  1. Apologies they sure have I meant 2023 obviously just having a senior moment well ahead of my years so a potential 9 team top league IF swindon return in 2023
  2. yes Swindon to potentially make it 8 or 9 teams when they return in 2022 It's quite plausible that whoever moves up might have some form of carrot dangled in front of them to move away from any race night they currently run in but go back to my first reply, several weeks ago it was 2 other clubs, now its 2 other clubs, but the Poole one is the strongest of the lot, but if they allow them to run Wednesdays, what is to stop other clubs running whenever they wanted to as well **edit** IF swindon return in 2022 not WHEN, IF IF IF
  3. I think 6 weeks ago or more I was hearing Plymouth/Kent were looking to move up Now I have heard the Lions rumour too and the Poole rumour is allegedly stronger than ever (with special dispensation to race on Wednesday nights at home). Premiership Belle Vue Ipswich Kings Lynn Peterborough Sheffield Wolves Leicester and/or Poole Championship Berwick Edinburgh Glasgow Kent Newcastle Plymouth Redcar Scunthorpe Oxford potential at least for a 7 side Prem with a view to Swindon making it 8 possibly 9 if Poole do go up. Championship a 9 team division possibly 10 if one of Lions/Poole do not go up then question marks over Birmingham, Eastbourne If Leicester go up then the next rumour that goes with that is that they will cease the Leicester Cubs side in the NDL NDL would leave Mildenhall, Armadale, Colts, Bullets, Royals, Mildenhall and possibly Brum/Eastie
  4. not 100% sure but think someone has mooted first week of November
  5. Batchelor > Panthers is a non-starter even on that average there are other options that are far more likely
  6. Well I'm sure say selecting one or two rising stars then it's free for all wont work as clubs cant afford it or may go bust trying Someone on this forum came up with a good idea of rounding averages up and down, and when explained it was or at least sounded pretty good Issue with averages is it doesnt reward those that have a good year and you get riders who drop their averages on purpose Right now I have no idea what the answer is
  7. You would need a panel selected unfortunately by the BSPL maybe 3 people minimum and hope it's done fairly with no hidden agendas for their club benefits Or a rule base of if your average is between 2 figures you're category D for example I think whole average system to build teams just doesnt work anymore and it's so open to foul play
  8. I think so mate Skidder - it kinda makes Poole in the top flight just not at their track lol
  9. here i am, the forums resident team builder.... 1. Jack Holder 8.68 2. Ben Cook 4.00 3. Adam Ellis 8.12 4. Josh Pickering 7.12 5. Chris Holder 7.16 6. Danyon Hume R/S 7. Jordan Jenkins R/S
  10. This is why averages to build teams should be abolished and replaced with categorized riders A B C, D, E plus the rising stars
  11. More chance of Eastenders putting a team in the Premier League than Eastbourne possibly with Ricky riding at 1 with Bianca team manager. Oxford already stated racing Friday nights only Glasgow is a possibility Poole a possibility if they get special dispensation for running Wednesday nights Or.... are they going left field and allowing clubs to run on any night they wish As for a 2022 Belle Vue side... 1. Max Fricke 9.23 2. Keynan Rew 4.00 3. Josh Pickering 7.06 4. Charles Wright 6.07 5. Dan Bewley 9.14 6. Tom Brennan R/S 7. Dan Thompson R/S
  12. As it is mentioned that people want to encourage Poole to go up based on the above, based on my thoughts on team building points limit, (not long until we find out for sure) here are a couple of teams, I have changed the Championship to 32 points straight away as its a mission to select a side Premiership 1. Adam Ellis 8.12 2. Nico Covatti 5.27 3. Troy Batchelor 5.57 4. Jason Crump 5.36 5. Brady Kurtz 7.35 6. Benjamin Basso 4.00 7. Danyon Hume R/S Championship 1. Danny King 9.22 2. Cameron Heeps 4.95 3. Benjamin Basso 5.00 4. Keynan Rew 5.00 5. Adam Ellis 7.66 6. Danyon Hume R/S 7. Seb Clouting R/S
  13. Premiership 36 points team building with 1 x Rising Star Championship 30 point team building with 2 x Rising Stars
  14. Never said awful off the pace at World level meaning probably 12-18 months possibly not in the GP anymore, so would open up riding in the UK I.e. on his way down in his career
  15. Lynn should get Doyley been off the pace in the SGP this season had to rely on the wild card, looked out of sorts at the SON he seems on his way down to perfect signing for Lynn Doyle Andersen/Another Jorgensen Kerr Lawson That's not a bad main body
  16. Still think give it to Crumpy if he doesnt ride but got a feeling he won't want to bow out how it planned out this year
  17. 40 points for the top 5? that works out at 8pts per rider If they go with 2 rising stars, I can see the main body of the team being around 32-34pts Max 1. Palm-Toft 7.17 2. Nicholls 6.71 3. Ostegaard 7.09 4. Harris 7.02 5. Andersen 7.05 so replace Ostegaard with BWD at 5.60 Total 35.04 This season was 36+ 1x Rising Star so if the R/S doesn't change I would expect that to remain the same, if its 2 x R/S i'm leaning more towards 34 than 32 but they'll probably pick 30 which would be ridiculous, say 34 points and in comparison, Kings Lynn could look like 1. Doyle 8.93 2. Andersen 4.36 3. Jorgensen 5.91 4. Kerr 5.73 5. Lawson 7.37 Thats a fair bit under the limit so room to replace Andersen
  18. The only reason he might give GB a try is the reaction he got from the crowd that could tempt him however I would be surprised if bangs rode here, I'm not overly confident Hansen would rider here as well but would love to see it
  19. Think Lynn are more likely to see Doyle than any of the young prospects
  20. Unless the fixed race night changes then Oxford will be in the Championship anyway running on Friday nights... I think both Holders are going to be at Sheffield next season, could be the only season especially if Jack qualifies for the GP's in 2023 Possibility that Iversen, Zagar, Doyle maybe looking to the UK alongside the likes of Klindt, Thorsell some other foreigners that have missed season or two plus some younger foreign riders, then you will get an influx of new aussies, BWD said he is looking to ride next season with another Kiwi rider, who that is I do not know.
  21. I'll try again I've put Hansen in any predicted line up for the Witches that includes Klindt, as I feel that will give any side a better chance of singing Hansen with a fellow dane in the side. However saying that I added Witches could get Klindt and another young Danish rider as its rumoured there is another young Danish rider who is looking for a Prem slot next season. It always helps a young foreign rider having a fellow countryman in the same side who can help them riding over here. As ever you are going to have at least 10-12 riders rumoured or linked with a side before any team is finally settled, King is without doubt going to be on the team sheet, all depends for me what the intention with Crumpy is, once that is known the other rumours slot into place
  22. Have predicted Hansen in any predicted line up that includes Klindt two Danes, the Witches have a great chance of him or another Dane coming with Klindt Not long now anyway might hear the team before this season finishes
  23. Strong possibility it could be 1. King 2. Starke/Heeps 3. Cook 4. Hansen 5. Klindt 6. Rowe 7. Kemp
  24. Speedway needs to open it's eyes and look for additional cover I've ran events, we had a local ambulance on site plus a private "medical car" which came with two paramedics The private medics would perform pre event medicals for participants and also deal with any potential injuries during the event If an injury required a trip to hospital but without the need for assistance the athlete would be accompanied by a volunteer If a more serious issue occurred (thankfully it never did) the ambulance could take the athlete while the event still had medical cover Oh and there was also a doctor on sight as well. Having one ambulance is doing it on the cheap, hoping for minimal risk and ultimately betraying the fans when it goes wrong
