Lynn should get Doyley been off the pace in the SGP this season had to rely on the wild card, looked out of sorts at the SON he seems on his way down to perfect signing for Lynn Doyle Andersen/Another Jorgensen Kerr Lawson That's not a bad main body
-
Wrong chat lol
-
Still think give it to Crumpy if he doesnt ride but got a feeling he won't want to bow out how it planned out this year
-
40 points for the top 5? that works out at 8pts per rider If they go with 2 rising stars, I can see the main body of the team being around 32-34pts Max 1. Palm-Toft 7.17 2. Nicholls 6.71 3. Ostegaard 7.09 4. Harris 7.02 5. Andersen 7.05 so replace Ostegaard with BWD at 5.60 Total 35.04 This season was 36+ 1x Rising Star so if the R/S doesn't change I would expect that to remain the same, if its 2 x R/S i'm leaning more towards 34 than 32 but they'll probably pick 30 which would be ridiculous, say 34 points and in comparison, Kings Lynn could look like 1. Doyle 8.93 2. Andersen 4.36 3. Jorgensen 5.91 4. Kerr 5.73 5. Lawson 7.37 Thats a fair bit under the limit so room to replace Andersen
-
The only reason he might give GB a try is the reaction he got from the crowd that could tempt him however I would be surprised if bangs rode here, I'm not overly confident Hansen would rider here as well but would love to see it
-
Think Lynn are more likely to see Doyle than any of the young prospects
-
Unless the fixed race night changes then Oxford will be in the Championship anyway running on Friday nights... I think both Holders are going to be at Sheffield next season, could be the only season especially if Jack qualifies for the GP's in 2023 Possibility that Iversen, Zagar, Doyle maybe looking to the UK alongside the likes of Klindt, Thorsell some other foreigners that have missed season or two plus some younger foreign riders, then you will get an influx of new aussies, BWD said he is looking to ride next season with another Kiwi rider, who that is I do not know.
-
I'll try again I've put Hansen in any predicted line up for the Witches that includes Klindt, as I feel that will give any side a better chance of singing Hansen with a fellow dane in the side. However saying that I added Witches could get Klindt and another young Danish rider as its rumoured there is another young Danish rider who is looking for a Prem slot next season. It always helps a young foreign rider having a fellow countryman in the same side who can help them riding over here. As ever you are going to have at least 10-12 riders rumoured or linked with a side before any team is finally settled, King is without doubt going to be on the team sheet, all depends for me what the intention with Crumpy is, once that is known the other rumours slot into place
-
Have predicted Hansen in any predicted line up that includes Klindt two Danes, the Witches have a great chance of him or another Dane coming with Klindt Not long now anyway might hear the team before this season finishes
-
Strong possibility it could be 1. King 2. Starke/Heeps 3. Cook 4. Hansen 5. Klindt 6. Rowe 7. Kemp

Speedway needs to open it's eyes and look for additional cover I've ran events, we had a local ambulance on site plus a private "medical car" which came with two paramedics The private medics would perform pre event medicals for participants and also deal with any potential injuries during the event If an injury required a trip to hospital but without the need for assistance the athlete would be accompanied by a volunteer If a more serious issue occurred (thankfully it never did) the ambulance could take the athlete while the event still had medical cover Oh and there was also a doctor on sight as well. Having one ambulance is doing it on the cheap, hoping for minimal risk and ultimately betraying the fans when it goes wrong
-
How about they just throw Edinburgh out of the play offs? How many times does speedway shoot itself in the foot time after time, should have adequate medical cover at all meetings just like all other forms of motorsport but it's all about trying to run a professional sport on the cheap. Hope the AGM discusses this plus track covers and the fact speedway shouldn't run into October anyway
-
How about this for a side 1. Steve Worrall 2. James Wright 3. Simon Lambert 4. Kasper Andersen 5. Richie Worral 6. Danny Phillips R/S 7. Archie Freeman R/S
-
for me it all depends on SGP4 is as they are looking at standardised equipment and trying to make the entry into the sport cheaper, they've said its likely to be 125 I guess the UK could look to have a 125/250 mix but I would follow the path of SGP4

The promoters meet during the season so will have a good idea what is planned then it's just rubber stamped at the AGM of course things such as are Swindon, Birmingham etc. Running is last on the agenda I think PL/CL/NL will stay for 2022 I think for 2022 not much will change, i know the PL are desperate for two to go up and want the CL weaker to force a couple up, CL are happy as is even if 2 rising stars are required next season. For me personally i think alot has gone on in 2021 and before that to just try and get through another year in 2022 to try and get fans back regularly For 2023 The BSPL need to then jump on what discovery are doing, have a British and National League replacing the PL and CL with the national league being weaker I.e. forcing at least one if not two of the big hitters out of the league NL I would abolish and create the British Lions Juniour League, U16 4 rider teams on 125cc bikes have them race during the summer holidays, could possibly get 4 to 6 teams together 2nd half racing with an individual series Then develope an U23 league similar set up on 500cc riders aged 16-23 maybe 6 to 8 sides 4 rider teams with an individual series included Would then come in line with what discovery are doing with SGP4 > SGP2

The promoters already know what is 90% in place for next season, when you say "we know the rules" as in fans, then "we" will be the last to know and understand what is going on

