  1. You can also partner Batch with Doyle at 1 & 2 I think with Heeps & Starke both in the side really you have two riders there that need to be in that reserve berth all season, which was the witches issue last season they had 3 riders that really needed to be in the reserve berth last season, Starke done well there but even heeps with his injury managed to end up with a higher average, so for me if it was a choice I would have heeps at 6 alongside Rowe and change Starke. I understand people want Craig in the side but maybe he isn't an option anyway as he is tied up elsewhere, but really if it was a possibility you would want Doyle, Batchelor, Cook, Riss, King, Heeps, Rowe, that has so much potential although slightly risky perhaps, 5 heat leaders really and the best rising star If things are changing by the hour as some people seem to think, then if its possible to do Batch/Cook/Riss then just let Starke go now but thats not the Ipswich way
  2. I don't think the slice of TV money has anything to do with it because it's not a lot as it is. It is more the case of the Championship probably finding the level that British Speedway should be run at, and clubs asking themselves why they should potentially run the risk of folding by moving up and making losses
  3. well what actually happened was they ended up in the same town, not sure if it was after a meeting or not, both probably drank a little bit too much RL was taking a p!ss in the car park, RW saw what he thought was a long-haired attractive woman semi-clothed in the car park, a drunken exchange was made which gave RW what he thought was the green light to proceed, then obviously this lead to the embarrassment of RW realising it was RL After a very firm no, some handbags so to speak were exchanged RL accused RW of being in the wrong and saying he shouldn't approach people in car parks RW accused RL of being in the wrong for having long hair and shaving his legs
  4. there was an incident in a car park between the two i believe last year sometime after one of the covid lockdowns were lifted involved some alcohol-fuelled engagement, or do you need specific information? neither will admit being in the wrong and won't forgive each other either
  5. actually if Holder is available and joins his brother at Sheffield 1. Doyle 2. Batchelor 3. Musielek 4. Riss 5. King 6. Starke 7. Rowe Yes please!
  6. a potential team incorporating holder bearing in mind Starke is at Reserve 1. Doyle 8.96 2. Heeps 5.10 3. Holder 7.16 4. Riss 5.26 5. King 7.76 6. Starke 4.46 7. Rowe R/S
  7. Doyle 8.96 King 7.96 Starke 4.58 Rowe R/S Leaves 17.50 Cook/Riss/Crump (after British reductions?) Cook/Riss/Nicol Crump/Riss/Nicol Nicholls/Heeps/Riss Nicholls/Heeps/Crump Musielek/Riss/Howarth (after British reductions?) Batchelor/Nicholls/Heeps Have any of the press releases hinted at any other announcements?
  8. Hasn't Holder not signed to ride in Sweden which would rule him out of the UK? I think the Starke signing is only a good one if he is riding down at no.6 As we all know King is one Did Musieleks sponsor put Sheffield up by mistake as he might be sponsored by Tru Plant but riding for Ipswich not Sheffield, I know that's highly unlikely but one can dream. 1. Doyle 2. ???? 3. 4. 5. King 6. Starke 7. Rowe Make or break time...
  9. And with some confidence will come back and score 4/5 points at Foxhall Wonder who the no.8 will be, Jenkins?
  10. I am sure there is another announcement this week right?
  11. It is nothing to do with announcing a Dane the mention of the word Lego is linked to Doyle. Not to say Basso wont sign as I'm sure he'll be in the prem somewhere Heeps, King, Riss, Doyle, Rowe as the R/S leaves two if its Basso & Cook that's a competitive side Seems Crump isnt riding this year? Plymouth have announced their 1-7 already you'd expect for PR purposes other sides would name him first based on pedigree Unless he is riding and its somewhere like Poole/Ipswich
  12. Christmas in a few weeks, spread some joy and love
  13. Think Rowe riding with his injury didnt do him any justice, if the line up is as expected Witches arguably have the best no.1 in the league (I'll await the fricke arguments) and Witches will have the best rising star in Rowe What goes inbetween that is what I worry about bar King.
  14. Replace Bjerre with Iversen, gives you a little more to play around with for no.6
  15. Holder, Starke, Musielek, Howarth, Ellis, TBC, Mountain
  16. Batch wanted big money so he could get paid for 10 when he scores 5
  17. That was 2019, a couple of years is a long time and what's he doing to pay the bills? Plus he's still racing and having success so hopefully he might get the itch to come back
  18. was committed to 2019 pre-pandemic and is still racing in Italy, there was a rumour saying he was going to stop completely but he hasn't
  19. I dont think you could pick either over either One has a 7pt average one is 4.80 So you could have one of them, both of them or none of them
  20. Think that would just about fit potentially.... Doyle, Heeps, King, Allen, Masters, Basso, Kemp Didn't expect that line up from anyone
