  1. Going back to the match....I think it was an error to use Paco in heat 15.....he was never going to win from gate 4, he'd had 6 rides already and he's not great under pressure... I would've expected my Number 1 to step up and do the business from gate 2 and Harris off 4 would've worked the cut back....just my opinion!
  2. No excuse for a poor surface...we've known about it since the start of the season.....it looks like we've given up already!? If it's a week by week situation (as the 'management' have stated...) it appears that we're not bothering spending time or money on the the most important thing...'the track'!
  3. P.s I'm pleased for Bjarne...nice guy.....I was very wrong.....I can only remember how poor he was when he 'missed' the gate whilst riding at B'ham....i can't ever remember him passing anyone? He's doing great this season, in two very weak British Leagues....(not his fault, British speedway is dire...)
  4. Have you sent a message to Pinny as well ???
  5. Blimey...it's took you some time to dig that up....you must be bored!
  6. Agreed ! If Riss rides like a No.1 should ride......then Brum have a chance of a slender victory!
  7. Great track ??? for stock cars maybe .... I was thinking the other day, if B'ham do close, I would look to get a speedway fix elsewhere, but I wouldn't want to watch speedway at Leicester week in week out...... Unfortunately, Wolverhampton doesn't float my boat either.....
  8. Sincere condolences to his family......much admiration and respect for Phil.
  9. I'd rather the club survive than win 'any' Cup match.... The reason I say it's poxy, is because it should be Redcar facing Edinburgh, not us!
  10. I don't see how that affects the 'opposition' ? it wouldn't put me off going if I was an away supporter.
  11. With the encouragement of kids etc....(a great thing for the future of the club....if there is one) also has a flip side (not trying to sound negative) If next week the attendance is sh#te and the Masons pull the plug....there's going to be a lot of disappointed kids...so I do hope that the management consider this and get us to the season's finishing line!
  12. And it wasn't already? (looking stupid...) British speedway lost its credibility some years ago...(IMO) Nobody is saying that it's acceptable....we are just sympathising with the 'management's' struggles etc....
  13. Yes I know....but this weeks money will help pay off some of the 'losses' so far this season.... (just guessing) We will probably try and swap the next 2 fixtures, so we face Poole and Redcar ? (better away attendances) As soon as the attendance falls below a certain level, it looks like we'll struggle to stay alive.... The club website says week by week survival ? Not much to enthuse about knowing that each Heat 15 could be the last?
  14. It's hardly B'ham promotion's fault if you're already down South ? you have taken a chance already, considering our British weather ? I do feel for you....but I feel far more for 'us' fans about to lose our club!
  15. EXACTLY! And let's face it... we're not stupid....the writing is definitely on the wall !
  16. They need the money ??? League match V Leicester or poxy cup match v Edinburgh ??? No brainer as far as income's concerned....
  17. I can sympathise with Edinburgh supporters who have had their planned visit to B'ham disrupted, but I sympathise far more with the B'ham fans who face losing their beloved Brummies once again..... The fixture switch is obviously essential to our existence.....but I can only think that it's another temporary stay of execution and might just be an opportunity to pay off some of the clubs accrued debts so far this season.....I totally understand and have empathy for the Masons.....they've done their best!
  18. I agree! May be an initial cash income injection is needed.....obviously a match v Leicester will bring in a bit more that a cup tie against Edinburgh. Personally, I don't think that the increased crowd levels will be enough to keep Peter/David at the club beyond this season...
  19. Totally agree with Woofers! It's called 'common sense'!
