what is offered or not earn a wage in the UK... so the witches are in a strong position to negotiate not being able to have a number one. Pretty sure that Guy will want the best for the club and if it means Tungate at this present time due to lack of options then he will be the bigger man and back the decision, then that leaves one rider to fill and perhaps Ty Proctor will be surplus to requirements at Lynn? Still not the best team but should win 80% of the meetings at Foxhall, I hope that we see new blood buy into the club eventually and take it on

based on what has been confirmed, what I know is about to happen and what is rumour.... 1. Kings Lynn 2. Wolves 3. Poole 4. Peterborough 5. Swindon 6. Belle Vue 7. Ipswich
-
How about they go with... Tungate, Nicholls & Michelsen? Michelsen rode well against top riders in the EURO so could perhaps become a no.1 as the season progresses, what average would he be?
-
Not attending at all is a bit harsh, the Witches have 6 solid riders, just need the correct final rider to finish the team off and it only has to finish mid-table to get into the Play Offs
-
I believe it is a reflection on the quality of the top level in the UK, should have set the team building limit to 40 It is very much clear that this was a last minute decision and that Louis was all set for the Championship, if he can bring on the likes of Allen & Hartle with Kemp in for 2020 then even if finishing near the bottom, it could be worth it in the long term, Heeps 2 season ago was potentially getting to a stage where he could have been challenging Rory/King for no.1 but last season he didn't progress. Witches could have lined up in the Championship with this team however, sorry for doing this 1. Danny King 2. Connor Mountain 3. Ty Proctor 4. Mason Campton 5. Scott Nicholls 6. Drew Kemp 7. Jordan Jenkins

