The only positive I can add to his signing is that he'll be riding on a decent track every week....Leicester is woeful....(before you say it...I know B'ham was worse but that's not my point)

Will people be able to afford to go

Going to a match will save having to put the heating on -
40-38, can you give JJ a pat on the back and say well done for trying to help a youngster get started in the sport...then we can move on to all things B'ham in this thread? JJ stop arguing...stop moaning....nobody gives two shinny sh#tes!
-
Perhaps it will be Gappmaier ? great signing if it is.
-
Makes me think that Gappmaier might be coming to B'ham ?
-
Proctor to Berwick....thankfully! May be we could have TJ now ?
-
I can see a few people changing their Championship predictions ?

Tuesday! ( I think...)

We'd have a good guest for them meetings...isn't that how speedway runs these days
-
If it wasn't for the Poole contingent on here, this thread would be non existent...hardly any B'ham fans make any comments? There doesn't seem to be many of us mate. Poor Lisa makes some interesting comments IMO and she seems to get pushed around quite a lot.... Bit mean IMO.

Apart from US/Poole/Plymouth/Oxford .....
-
Good race track though
-
Berwick were sh#te and were the poorest team that I saw last season.

No, but they're a useful tool when a second string has an off night . Strong Heat Leaders don't figure in Heats 2 and 8...... Not sure we've had much choice with team selection, so far as Heat Leaders go, but having strong reserves is a positive from experience. I'm sure most teams don't start with strong reserves as their priority and I bet we didn't either, it just is what it is and IMO it's not a weakness or a bad thing. I'm sure most speedway fans will have their own views on it.

Totally disagree with your relentless negative opinions/views about B'ham speedway. Why on earth would they go to all the trouble of the extensive track work if they wasn't confident of completing the season etc.... Time and time again we keep pointing out that 1000 break even figure??? ...it's merely a 'figure of speech' pardon the pun.... so, if we have 900 infants and 100 full paying adults = 1000 spectators...would that suffice? Course not..... We need as many fans as possible....neutrals/away fans included and some strong sponsorship! It's about time the '1000 attendance' was dropped! Lets see the final septet before we make judgement.....surely that makes sense...everyone at B'ham are happy with the first 4 signings!!!

How about Keith Chrisco ? one for the ladies.....
-
You sound very jealous
-
Speedway in the UK is so weak that it will always have to play second/third fiddle to Leagues abroad.....it will never change so far as fixed race nights go.
-
Nielsen and Morris starting at reserve for us....must be close to being the strongest reserve pairing in the Championship if they perform to their best.
-
You seem more bothered than us B'ham supporters
-
Real talent on a bike is rare....not sure why 'we' (UK) don't have much coming through....having all the money in the world wont make a good rider great.... Not many Michael Lee's, Bruce Penhall's, Darcy Ward's, about these days.....REAL TALENT !
-
Really? Not sure I'd agree with that. However, my point is that the scallywags on the stolen street bikes are pretty skilled riders and probably haven't got any funds/parental guidance etc etc....
-
Just a quick point on riders coming through? Nowadays, the reason that there aren't as many 'stars' for want of a better word, is because it's way too expensive.....you have to have a few quid to set a youngster up. A lot of natural talent probably don't get chance to have a go. Most probably, the best riders are ones that terrorise neighbourhoods on unlicensed death traps....

There's photos on Facebook

Why would we sign 'Verge' ? he's not good enough!
