  1. Really? I thought Ellis would be 'Dorset' bound?
  2. Our hands were tied last season, as we didn't know what league we'd be in, so our team building was somewhat delayed. Looks like the Masons are spoiling us this season......thank you Peter/David!
  3. Massive long shot but........Be a great coup if we persuaded Martin Smolinski to return?
  4. Yes Sidney....he has the ability to hold his own at reserve and is very exciting to watch......my observations are only my personal opinions about him making progress
  5. If we signed Danyon it would compromise the quality of signing another heat leader? We definitely need to sign someone who can gate!!! (Covatti/King/Ellis)
  6. Covatti or Danny King would be my choice and as someone mentioned earlier, Joe Lawlor. Ellis will be signing for Poole!
  7. I would love Hume to prove me wrong, but imo his reactions do not last the whole meeting.....just my opinion. This leads to falls/injuries....... Lovely lad though and I certainly want him to be successful wherever he rides!
  8. Paco at reserve fills me with optimism ! Covatti next please ??? Arnio has signed for Scunthorpe (wish him well and dread it when he comes to PB)
  9. He flies around PB and would be a great acquisition for Birmingham imo.
  10. Any news what Nico is doing next season?
  11. What's happening with Connor Mountain? Can we have him please?
  12. What average is Lawlor? (I'm guessing 2.00) I've seen him at PB a couple of times with indifferent performances. Looks more than capable of doing a steady job at reserve. In the mould of Stoneman imo. He will definitely improve on a 2 average (with the right machinery) Would've looked at Connor Mountain if Leicester didnt re-sign him? rides PB extremely well.
  13. Nico Covatti would be a great signing if we can get him....would team up well with Paco?
  14. Agertoft is definitely not a 4 point rider and needs to invest in decent equipment to make any grounds. He does have natural talent and is one for the future imo…. Thomsen showed signs in his first stint what he was capable of, but didn't seem quick enough? on his second stint he clearly had invested in better equipment, or a better tuner and he was right on the pace...…..if he came back as well as he finished, then he's a very good prospect. Love Danyon, but there's something missing in his make-up to go any further in this sport (imo…) We definitely need to sign someone who can 'trap' ???
  15. If that's the case, then another strong heat leader and a 'lesser' reserve would be my preferred option? Luke Becker springs to mind again?
  16. I hope he (Kemp) does well, simply for the future of British speedway. He definitely has the potential to follow Lambert and Bewley imo…..
  17. Paco to be the next signing imo ? I love Paco but I can't see him improving too greatly on last season's average, simply because he doesn't take risks, or put it another way, he only seems to ride one line? He's a very safe and stylish rider and great if he makes the start. I'd rather we signed Aarnio if available?
  18. Very envious....'Kemp' is a great signing imo…. not sure why he'd want to ride Eastbourne every week though? just my opinion.
  19. I have a feeling that Agertoft will get the nod over Thomsen ? Paco/Morris and Agertoft not sure what that would leave us with for the final piece in the jigsaw?
  20. Harris Garrity Morris Shanes Thomsen Paco = 36.04 (I think?) I'd take Stoneman on 3.27
  21. And availability? Track prep is vital imo.....the owners were dropped in it last season with Terry? giving up after a couple of meetings? It's not an easy job and looking back, we did the best we could with what was available. A new track curator is a must, especially with Harris/Garrity our main men!
