  1. EXACTLY! And let's face it... we're not stupid....the writing is definitely on the wall !
  2. They need the money ??? League match V Leicester or poxy cup match v Edinburgh ??? No brainer as far as income's concerned....
  3. I can sympathise with Edinburgh supporters who have had their planned visit to B'ham disrupted, but I sympathise far more with the B'ham fans who face losing their beloved Brummies once again..... The fixture switch is obviously essential to our existence.....but I can only think that it's another temporary stay of execution and might just be an opportunity to pay off some of the clubs accrued debts so far this season.....I totally understand and have empathy for the Masons.....they've done their best!
  4. I agree! May be an initial cash income injection is needed.....obviously a match v Leicester will bring in a bit more that a cup tie against Edinburgh. Personally, I don't think that the increased crowd levels will be enough to keep Peter/David at the club beyond this season...
  5. Totally agree with Woofers! It's called 'common sense'!
  6. Riss ??? My fear is, he may be 'intentionally' lowering his average.....because if we do fold, he will be more versatile to other teams ? (just a thought) We all know that 'average' fixing goes on......
  7. Park on Holford Drive.....left turn at the lights 200 metres before the stadium...traffic is sh#te leading up to the One Stop!
  8. Exactly....I think the best we can hope for is a 'stay of execution' !?
  9. Good luck with the rush hour traffic between Jcnts 5 - 7 !
  10. I fancy a big B'ham win.....14 points! especially after the p#ss poor performance at Leicester. (Harris excepted...)
  11. Yes, but you don't hit the zone if you use the M6 Jct5 or Jct7.....
  12. Should be a fair bit quieter using my suggested route if you aim to get off the M6 around 6.30ish? Safe journey!
  13. I have a suggestion for the Brummie's management and they'll probably hate me for suggesting this.... But if a speedway fan is coming from a 'certain' distance (may be minimum 30 miles) then they should receive a free car park pass ? (just a thought/incentive?) As for best route: My advice would be to get off the M6 at junction 5 (if you're coming from the South) and follow the A452 for approx 4/5 miles (it's a fairly busy road, but usually keeps moving) eventually turning left on to A453, follow till near the stadium and turn left on to Holford Drive (park on this road). Stadium is 5 mins walk. All told...it's probably a 20 mins drive (in rush hour) from Jctn 5 M6.....then only 10 mins when going home
  14. Whatever he gets paid....he definitely earns it! Love Bomber!
  15. Credit to Harris considering the state of our track....I'm really pleased to see such a great guy as Stevie Worrall doing so well.
  16. Looks like it wouldn't have had any impact at any point of the match....I'm surprised Harris was used considering he probably earns more per point?
  17. Hope you're right...Met office forecast showers between 1 - 7 pm ..... Having said that....they're not always right!
  18. Agreed, but the trouble is....unless you log on to the website, you wouldn't see it? It needs to be 'hitting' the local press/radio/media etc..... I think (and its very difficult to do...) the 'speedway' word needs to be spread..... It's a tough one!
  19. Not one comment from a B'ham supporter about the meeting? (worrying...)
  20. I think the owners would have hoped for a rain off....but that doesn't look likely! If everyone gives their all....then I fancy us to run close and lose by 8 points?
  21. True...but if they have, then it would be respectful to let the 'loyal' fans know (i.e season ticket holders.... bought in faith...)
  22. I certainly wouldn't hold it against Peter/David if they have to submit....but I'm sure the fans will have more respect if they try and find someone to take over the reins first, before just giving up.....I know that it's most likely that there wont be any interested parties, but may be a Midland select combination (Brum/Cov/Cradley) could step in? after all, Cradley ground shared with us a couple of years back? Surely if you're passionate about the sport, then you'd travel 20 or so miles to watch your team? Just a thought.....
