  1. Stewart's crash at Brum was innocuous in so much as it happened on the back straight if I remember rightly.... A bit of coming together/running out of room, with another rider....can't remember who?
  2. Good shouts....I too would chance my arm with Kelleher....but now that I know his official average, we know its not going to be him.....(from Rogers statement about Nielsen/Morris as reserves) I'd prefer to watch Kelleher than Bates.....
  3. Gappmaier has to be a dead cert....? One of them will be a foreign big hitter who probably hasn't rode over here for a while/never before? Can't think of the third rider, but he will have to have an average higher than Morris/Nielsen. (4.52) may be Keleher 4.87 ? Not sure if I've got the averages right ?
  4. Bjarne and Rory mentioned in the same sentence as Collins/Loram/Briggs ??? dont make me laugh! Its not the retired riders that are being missed...it's the current crop of world stars that wont ride in this country, thanks to Polish domination.
  5. Fair point about the scoring observation. Only problem is, it would need his team mate to win the races that 'he' scored 0 points in, to be prevent the opposition taking a Heat advantage? I think?
  6. Can it be someone other than Bjarne please...just in case he does decide to have a spin again ?
  7. One has to ask, is that because of the rider or the state of speedway tracks these days? I think someone pointed out yesterday on this forum that a high percentage of tracks are very slick ....... "if you miss the gate you haven't got a chance" ? The home riders generally know what set-up to use.
  8. Not sure about 'pay'? but definitely 'play' !
  9. I can't see us bettering Harris with a new number 1, or having one of the best prospects (Flint) in the country in middle order....but I do hope that Rogers can give us something to cheer about with our final 3 signings...... Berwick's final 7 seem way behind Glasgow, Poole/Edinburgh/Plymouth/Leicester/Oxford(possibly)......
  10. Oh well, we haven't signed him yet and I dont know if we will? I'd be prepared to give him a go based on how well he goes at B'ham, when I've seen him.
  11. I'd much rather have Gappmaier than Proctor and according to this forum, so would most Berwick posters.... Woeful may be harsh, but I use the term woeful, not to describe the rider, but to describe the signing based on what Berwick had to play with
  12. Oh dear...don't like the sound of that? Is he gate 'n' go type of rider ? Is Berwick a slick track then ? (apart from Glasgow/Edinburgh its the only track I've never been to)
  13. Never seen the word 'IF' used so much to describe a speedway rider ! He's a woeful signing....think I'd have saved 'Harris' as the last reveal !
  14. The only positive I can add to his signing is that he'll be riding on a decent track every week....Leicester is woeful....(before you say it...I know B'ham was worse but that's not my point)
  15. Going to a match will save having to put the heating on
  16. 40-38, can you give JJ a pat on the back and say well done for trying to help a youngster get started in the sport...then we can move on to all things B'ham in this thread? JJ stop arguing...stop moaning....nobody gives two shinny sh#tes!
  17. Perhaps it will be Gappmaier ? great signing if it is.
  18. Makes me think that Gappmaier might be coming to B'ham ?
  19. Proctor to Berwick....thankfully! May be we could have TJ now ?
  20. I can see a few people changing their Championship predictions ?
  21. We'd have a good guest for them meetings...isn't that how speedway runs these days
  22. If it wasn't for the Poole contingent on here, this thread would be non existent...hardly any B'ham fans make any comments? There doesn't seem to be many of us mate. Poor Lisa makes some interesting comments IMO and she seems to get pushed around quite a lot.... Bit mean IMO.
