Michael Haertel Nico Covatti Norick Blodorn or Keynan Rew

I dont want to take a massive dump on the belle Vue bonfire but surely most the names on the first list would have made themselves available and signed to ride now so they could arrange mechanics, sponsors etc. Of course unless something breaks that is in place elsewhere? The bottom list I can see potentially any 2 completing the team but it will be way under but it's all about what a rider scores this year not last year

2022 championship predictions
Falcon1983 replied to Jaizer's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
1. Poole 2. Leicester 3. Plymouth 4. Glasgow 5. Oxford 6. Redcar 7. Scunthorpe 8. Berwick 9. Edinburgh 10. Birmingham 11. Newcastle -
Well Blodorn has a UK ride so he's probably riding at 6 with maybe Etheridge/Allen at 2 & 4
-
I just think having a team of young guns on accessed 5 averages could be quite exciting, as I said not sure what averages riders had Covatti/Auty to lead as a 1&2 But I'm sure riders like McGuinness/ Rew / Pearson / Gilmore / Blodorn would be keen to race in the UK What are riders like Huckenbeck / Haertel / Wolbert etc. Like it's been said this is a different promotion to the one before

I'm no Birmingham fan and not sure what is completely happening but I think you can go one or two ways Look to add some experience to the 4 riders you have now such as a Vissing, Covatti, Sedgman, Proctor, Bjerre etc. 1. Vissing 2. Nielsen 3. Auty 4. Sedgman 5. Covatti 6. Morris 7. Shanes Or try to get at least one of these, and sign up some young Aussies/German who are knocking around, you'd be well under the points limit but you could see a future star developing 1. Vissing/Covatti 2. Shanes 3. Nielsen 4. Rew 5. Auty 6. Blodorn/McGuinness 7. Gilmore/Pearson

Very true that just seeing what an unlimited budget team could look like, the witches side I think will be top 2
-
Might seem extreme but Fricke, Kurtz, Wright & Brennan all signed, I'd get on the phone to zee germans and see if Smolinksi fancied coming over with Blodorn then moving for Jake Allen to complete the Septet 1. Fricke 2. Allen 3. Smolinksi 4. Wright 5. Kurtz 6. Blodorn 7. Brennan Might not be as thrilling as a Tai but think it could finish top 4

so the Witches could have gone with 1. Doyle 2. Allen 3. Musielak 4. Riss 5. Woffinden 6. Heeps 7. Rowe R/S

If they included Tai what would be left over
-
Depends what the set up is Not everything can run like Poland with signing on money etc. If it's just a case for having the "opportunity" to get some extra track time it can be agreed that they get paid when they race, like 99% of all riders in British Speedway

With only 6 clubs I'm not sure why they didnt look at adopting a squad system in addition to the number 8 So the number 8 comes in if one of two reserves are injured, if both are injured then one guest. A number 9 to act as cover to riding positions 2,3,4 & 5 A number 10 who acts as cover to the no.1 rider Could/Would this be more attractive to some riders over here? Masters/Lindgren at Wolves Fricke/Tai at BV Holder/Pedersen at Sheffield Doyle/Vaculik at Ipswich Pickering/Lambert at Lynn Palm-Toft/Bjerre at Peterborough Obviously a non start unless polish restrictions were to be removed

All I'm going to say is that alot of riders struggled last season whether that's due to the covid break, mental health, relationship issues, tyre issues, financial issues etc and yeah maybe a few riders dont try at times but without knowing factually I'd never say that in a public domain. For some riders the only money they earn is through their riding, the only money they can spend on machinery is via their riding as a few aussie boys are only in on a sporting Visa so are unable to work inbetween racing, I'm sure they want to be able to pay their living costs and eat and drink. That is what I call an opinion and a fair one as that's a judgement on something you can see I.e. style and technique Lets see what 2022 brings for all riders as they have now had a full season back, all riders will be better prepared for 2022, let's hope it's an exciting close season for all connected to the sport.

These are personal feelings though arent they, you got the impression he was giving up, steve got the impression he was not trying on purpose, it's fine but are they not just your personal opinions not based on knowing any facts It's the same for all riders really, I'm privy to a little bit of information on Jake, but it's the same for all riders, it's their living I dont think many are deliberately trying to score 0's I'm sure there are reasons for most riders why they dont perform in certain meetings or for a certain duration of time, it's a very accessible sport so why not ask a rider why they are struggling rather than post it across forums, this isnt an aim at either of you personally just generally as you get a lot of people posting on all aspects of social media, just ask a rider, there are a few fans that do, you get an understanding from the horses mouth then you can put those words against your opinion then either change your opinion or come up with a new conclusion I'm all for opinions and people should have their own but some also cross a line at times which isn't necessary but then the world is filled with all types of people isnt it
-
You can have an opinion on what you want and I have no desire to change it but you're a contradiction to yourself You admit you're not in behind the scenes, you've said you've watched a lot of speedway, you can tell when someone is low on confidence and when someone is not trying. That isn't knowing facts, that's similar to just tossing a coin to come up with an answer that suits you, it's very much character assassinating to say someone isn't trying However you're not behind the scenes to know for sure why any rider might be struggling for points, there are numerous reasons why various riders struggle at times, why not go see them after a meeting and ask them
-
It's quite clear you're not behind the scenes Steve with those comments
-
I have said before that Doyle is on the wane but that was in terms of GP level think there are more hungrier riders out there However a forum anorak was quick to tell me Doyle finished in the top 3-5 of the polish averages
-
Agree with this Starke only done well mainly at reserve where he scored double figures from 5/6/7 rides Both himself and Heeps need to be at reserve really but one wont be every week
-
Throwing names around like Etheridge/Allen they are probably very realistic signings depending on who the 3rd heat leader is... Even Blodorn is realistic if they need a 4.00 which would then probably rule either Etheridge or Allen out of a spot. Fingers crossed for British Speedway that its an exciting announcement
-
remember who decides the riding order so probably be Doyle & King at 1 & 2
-
This side would beat Sheffields offering..... on paper I think out of Tai, Emil and Martin then the latter is most likely Tai has good sponsorships and deals in place already, Emil has exceptional backing too Martin is at that age where perhaps not the best position financially out of the 3 so would likely want to add to the retirement fund by getting extra £££ Probably end up with Lindback though

Vaculik

Lidsey is not doing the UK otherwise would be a great addition for the Aces
