2025 GP line up/wildcards

Love you, Gumbo......😀 There's a real possibility that next years SGP series could have the greatest line up we've seen so far (in its current guise)......... I wish there were 5 WC choices available ha...... but will 'politics' play a part? Disclosure, my ideal choices would be Doyle, Michelsen, Laguta, Sayfutdinov...... However, that would only put 2 official Poles in the series..... would Poland accept that? Does Thomsen getting in, mean only 1 of Michelsen / Madsen get in? Does the fact there are 3 Aussies in, mean Doyle may not get in? Will there be a German / Czech (or both?) be put in for appeasement? I hope my 4 get in (and I wouldn't cry too much if Madsen got in over Michelsen)....... But I fear 'people pleasing' will stop this...... Cheers all -
Thanks @gmarsbar2 & @Rob B

apologies, I am dumb ha, but which plan?I've a choice of 3, basic, standard & premium......... thank you

SGP wild cards 2024
JC71 replied to longmeadow's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Ah it was more to do with a new rider coming in, and surprising everyone. I love Tai, he got me back into watching the GPs........ I'm not convinced he should be there next season (though I'm happy he is) -
SGP wild cards 2024

One thing I will say, several years ago (?2013), Tai Woffendin was given a wildcard, probably due to nationality. Cue much mirth and derision (sponsored by Audi, 0000) etc......... and look how that turned out....... -

I possibly wouldn't be against that..... So, maybe, Zmarzlik Lindgren Vaculik Holder Masden Lambert Kvech Michaelsen (?sp) Bewley Ledbedevs Becker Doyle Wozniak (Ideal world) Laguta Sayfutdinov If not the Russians (Poles), then Woffinden A N Other (? Thomson) -

That would surely add weight to Ledbedevs (sp?) being in...... -
I'd love to give a huge reply to this, articulate a massive response, but I feel, quite simply, you're 100% correct, and you've said everything that needs saying........ sad times for the whole of British Speedway...... cheers

Hi Aries, hope you're well....... I've read, and totally (I think) understood all your posts tonight........ I've seen no threats by you at all, just you urging caution that people don't libel themselves on this forum, if anything, you've been a voice of reason, not in so much as you're banging a drum, simply you seem to be saying 'people, be careful'...... I've liked the approach...... I'm a Panthers fan, started (?) late 70s or early 80s, NL days, Andy Hines, Richard Greer, Mick Hines, Dave Allen, Andy Buck, Ian Barney (apologies to the other legends I've missed)..... became lost to the sport, then pretty much came back due to Tai Woffinden ridiculously winning his first title....... what I'm trying to say is that when I first started watching P'bro, the EOES was almost rural, just off the A1, nearest houses probably in Alwalton...... over the years, P'bro has spread massively, so that now it's a proper part of the city.... and in my eyes, therein lies the problem............... I personally don't think it's impossible that KC has met developers, and they've said, 'we'll make it worth your while to go quietly'..... it might be highly improbable, but not impossible........ and any potential (ahem) future sponsorship of KL would be worth significantly more than selling an air fence, a name, a couple of tractors... developers have a lot of cash........ I guess people like ourselves will never know the full truth..... and so the claims will always carry on.... Cheers Edited to add that I forgot the Aussies..... Mick Poole, Ron Schliebs, Craig Hodgson (RIP)... plus the others....

Apologies, this may sound stupid, I can be quite naïve at times, but is a drugs test, checking your pee? Coz I had a pee 40 minutes ago, and no way could I do another one right now (though I'm 51, so probably Mr Prostate has something to do with that)....... would they let you drink a couple of litres of water? Purely interested / curious, that's all
-
Yep, missed that, sorry, my bad

Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Your close to the line there... But you already know that. Surely that's all a metaphor........... BRF is saying P'bro is the loyal wife, the Polish club are the cheap tart............ Edited 2 hours ago by Bald Bloke

Early to mid 80's, driving from Stamford to EOES (?12 miles), Hereward Radio on, unsure of the opponents, heard that the meeting was off because (?) a tornado had hit the pits and took the roof off........ turned round at the A47 ha.........
-
Oooooh ......... Wiggins..........
-
Wasn't it just........ I was even shouting at my laptop
-
If Tai lets GB use his bikes, our chances are slightly better than I thought they were going to be
-
Ha, dodgy keyboard on his part I reckon ....... cheers for confirming
-
Hi R&R...... hope you don't mind, you seem a font of knowledge........ I clicked that link, and on it it says 4 time World Champion........ where did the 4th one come from?
-
Yeah, I remember at the time (and this isn't meant as a dig as such, I don't think anyone thought he'd win it) that he should be sponsored by Audi (OOOO).........
