Fixtures out...just need a team now Think we've waited patiently enough....give us something to discus/shout about?
-
Who is going to be your final piece in the jigsaw?
-
Unless its an unknown quantity from Poland, who is most likely going to be better than said riders already : )
-
Somebody mentioned Kildemand, but I'm not sure if he rides Danish still? Kildemand was one of, if not the most exciting riders to see at PB back when we were in the Prem.
-
May be Tom Bacon coming out of retirement? has Nick Agertoft progressed ? Nathan Stoneman as a Reserve? Can't think of any more
-
Something must be going on behind the scenes ? May be we'll be taking a chance on an unknown? But we definitely need 2 decent heat leaders....riders that can carry the middle order when they have off days. Otherwise even the most ardent/loyal fan will get fed up and lose interest. I'm keeping faith and respect Bossman's knowledge and experience. I personally wouldn't sign Proctor/Bates.....I'd only take Sedgemen as a last resort, but we'd need 2 better than him to complete the septet...IMO May be the club are waiting to see how many advanced tickets are sold before committing to contracts etc...? We are all just second guessing atm I suppose! It is what it is as they say!

Good debate about 3 young English riders...also keeping the B'ham forum topic alive
-
May I just add....I'd love nothing more than to see Danyon progress to the top...he's a smashing lad and rides fearlessly! I agree Danyon was definitely the pick of the 3 names mentioned, last season, but I do think that there were a few factors to that reason.
-
Wrong! Morris scored 8 + 2 in the first away meeting at Berwick! according to B'hams website stastistics Morris 4.41 and Shanes 4.57 away
-
It's my opinion that they're better riders...may be not 'far' better...but definitely better. May be Hume and Shanes are on par so far as control go, but Morris is ahead of both. Shanes is a much better rider out the 3 when chasing down an opponent.... I've had the privilege of seeing all 3 riders race from the centre green on a regular basis. Like I said, Morris and Shanes didn't have their best seasons last year....Shanes got injured and struggled....Morris was getting over a nasty injury from the year before. Let's see what this season brings, on a new, well prepared track. As for other clubs not wanting them? I can't answer that, nobody other than those involved know those reasons. I'm happy that Bham still have Morris/Shanes.

We just need 3 good signings to make us a good team
-
Hume and Shanes have the same average and Morris is 2 tenths less ? which makes your post not factual ? (LOL....not splitting hairs btw...) Shanes and Morris achieved this average riding on a very poor surface last season. I've studied all 3 riders close up over the last few seasons and I'll stand by my statement. (there's not much difference between the 3 of them, but I think Morris is, or has, the bigger potential and he's more controlled out of the 3...)
-
Morris and Shane's are far better than Hume...imo Morris definitely is....
-
We don't know our last 3 signings yet ?
-
May be after he left B'ham his bikes were woeful when he rode for us
-
Morris and Shanes are too good to be reserves

2022 championship predictions
GiveusaB replied to Jaizer's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Drew Kemp has bags of talent.....it's a confidence sport ! -
I can see where you're coming from with that comparison. JPB had massive potential as 15/16 year old...not sure he's fulfilled that...such is life and consequences of choices made. I think, if he can obtain decent equipment and knuckle down, he wont be far off in the reserves race.
-
Just wondering whether JPB might be one of our reserves?
-
Lets see who our last 3 signings are before we start to get the violins out ? LOL
-
Must be a great inspiration to have Crump in the pits in whatever capacity....great move by Oxford...they seem to be ticking all the boxes so far as set up goes! You have Crump and Nicholls .... we have Rogers and Auty My only disappointment is that race night is a Wednesday ? not the best night IMO.
-
I suggested him a couple of months ago, but got shot down by one of the 'know everything posters' on here ! Apparently he doesn't want to ride in England....not sure why though? probably coz the standard is poor, for want of a better word?
-
No chance!

What's the difference between PL and CL these days ?
-
More of a wish than a statement on my part...I'd settle for Covatti!
