  1. I can confirm I have never once looked back lol probably because I have quite a good memory and usually I'm wrong which bodes well for the likes of Heeps, Rowe, Starke and Batch
  2. All depends on the riding order but gonna go with Doyle – 13 Heeps – 4 Batchelor – 5 Riss – 9 King – 11 Starke – 4 Rowe – 1 47-43 Witches Win If Peterborough line up in the riding order of Palm-Toft Andersen Ostergaard Nicholls Harris Basso Palin I think that could wing it slightly the other way 46-44
  3. Doyle 8, Heeps 3, Batch 6, Riss 10, King 8, Starke 3, Rowe 1. Witches 39 Stars 51
  4. A brick hit his finger, it's more a freak injury and could happen to anyone any age who is racing
  5. Think belle vue will be alright they have Brennan and I believe Blodorn is good enough to get a 6+ average as well as Allen Kurtz is injury free this season so should kick on, Fricke will be among the highest average in the league On paper it's not the strongest side but racing isn't done on paper It's like people asking why the witches built below the limit, they got the riders they wanted who they think can improve considerably
  6. Aces - Fricke (10) Etheridge (4) , Allen (6) , Wright (6) , Kurtz (10) , Blodorn, (6) Brennan (5) 47Tigers - Holder (12) Cook (6) Musielak (7) , Howarth, (6) Ellis (8), Neilsen (3), Mountain (1) 43
  7. What about when that deal falls through which is still quite likely?
  8. This is my suggestion only and probably wouldn't be too popular.... If you move teams up into the Premier League which I will call in this instance the "British League" you then have to filter out riders to other clubs so for example, Sheffield would not have Cook, Musielak, Holder & Ellis in one side, you might have two if you are lucky, if you have say 8/10/12 clubs in the top league you are then really going to have to run at what Championship standards are now really to make it work, potentially you might have to find a medium between current prem pay rates and current championship pay rates. You could then end up with an 8/10/12 team second division which I will call the "National League" which would have to again be a balance between what the championship is now and what the national league is currently, the top end riders who would be in the current NL would have to maybe form part of the main body but not heat leader status in the 2nd division, potentially some current NL bottom end heat leaders or 2nd strings would be taking the reserve berths What the pandemic showed is that riders will get jobs if they want an income, I see riders traveling all over the world, buying houses, new bikes, new vans, etc. if it really was not paying then most riders would be on bread and butter and not having engine refreshes the Top end riders won;t need the 2nd division Danish riders can ride in Denmark Swedish riders can ride in Sweden The second division should be for commonwealth riders only who are not riding in the top flight in Sweden or Poland So aussies etc. who come over here can ride two leagues
  9. I hope any game that is released is like Fifa - Manager mode where you manage and potentially watch or play as any rider in any heat - Career mode when you are a rider or you create a rider, working your way from lower leagues to GP star I know its only going around in circles but any speedway game has to have depth to make it worth buying
  10. Anders Rowe will bet the best rising star this season However taking opinions away how great is it to talk about riders such as Rowe, Flint, Brennan, Palin etc. if only the sport allowed more youngsters to develop through the leagues....
  11. It's probably never been thought of but the witches in the past have a history of running meetings such as the 16 Lapper, Billy Sanders Memorial etc. Some of these have either been at the start or the finish of a season Why oh why do they not look at a pre season fixture where you get a very wealthy local businessman involved who funnily enough loves the sport and create something spectacular I'm talking about the "Tru7.com Challenge" and run an individual meeting featuring 16 riders plus some junior racing perhaps and have Tru7 Group promote it alongside Chris Louis Guy can offset alot of the costs via his business and with his relationships with various manufacturers could likely get say a brand new van for the winner If he was willing to cover the costs which would gain alot of local coverage (if prompted properly) you could do free entry Both Tru7 and Witches gain the data from the public (if tickets had to be reserved online) Guy could have X amount of the allocation to give to staff, families, clients etc. If one man can make it work it would be Guy Nicholls, and if I've thought of it surely more than a few others have People could argue he does alot for speedway as it is but he is also big on the local community and putting something like this together which can go into schools as part of the promotion would be a win-win
  12. I said last season I'd rather pay with a note then handle some change back from one, it ends up clogging up the washing machine or lost down the sofa As Arch Stanton mentioned, for me £20 is ok with the kids FREE as I usually only have my daughter wanting to go, so for me it's fine, might start bringing my own food tho... Saying that, I'll only likely be at 3 or 4 meetings at best this year, mainly with specific riders are in town Speedway is a low priority for me but I know it's a high priority for others and the witches have a large following like this so it will be interesting to see if they maintain as much support depending on entrance fee, cost of living, performance on track etc.
  13. Super Heat Result Jason Doyle 4 Richard Lawson 3 Josh Pickering 2 Troy Batchelor 0
  14. Doyle 13 Heeps 4 Batchelor 6 Riss 6 King 10 Starke 5 Rowe 7 Witches 51 Iversen 7 Kerr 6 Lawson 8 Jorgensen 5 Pickering 7 Worrall 5 Thomas 1 Kings Lynn 39
  15. At home Doyle, Heeps, Riss, Batchelor, King, Rowe, Starke. Away from Home Doyle, Batchelor, Riss, Heeps, King, Starke, Rowe But as its Richard Doyle, King, Batchelor, Riss, Heeps, Starke, Rowe
  16. I'm not totally against the idea of a 4-3-2-0 point scoring format to see team riding attempted However I would keep that to one competition only say the League Cup only and leave the league as it is and enable draws leave this super heat b***ocks out
  17. If you get a few teams back in 23 then you weaken both the prem and championship and just have two leagues The prem should become what the championship is now ans the championship should be something between what it is now and the National league
  18. I'm not a fan of any club, I stopped going to Speedway in 1992 when I was 9, I think I've only just got back into it the last 10 years mainly GP's I go to Foxhall often most home meetings last year but only going to manage a few this year I would imagine Hope brum if anything put an exciting team of riders who battle if anything
  19. I wont go out of business, not a brum fan lol
  20. well maybe instead of going with the riders nobody else wants, its probably worth taking a risk on assessed averages Ashley MorrisJames ShanesJosh AutyStefan Nielsen i'd rather see Matthew Gilmore, Keynan Rew and someone like Lukas Baumann get the last 3 slots as you might unearth a gem
  21. So it's two riders above Blodorns average and below Wrights with one expected to become third heat leader... If I were a BV fan I'd be excited if one was Mr Bangs or a Mads Hansen type exciting young world level rider I know both have ruled out the UK but money talks both would light up the premiership I'm surprised Lemon didnt go for Keynan Rew as well rumoured he is signing for Brum
  22. Let's be realistic how many riders would consider the UK regardless of dropping restrictions, not many that's for sure! Ok so Pedersen and Vaculik have committed before and what's happened has happened but you're not suddenly going to get all the GP riders back The board of directors should feel ashamed of themselves
