  1. I'd rather the club survive than win 'any' Cup match.... The reason I say it's poxy, is because it should be Redcar facing Edinburgh, not us!
  2. I don't see how that affects the 'opposition' ? it wouldn't put me off going if I was an away supporter.
  3. With the encouragement of kids etc....(a great thing for the future of the club....if there is one) also has a flip side (not trying to sound negative) If next week the attendance is sh#te and the Masons pull the plug....there's going to be a lot of disappointed kids...so I do hope that the management consider this and get us to the season's finishing line!
  4. And it wasn't already? (looking stupid...) British speedway lost its credibility some years ago...(IMO) Nobody is saying that it's acceptable....we are just sympathising with the 'management's' struggles etc....
  5. Yes I know....but this weeks money will help pay off some of the 'losses' so far this season.... (just guessing) We will probably try and swap the next 2 fixtures, so we face Poole and Redcar ? (better away attendances) As soon as the attendance falls below a certain level, it looks like we'll struggle to stay alive.... The club website says week by week survival ? Not much to enthuse about knowing that each Heat 15 could be the last?
  6. It's hardly B'ham promotion's fault if you're already down South ? you have taken a chance already, considering our British weather ? I do feel for you....but I feel far more for 'us' fans about to lose our club!
  7. EXACTLY! And let's face it... we're not stupid....the writing is definitely on the wall !
  8. They need the money ??? League match V Leicester or poxy cup match v Edinburgh ??? No brainer as far as income's concerned....
  9. I can sympathise with Edinburgh supporters who have had their planned visit to B'ham disrupted, but I sympathise far more with the B'ham fans who face losing their beloved Brummies once again..... The fixture switch is obviously essential to our existence.....but I can only think that it's another temporary stay of execution and might just be an opportunity to pay off some of the clubs accrued debts so far this season.....I totally understand and have empathy for the Masons.....they've done their best!
  10. I agree! May be an initial cash income injection is needed.....obviously a match v Leicester will bring in a bit more that a cup tie against Edinburgh. Personally, I don't think that the increased crowd levels will be enough to keep Peter/David at the club beyond this season...
  11. Totally agree with Woofers! It's called 'common sense'!
  12. Riss ??? My fear is, he may be 'intentionally' lowering his average.....because if we do fold, he will be more versatile to other teams ? (just a thought) We all know that 'average' fixing goes on......
  13. Park on Holford Drive.....left turn at the lights 200 metres before the stadium...traffic is sh#te leading up to the One Stop!
  14. Exactly....I think the best we can hope for is a 'stay of execution' !?
  15. Good luck with the rush hour traffic between Jcnts 5 - 7 !
  16. I fancy a big B'ham win.....14 points! especially after the p#ss poor performance at Leicester. (Harris excepted...)
  17. Yes, but you don't hit the zone if you use the M6 Jct5 or Jct7.....
  18. Should be a fair bit quieter using my suggested route if you aim to get off the M6 around 6.30ish? Safe journey!
  19. I have a suggestion for the Brummie's management and they'll probably hate me for suggesting this.... But if a speedway fan is coming from a 'certain' distance (may be minimum 30 miles) then they should receive a free car park pass ? (just a thought/incentive?) As for best route: My advice would be to get off the M6 at junction 5 (if you're coming from the South) and follow the A452 for approx 4/5 miles (it's a fairly busy road, but usually keeps moving) eventually turning left on to A453, follow till near the stadium and turn left on to Holford Drive (park on this road). Stadium is 5 mins walk. All told...it's probably a 20 mins drive (in rush hour) from Jctn 5 M6.....then only 10 mins when going home
  20. Whatever he gets paid....he definitely earns it! Love Bomber!
