  1. Not really, it was just an example of what you could achieve if the limit is what Swindon finished on, you'll find some teams can have better overall strength So limit should stay at 42.5
  2. 46.34 for Swindon to keep their same line up and others have the same limit, remember that swindon have 2 x 3 pointers in this side so Ipswich as an example could have this side 1. Iversen 7.54 2. Heeps 6.37 3. Grajczonek 7.29 4. King 6.83 5. Klindt 7.43 6. Allen 5.56 7. Covatti 5.27 I think this team would beat Swindon over two legs as the strength in depth is too much, so think the limit should stay at 42/42.5
  3. Gavan You're just as bad as steve at times as you've taken his comment and reworded it to a way in which you can pick him to bits He said it's more important to the home team to have a regular 1-7 which is true, 99% of the crowd will be the home crowd wanting to watch their 7 If the away side has two guests then it's not the end of the world to the home side if you are wanting to cheer on your home teams 1-7 He didn't even suggest that he wants to see poole beat weakened teams 5-1 each race, you should know more than most that sometimes with away guests you end up stronger than usual as you can guest in track specialists. What that does however is make a mockery of the sport and league table I'll agree with that, as it's your oppositions riders who have helped a rival club gain league position... cant see aguero banging in 30 goals for tottenham to help them finish top 4 then getting his Title winning medal for City
  4. Would love to see Glasgow Belle vue Sheffield Wolverhampton Kent/Somerset Kings Lynn Ipswich Poole Peterborough Swindon Making it a 10 team league
  5. Think Glasgow have stated theyd move up if there were more variety of teams and also an incentive Cant see a financial incentive as the rights are FOC Unless they feel they can get more sponsors in using the deal perhaps I dont think we'll see a title sponsor
  6. Eurosport dont pay for the best domestic super bike series in the World, it offers them fantastic coverage and they cover their production costs. British Speedway is a time filler nothing more nothing less so wont be paying up any money for it. However clubs and riders should be able to sell to sponsors better as it's at least a long term deal and the audience is potentially bigger if it can tap into the other audiences from the other sports they offer
  7. £0 will only be covering their own production costs
  8. Reserves should be riders from the commonwealth only
  9. I'll stick with Poor because the points he would have got from stopped races weren't his until the race was completed. Bit like not having a fiver to lose in the first place so not unlucky to lose it lol Overall NKI was a poor signing
  10. Pretty sure poole would be happy with Worral Newman Perks Jonasson Shanes Then whatever else fits
  11. Think NKI was poor rather than unlucky as I've said numerous times elsewhere if he can gate in the first running he can gate in the rerun, no excuses really. Bit like a penalty shootout well if I went the other way it would have gone in, or my team mate missed so I missed also but if his would of gone in etc.
  12. 1. Cook 7.82 2. Nicholls 5.50 3. King 6.83 4. Allen 5.56 5. Schlein 6.65 6. Covatti 5.27 7. Douglas 4.64
  13. Think witches would be daft if not looking at bringing back some riders fans can relate to Covatti and Schlein must be on the radar Allen must be first on the list Nicholls as a potential reserve? All riders fans can relate to then throw in a Cook and an upcoming no.7 Fans will soon "relate" to a winning side
  14. That's why I said everyone has to do their bit All as important as each other the sport can't continue with the combination of - Clubs - Riders - Fans If we drop to 13 heats it's less mechanical costs for riders over the season, only a little saving of course however less heats is also less income so that's their sacrifice right there People want weekly speedway which for me would be £25 a meeting with programme with a little bit of food perhaps That would be £100 per month for 4 regular meetings... Now if it was £25 including programme and I go twice plus but a little bit of food that's £60 per month For the sport you love would you not pay the extra £20 I would Then it's down to the club to use the extra revenue and less cost to lay the foundations for the club to be enjoyed by future generations
  15. Even with heeps the entertainment are foxhall isn't great I would say the crowds will stay large or improve based on winning rather than on track entertainment. Heeps maybe worth the risk but I'd only take Allen 100% I'd let the rest go, let Danny ride Peterborough
  16. Apologies, didn't know you were his agent
  17. It's not all about average improves no but it is about average decreases too If witches had 3 x chris Harris' this season they would have suffered
  18. Only one I would keep is Allen, I'm concerned Heeps wont improve on this season risky on that average if you look overall rather than just home form, but I am sure at least Allen, King and Heeps will be back. 1. Cook 7.82 2. Heeps 6.37 3. Musielek 6.21 4. Covatti 5.72 5. King 6.83 6. Allen 5.56 7. Proctor? Would that fit with reductions? If you go a fresh route 1. Klindt 7.43 2. Allen 5.56 3. Schlein 6.65 4. Grajczonek 7.29 5. Musielek 6.21 6. Perks 7. Nicholls 5.50
  19. Yep but if you base your calculations of £25 a meeting for 15 heats its then not value for money. Everyone has to play their part for the longevity of the sport Riders riding 13 heats means less maintenance but slightly less earning capacity Promoters will save on a reduced 13 heat format, less wages to pay, if they can keep sponsorship the same amount etc. That helps keep clubs more financially healthy Fans can either pay more for the product or it is reduced slightly to the good old days of 13 heats and fans do their bit As for the original idea of the poster... Can't see why the premier league can't start in a cup/group format in April to May with the final in September with some league fixtures starting in May also Then the championship/NL can start late May until mid July with play offs end of July The Premiership then resumes Mid July til end of August with plays offs in September Would make it easier doubling up, fans of the PL clubs may go watch other clubs during the "summer break" when some of the international meetings are also on When the CL/NL is finished then these fans may boost attendances locally at PL tracks I dont think it works at present with 3 leagues all running at the same time
  20. Is it better value? What if they say "less is more so let's call it £25 to watch speedway" as it's only a dozen meetings people will pay it Or keep it £18 to watch 13 heats instead meaning less races, less cost for riders, less cost for promoters etc. Also with 13 heats do correct me if I am wrong but reserves only get 3 program rides? With a protected no.7 it would be better to do it this way British U23 with a certain average criteria so Lambert would not be at no.7
  21. 10 or 12 team league 13 Heat Format No.7 protected British U23 Home and Away once One Cup Competition Start April finish in August Play offs in September
  22. It's as simple as this If NKI can gate and lead a race which is then stopped then he can gate, lead and win the rerun, no excuses really So none of this "would have scored 14" he didn't score 14 and was poor but not the worst rider If that was a grand prix final and he had a world title on the line you'd expect him to jump out the start no matter how many restarts
  23. This team has obviously rode above themselves most of the season so their averages will reflect that for some anyway so based on current average I'd keep Allen NKI but doubt he wants it The rest I would let go
