Survival of The Premiership?
Falcon1983 replied to Najjer's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This might be an idea which is a bit left field but with about 12 clubs left combining the prem and championship might be the best idea either as one league or a 6 team north division and a 6 team south Anyway thinking outside of the box why don't they look at having 7 rider teams but sort of two teams in one, a main team and a development team, those who can afford the top riders can use them For example Ipswich Witches 1. Doyle 2. Hume 3. King 4. Rew are the main body riders 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 1 & 3, 2 & 4, 1 & 4, 2 & 3 They all race with each other across 6 heats of the program No.5 Jordan Jenkins is classed as a senior reserve rider, he can only ride with the two non heat leaders So 5 & 2, 5 & 4 race together so thats an additional 2 heats taking the programme to 8 heats No.6 (Joe Thompson) and No.7 (Max Perry) are the reserves They get two reserve heats and one ride each with the senior reserve So 6 & 7, 6 & 7, 5 & 6, 5 & 7 so thats 4 races making 12 heats all 4 main riders and the senior reserve get 4 rides, the reserves 3 rides Heats 13 & 14 are nominated Its one less heat however some form of junior racing or 2nd halves could be introduced -
Someone on facebook said that's what Emil said, maybe riders only get a small fixed payment for the competiton... hopefully its not true
-
Its on facebook that appartantly doyle has a rearranged polish meeting and emil cant afford to be at the pairs
-
Isn't Hagon a buster asset?
-
Nothing from with King, people expect each rider to win all races, he's dipping between achieving his average or slightly being above so is effectively doing his job. He isn't getting any younger so you could expect him to maybe decline eventually, not everyone is like Hancock etc. Not many disagreed with the side at the start of the season Think with Riss back it will change the fortunes
-
Barker is a 28 day injury replacement So just filling the void until Riss is back Witches aren't redeclaring as Riss isn't a new signing They can replace the RS without redeclaring, but any other changes to the 1-6 will mean they'd have to
-
don't forget an Ipswich rider guests for Peterborough while Ipswich are riding WITHOUT his replacement due to injury so Witches are operating R/R for their riders 28 day replacement while their rider rides elsewhere hahahaha The jokers never officially left Speedway
-
and with Riss back I think Witches will be fine longer term, as long as Riss is fully recovered
-
Im sure its been said before Top league especially but for overall presentation taking everything into consideration This year is already more of a complete farce than last year right?
-
Gazprom are sponsoring it next season
-
That is so ****** stupid its beyond all belief, just hope Riss gets through that meeting ok

He didn't score well at Leicester last season with Plymouth so probably a track he's not keen on -

King's Lynn v Belle Vue 08/06/22

Maybe Brady might have been better off trying to negotiate with KK again instead of dropping him, if it was say a £3k guarantee per meeting for arguments sake, say I am happy to pay £3k a meeting for home matches based on your form, but due to your away scores instead of dropping you we will pay you £200 a point, KK would then have to make the decision, bet if that was on the table and he took it, those away scores would soon improve -

yes I was just picking the two heats you could use it to pair Doyle/Emil if you switched Emil to no.3 -

Ipswich will be in a position to use the T/S in heats 7 or 11 no matter who rides where -

absolutely would, Ipswich stand more chance of race wins if Emil and Doyle on paper only partner in Heat 15 although they can use the T/S option in either H7 or H11 if 6 points down so that would replace their H13 together, and H13 includes Fricke who when in-form is capable -

I'd have gone with a completely different rider order for this one, i'd have had Rew at no.2, Barker no.4 and King at 5 -

52-38 to the Aces -
Guy is also a businessman and won't just throw money at it, Chris runs it as a business to make a profit too It does amaze me I think on FB someone said that because Chris has Doyle and Emil that means he can go get whoever else he wants, glad that person doesn't carry a red briefcase around with him
-
I can't see Zagar coming in, Chris doesn't have a bottomless pit I think if Riss comes back and they get Rowe at R/S then that may well see a big upturn Riss riding at no.4 at home and Rew riding at no.4 away
-
Both Zagar and Dudek have dropped their demands but its no guarantee either will rock up at PBoro
-
Yep I'd take Riss back fit and have Rowe as RS think that side will be capable when it counts
-
I'm surprised that CL didn't know half the riders, that's a worry in itself, if CL doesn't know half the riders, then RH is going to know even less than half of that half lol Anders Rowe is what the Witches need at 7 I think with the likes of Doyle, Emil in the side it will bring him on leaps and bounds and IF he gets anywhere near showing his TRUPotential then he has shown in the past he can score points in the main body, so having him at 7 would be the best option but that's only in my opinion I'd change the RS first, have a meeting or two then if things are still iffy and Riss is nowhere near back within the 28 day period that Barker has come in to cover, I would have to take a look at a permanent signing, I think I am right but maybe wrong if that change had to happen now and Witches had to redeclare and be under 39 points then currently the side is 38.30 and Barker is 4.38, so gives Witches a total of 5.08 to play with to replace Riss as you can't replace Riss on a 6.14 as you'd be over the limit 5.08 riders.... Hans Andersen 4.96 Ben Barker 4.38 Cameron Heeps 4.18 Paul Starke 3.53 Craig Cook 5.05 Connor Mountain 4.51 Foreign Rider on a 5.00 which is unlikely For me Doyle, Rew, Emil, Riss, King, Hume, Rowe is best or Doyle, Rew, Emil, Cook, King, Hume, Rowe I know Danyon has done incredibly well at times this season but if he has these arm pump issues and can't do 5/6/7 rides then maybe there will come a time when they may look at that, in that last side you could have Cook & Barker in with Riss & Hume out

Ipswich v Wolves June 1st
Falcon1983 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If you look into the Ipswich side starting from the bottom Away from home you can forgive your rising star scoring 0,0,0 if he gets a single point away then happy days. At home however his job in essence is to beat his opposite rising star in two heats thus scoring 2 points. Is Anders Rowe capable, i would say yes so get him in. King in essence at home should average 2 points per ride, so 8 from 4 as a minimum, last night he got 6 from 5 Barker i know has a lower average than Riss but he is in to get what Riss should, so 6/7 points from 4 rides on average, last night he got 5 from 5 Rew is on an assessed average so should be looking at getting 5 from 4 rides, last night RR scored 3 Danyon has the hardest job as most other clubs have a no.6 who is more experienced and score fairly well when in form, Danyon has really good meetings where he exceeds expectations and others where he's maybe his level, so from him knowing he has 5 rides at least winning his reserve race and maybe 3 third places out of his other 4 rides he should get 6 from 5 rides, last night he got 5 Based on Doyle and Emil getting 23 last night if everyone else got what was expected as a minimum its a total of 50/51 thats including the RS getting 2 points at home These riders apart from Doyle and Emil are and will always be inconsistent but when they all have a bad night this side will be exposed. 50/51 they could probably get away with one rider having a poor night