BSPL launch brand new championships for 2022
Falcon1983 replied to Falcon1983's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I agree with more GP's in the future and more potential fly-away events then riders may just focus on SGP and the Polish league Some riders like to keep busy, I think we just need to focus ourselves on our own version of SGP4 SGP3 SGP2 SGP with a limited league offering -
BSPL launch brand new championships for 2022
Falcon1983 replied to Falcon1983's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
8 of the 7 rounds -
The BSPL are delighted to announce that for 2022 British Speedway will launch three exciting new championships, the first being the expansion of the British Speedway Individual Championship which will now be rebranded the “British Speedway Grand Prix Championship” and the “British Rising Star Grand Prix Championship” which replaces the current British Youth finals. The British Grand Prix Championship will consist of 16 permanent riders for 2022 and will run over 7 Championship rounds similar to the current Speedway World Grand Prix Championship, the top 12 riders in the series will automatically qualify for the 2023 series. They will be joined by the winner of the British Rising Star Championship who will gain a full-time berth into the showpiece series of British Speedway, plus the top 3 riders from the all-new British Grand Prix Challenge, which will be contested over 2 separate Semi-Finals where the top 8 from each will qualify for a one-off final to secure places for the 2023 British Speedway Grand Prix Championships. The British Grand Prix Championship will be supported by headline Sponsor Medequip under their Manage@Home Online Retail Store brand, who are a leading supplier of support living products to the UK market. Each championship round will see the podium riders walking away with a prize fund of £3k, £2k & £1k respectively with appearance money for the rest of the field, the overall Grand Prix championship top 3 finishers will share a prize fund of £50,000 plus a brand new Van for the champion curtsey of series partner Vanarama, other associate sponsors include long term speedway supporters Adrian Flux, Tru7 Group, Anlas & WD40 The all-NEW British Rising Star Grand Prix Championships will replace the British U21 & U19 championships and will feature riders listed on the current BSPL Rising Star entry lists, the championship will start with 3 Challenge Finals consisting of 12 riders with the top 4 riders from each meeting qualifying for the 12-rider British Rising Star Grand Prix Championships which will act as the support series at all the British Speedway Grand Prix Championship events, giving spectators the opportunity for more action per round and watching some of the rising talents in the country alongside their more well-known stars. The overall top 3 finishes after 7 Championship rounds will share a prize fund of £25,000.00, finishing positions across the championship will dictate their rising star status for the 2023 league season. The 12 finalists becoming 3* riders, riders finishing 5th-8th in the Challenge Finals will take 2* status, and riders finishing 9th-12th or not entering or with limited experience of league racing will take on the 1* rating, there will be no 4* rising star riders anymore. Both Series will be screened As-Live on British Eurosport across the season. Rob Godfrey, Chairman of the BSPL commented “These championships would be exciting for British riders and would give them much needed earning potential, especially for those who are not fortunate enough to race in Poland, or are not quite ready for Poland or who are coming into their twilight years of racing, unfortunately, this is just completely made up because here at the BSPL we are beyond coming up with creative ideas that could give British riders riding in Britain reason for taking up the sport or sticking to it because we need to make domestic racing work for home-based riders first and foremost”

I suppose they could keep both meaning Kings Lynn 1. Jacob Thorsell/Robert Lambert 2. Lewis Kerr 3. Thomas Jorgensen 4. Michael Palm-Toft 5. Richard Lawson 6. Connor Mountain 7. Ryan Kinsley
-
With his brother likely to line up alongside him next season then I think he will be at Sheffield As for Lynn I think Iversen to Peterborough is more or less a done deal as a replacement for Pedersen/Ostegaard Photo from what I've heard are looking to go with Iversen, Harris, Nicholls, Palm-Toft plus one other in the main body with two rising stars to come in I've mentioned Thorsell before who wanted to ride in the UK this year
-
You sure they weren't Sheffield fans dressed in Poole attire? Looks like Jack & Chris at Sheffield next season
-
Maybe they can do another round of just giving for the club, in memory of dave Tatum The money raised could go directly to the club in the form of sponsorship and to honour his memory in 2022 the team run under the banner of "Newcastle 'Dave Tatum' Diamonds Just an idea would be a good tribute and a good cause/reason for supporters across speedway to dig deep in memory of Dave
-
They need to have rising stars under the category of 1-3 stars and their rating is taken into consideration for team building So if a 45 limit and you want 2 x 3* rising stars you only have 39 points left for the main body, same if you went for 2 x 1* riders you'd then have 43 points to build a main body
-
You're 100% correct however you won't get clubs moving up when they are happy paying Championship money to the same riders. So you entice clubs up by having rising stars at no.6 & no.7 and introduce a pay structure for riders between Champ-Prem money Top flight then consists of Belle Vue, Ipswich, Kings Lynn, Peterborough, Sheffield, Wolves, Poole, & Glasgow The championship is then weakened with 1* rising star riders at no.6 & 7 and team building in place that effectively removes the top 2 from each Championship club, also removes "top 2 championship pay" so the new top 2 riders will be on reduced terms This then consists of Berwick, Edinburgh, Kent, Leicester, Plymouth, Redcar, Scunthorpe & Oxford. League once Home & Away with play-offs (minimum 14 matches, 7 home) League Cup, 2 Groups of 4 split North/South riding home and away once (6 matches 3 at home) KO Cup - 2 legged knockouts The emphasis then must be on individual championship which is beneficial to homegrown riders to compete in and earn money from to make the sport worthwhile taking up and keeping riders active who ride here domestically, let the best riders we produce go to Poland but we need something here for the rest - 12 round British Grand Prix Championship ran on weekends - 6 Round British Rising Star Championship replaces the U19/U21 series ran on weekends These two events are for Eurosport, can be recorded and broadcast "as live" on the Monday TV slot if necessary. SpeedwayGBTV Live Steam service set up charged at a monthly fee of £9.99 and can have some league, cup meetings and other individual races, insights, interviews, classic meetings, documentaries etc.
