Do we know the FULL consortium? Sounds like a consortium of 'hopefuls/fans' may be doing it for the passion of the club, but totally out of their depth ? I think we're in a bit of trouble....I obviously hope I'm wrong!

If LR doesn't sign at least 2 decent riders to complete the team, then I'd say the opposite and quote that he 'isn't' very good at spending other peoples money?

P.s I might consider going to that ONE meeting if he did sign him? LOL

Rubbish! Why 'state' that Morris and Nielsen will start as reserves, if you hadn't already signed 3 riders with higher averages then ?

I don't feel any sympathy at all....LR knew what position we'd be in when the decision was announced to carry on!? It's the fans I feel for (if things go ** up?) built up to be let down!? But let's see what materialises first!

Not sure why the 'big-gap' ? There are riders (Ellis/Gappmaier...to name but two) its just seems that we can't afford them?

More riders? More riders than the ones mentioned a couple of weeks ago? or more riders as opposed to the 4 already signed ? If he's had to change his options/search, then I'm a bit concerned for our future. I can understand him not saying who....so we just have to accept he's trying and that's that! Laurence knows more than anybody that people won't attend if he serves up 'sh#te' ! The closing part of the statement worries me? Josh Auty vows to give his all ??? hope that's not a hint at him being our No.1 ??? I'd class myself as a die-hard....not a 'die-at all costs' !

It's certainly not a Midlands attraction....we've had this debate before....we can't compete with football (even though all our teams are sh#te...) and the new cricket format... 20/20 is far more exciting than an average speedway meeting these days....even darts is more watchable than speedway (IMO) Whilst some sports have progressed, speedway has reversed so far as entertainment value goes! Even Belle Vue are struggling and they have one of the best set-ups in the world of speedway! WE desperately need ex Cov/Cradley fans to attend and the only way they're going to do that is if there are decent riders and decent racing on show? (may be...) When B'ham closed, I went to Cov/wolves for a speedway fix!

Quite right about the fuel prices etc.... But so far as the team goes, I think LR knows this and will put a competitive team together....I'm keeping the faith! We can't criticize, until there's something there to judge?

Just stating a fact! Perry Barr and most of its surrounding areas are sh#t holes..... Regeneration my a#se! (in the words of Jim Royle....) I hate the place! As for the comment that B'ham has always rode in this area? It used to be ok in the 80's...... but, I'm afraid its been on the decline since the the turn of the century.

I don't think our 'location' helps....proper sh#t hole of an area! (as was the 'Wheels project'!!)

I have no doubt the club/management will be doing all they can to get things over the line.... Seeing/hearing about all the work that's going on with the track/stadium is inspiring.

Sure... I think an update from the club would be helpful and encouraging. As for Permits etc, surely this should've been activated as soon as they decided to kick on last November?

Not sure what 'LR's' angle/intention is so far as team completion goes? I suppose he doesn't want to keep repeating that we are close etc.... Silence is only positive in 'negative' situations IMO.

Good point about Gappmaier so far as Berwick are concerned........there is definitely something holding him back from committing to the Championship this season? Like you, I dont think B'ham will get his signature anytime soon....

Plus Ellis wages would be too high no doubt...after all he is the British Champion which you'd have thought gives him more of a salary status? I think from a PR perspective 'LR' needs to update the fans on the situation....whose going to buy a season ticket under the current circumstances? How can 'B'ham' advertise/market their season based on half a team? You'd think a new business venture would want to spread the word and do all they can to convince 'old/lost' fans to return ??? Let's face it, there's not going to be many new fans these days. Feeling a bit under whelmed atm......

Think we'd be title contenders if we signed your first 3 suggestions ? The weight (pardon the pun) will get heavier on the Boss's shoulders., the longer this saga goes on !

Disagree! They get far more fans than a speedway meeting! As for the 'alcohol' consumption? It shows British mentality really.... It's clever promotion by the 'Hearns' !

Darts premier league is so much more entertaining than speedway and its nice and warm and the drinks are cheaper
