Well the demo last week took place after the main parade (which i would've assumed started at 7.30pm?) I didn't check my watch at the time, but it was there or there about ?
-
P.s and forget about 'Demo' riding before the meeting....waste of time and hardly anyone is interested. Crack on with the match. If there's to be any demo's as such, do it during the 10/15 minute interval, providing the meeting is running smoothly. While I'm on the subject....the parade is lack lustre and boring IMO. Announce the 2 number 1's and let them do a lap and so on.....(straight from the pits etc.....) Just my opinions of course....
-
Just an observation ? even if another ambulance had arrived within an hour or so, the meeting may still NOT have finished due to the 10pm curfew ? So, B'ham would have incurred the extra cost and most likely still NOT have finished the meeting. Get 2 Paramedics and 2 Ambulances in place from the start....
-
Not sure I've read any posts that want B'ham closed ? just an overwhelming opinion that ALL fans at the Berwick meeting should receive a TOTAL refund in order for the current B'ham promotion to hold on to their integrity ? (may be?....this is just my interpretation...)
-
We know and accept that nothing could be done on the night....what we are now interested in, is what will be in place at the next HOME meeting to avoid the possibility of the same occurrence? 'What are the 'many' solutions being worked on ? (last sentence of news bulletin...) If funds are needed to cover extra medical attention, let's get a monthly lottery draw going, as mentioned in previous posts? (not sure how feasible this is, but at least it's a positive suggestion?) All the above post is doing, is trying to justify why we haven't been refunded....unless I'm missing something?
-
Next home meeting v Scunthorpe Weds 4th MAY.... first question....is the Medical cover more comprehensive than at the last meeting ? If the answer is no.....then I know at least half a dozen other supporters (including myself) that won't be making the effort to attend. Reason for making this 'post/announcement', is that I want the Club to get it right.... I accept there was nothing that could be done against Berwick....I accept (reluctantly) that I have forfeited £20 from the 2 entrance tickets that I bought (I will be donating the £16 refund to the Josh Auty fund page set up by the club...) but......the Club NEED to employ 2 Paramedics and 2 ambulances from now on IMO.
-
I've been banned many times from the Club Forum for having a 'negative' opinion ....you have to wear Red/Yellow glasses (not Leicester ones.....LOL) to make any comments on there.

OK 48 hours on.... I usually stop throwing my toys after 24 hours ...apologies its taken longer Moving forward.... Wednesday happened due to the club's short sightedness..... maybe? Surely, something will have to be in place for the next meeting to avoid this happening again ? I'm happy to contribute to a monthly 'fans lottery' (as mentioned in a previous post by Bandits4eva) somebody from B'ham speedway needs to get this scheme set up. I'm happy to forfeit my entrance fee from Wednesday, but I wont be attending again unless something is in place for future meetings. I hope this reads as a fair and balanced view..... Hope I'm forgiven for spitting my dummy out! More importantly.....Best Wishes to Josh for a full recovery ASAP!

Rubbish! No hatred at all..... I've been attending bham speedway since the opening in 1971... 39 all draw with Long Eaton ...I can post the programme to prove (in the loft) work it out... 51years... I will not attend again unless i receive a full refund for last night's incompetence! I'll challenge anyone who says that i deserve different! ?
-
Good points made... I also got the impression from the Press Release on main website that LR tried to justify the £10 entrance fee, by saying that the 2 Heats that were completed, were both great races with passing in both..... JOKE! Like you say....B'ham should do the decent thing to all that attended and offer 'FREE' entrance to any future meeting and unless they do this, I wont be parting with any of my hard earned cash at PB again! May be I'm over reacting, may be I'm still feeling hard done by, surely it could have been avoided by the club.... I would put any money on things being different at the next meeting......
-
Question ? Are we the only Championship side with one ambulance at meetings? What is the cost to have another one present ?
-
Spot on!
-
I'm old school....it used to be 'free' entrance to another meeting if the match was abandoned before HEAT 6 Great win for Poole last night btw..... P.s and it would have been James Shanes that stopped 'Bomber' from getting a 'max' last night who'd have thought that.....Bomber was so slow from the gate in Heat 1! (slower than usual )
-
Not good enough IMO! Berwick fans should definitely be totally refunded and compensated for travel costs. What about Season ticket holders? I'm guessing they don't have to pay an extra £10....which is the difference between entrance fee and £8 discount off future match?
-
Are we not allowed to use the ticket from last night to gain entry to another meeting of our choice, or the re-scheduled fixture?
-
It's not about 'luck', it's about preparation! I'm still annoyed from last night's outcome....It will now be a case of have we got 2 ambulances present, as opposed to 7 riders !
-
Heard that we have a silent investor as part of the consortium? Is their name Billy Smart?
-
The way I'm feeling, I think u might be right. I took someone along for their very first meeting too.... really disappointed.... my fault last week coz of my ignorance to the weather, but I totally blame bham this week for not having sufficient medical cover.

Or Shanes