Witches are struggling as I am told there are at least 4-5 riders that have been named on here numerous times have turned down the Witches and that they are the most likely ones as well.... Tungate as I have said previously is nailed on, yes there is history, not sure Tungate has visited Foxhall since the track alterations but on the right machinery he could have a good season next year, definitely a massive season for Rohan, not a no.1 for me however would have to have an exceptional season. So far we are pretty much assured of the following 1. Rider Replacement (see what the January sales bring) 2. Cameron Heeps (all signed awaiting announcement) 3. Richard Lawson (all signed awaiting announcement) 4. Danny King (signed) 5. Rohan Tungate (closing in on agreement) 6. Michael Hartel (all signed awaiting announcement) 7. Jake Allen (signed) None of the GP riders apart from Doyle and possibly NKI want to commit to the UK, looking at the rest of the field Hampel, Pedersen, Holder, Kildemand, Milik, Lebedevs, Pawlicki have all ruled themselves out of the running. What possibilities are left? Andreas Jonsson? Martin Smolinski? Mikkel Michelsen wants to ride in the UK but his average is not for no.1 Scott has said now he expects to start without a club unless of course someone comes in with a good offer before hand, even with Scott Ipswich would be well below the team limit. Very difficult position to be in having 6 riders who are all decent at Foxhall but not being able to find a no.1, other riders I had heard was strongly linked with and were spoken to was Josh Bates & Ty Procter but both will not be signed.
-
I believe that Smolinski & Hartel have signed, no heeps according to someone who works in the pits. Lawson is nailed on, that leaves 2 to go....
-
ok Lets say its King, Lawson, Nicholls, Allen & Heeps... as a nailed on 5 What other two riders are available who rode the UK last year that can complete the team and get anywhere near 42.5 Tungate being at 5, so who else is out there with a big enough average to complete the side? I really do believe that the no.1 will be a rider who did not do the UK last year, and potentially the no.5 tho that would be pushing the budget depending on who the no.1 is
-
Not sure where you are going with this, so the team is pretty much settled.... So Lets see.... Allen at 6? King at 4? So who else is nailed on? Lawson at 2? one from Nicholls or Proctor at 3? Jensen, Heeps or Hartel at 7? So now we get down to the one or two riders part.... which will literally make or break this team I believe at no 5 we are going to see the return of Rohan Tungate but lets see what combo's could happen just out of curiostity Jonsson / Nilsson? Smolinski / Jepsen Jensen? Hampel . Przedpelski? Milik / Michelsen? Zagar? Vaculik? People are writing off the Witches, some riders have said no to the UK but that is at the time, perhaps an offer was not there or they got a poorer deal elsewhere so need to look at the UK? Things change so those riders writing off the UK may well be having a rethink.... can't see why Jonsson, Nilsson, Smolinski, Jepsen Jensen, Przedpelski, Hampel, Milik, Michelsen, Milik, Zagar would 100% turn down the UK Only one I can understand would be Holder due to Visa issues or any rider that has qualified for the Speedway Grand Prix such as Vaculik. The Witches last season were getting crowds that some Premiership clubs would love to see on a regular basis, financially it has a great sponsor and other associate sponsors, nobody knows if the sponsorship revenues have increased in order to go out and grab a fantastic 1 & 5 that other clubs either can't afford or other clubs thought they would not ride in the UK? As I said I think Tungate will be at 5 and Smolinski will be at 1 but who knows its definately not enough information to write the witches off as wooden spoonists right here right now
-
ok I think based on what I am hearing personally the team is going to look very close to this. 1. Smolinski 2. Lawson 3. Nicholls 4. King 5. Tungate 6 Haertel 7 Allen Seems Ipswich will opt for the cheaper option of Tungate who will be based in the UK and cheaper cost and easier logistic side of bringing two German riders over together as opposed to opting for riders from different countries. However depending upon who you actually talk to and what other say the team could look like this 1. Hampel 2. Lawson 3. Nicholls 4. King 5. Przedpelski 6. Allen 7. Heeps People saying Hampel does not want the UK at his age or would be too expensive, Hampel now would be less expensive than he was a few seasons ago, looking at the other no.1's it could be seen as easier for him and thus easier money and would bring Pawel with him to develope him, I believe they do share a sponsor or two who would like to see this partnership develope, it would certainly be exciting even if for one season. Przedpelski is keen to continue in the UK after a short stint at Leicester and only Wolves is a small track in this league so it would definately suit him and bring him on. Heeps is the enigma, but I can see Louis and Hawkins giving him the first few meetings to see what Heeps comes to the party, if he does well then great if not will be replaced by Kemp once he has achieved his average.
-
What else is left?
-
Chris Louis Plan F 1. Przedpelski 2. King 3. Kasperzak 4. Lawson 5. Nicholls 6. Haertel 7. Heeps Chris Louis Plan G 1. Hampel 2. King 3. Kasperzak 4. Haertel 5. Przedpelski 6. Allen 7. Heeps
-
I think Witches need to get used to the team being more like Plan E Vaculik, Holder, Milik, Jonsson etc. are not interested
-
Another option could be Michael Haertel at 6 on a 5.00 removing Bates then having a 5.8 rider replace Huckenbeck at 2 if there is anyone better
-
How about this for a Plan E 1. Pawel Przedpelski 7.00 2. Kai Huckenbeck 5.53 3. Richard Lawson 6.72 4. Scott Nicholls 6.64 5. Danny King 6.52 6. Josh Bates 5.27 7. Cameron Heeps 4.72 Potentially with some reductions you may be able to fit in Ricky Wells in place of Huckenbeck?

From a good source that I have been told that if the top flight becomes more of what the championship is now, then current Championship averages will stand and Premiership averages will be amended for those riders "technically" dropping down although it would become the "top flight" so doubtful a team could consist of Doyle, Ellis, Lawson, Nicholls & Cook - a team may be able to fit two of those names in a team, its going to be watered down, basically so teams can afford to pay a doyle etc. but have lower-order riders in the team who get paid less, so save in one hand to give away to your no.1 with the other. I'm hearing and I may well be wrong that it could potentially be a 12 team top league built to championship standard, then a North/South divided National League consisting of 8 teams per division but we will find out for sure in a few weeks
-
I don't think Witches will be part of the top league as Louis recently said that they will only move when the time is right and right now the right time is non-existant, so he will be in the new hybrid championship/national league level However, I would like to see them go up to the top league as it will be built to current Championship strength which with the fan base would work plus the trump card is young Drew Kemp who could hold his own and develop in the top division. What team would you prefer out of these two? 1. Rory Schlein 2. Bradley Wilson-Dean 3. Adam Ellis 4. Ty Proctor 5. Scott Nicholls 6. Nathan Greaves 7. Drew Kemp or 1. Jason Doyle 2. Josh Pickering 3. Nico Covatti 4. Mark Riss 5. Adam Ellis 6. Coty Garcia 7. Drew Kemp
