True...
-
Well...I'm guessing its because apart from him, nobody on the consortium have ever had any involvement in speedway management/promotion? So he should've known better !
-
Rogers must go! Disgrace!
-
Right....like home fans full price and away fans half price ? Not to mention the bullsh#t signing of Ellis! I wont be attending whilst Rogers is leading the show!
-
Looking forward to Speedway Fan and Wow68 to come on here and try and defend this utter garbage coming out of PB? Wow68....message to you....you had the cheek to slate me two weeks ago after I criticised management tactics v Scunthorpe....hope to read your thoughts about current situation ?
-
I wouldnt walk through Witton in daylight....let alone midnight!
-
Whole new meaning on the word 'Lent' ?!
-
Yes....think his name was the 'cinder swindler' !
-
Did somebody say Ellis isn't in the wrong? Hasn't he posted his fixtures for May, which includes bham meetings?
-
They'll be letting home fans in for £10 before the season ends....if they get there.
-
Away season ticket holders and cov/Cradley fans ... you can come in for £10....loyal bham fans, u can pay £18, oh and BTW, we only signed your number one rider for 2 months and we've signed a 2nd string rider to replace him!
-
Club must've told Adam to keep his gob shut!
-
Conned!
-
Wouldn't they? Surely there are some honest promotions out there? However, I do accept that honesty is thin on the ground in todays society!
-
Wish he'd of stated that when he did his PR bit when signing on ? he's done nothing wrong officially, but I'd question his morals (along with the new promotion/management)...IF true ?
-
Again....the big 'IF'.... if its true, the most serious sanction that the promotion will face, is the 'loyal' fans not being taken for fools and they wont turn up ! Seems that the general census about Laurence Rogers could be about to ring true! (or is that a bit harsh ?....) Its alright saying that he's worked hard etc etc etc....but he will have undone all his hard work, by misleading/lying to the Birmingham faithful (and he's not alone....there is a 'big' click of supposedly know it all''s at Perry Barr and it wouldn't surprise me if they ALL knew about Ellis !)
-
Seriously....if the Ellis rumours are true....I know a fair few Bham fans that wont be bothering anymore... If you think last season was a struggle, then this one is just about to get a whole lot harder by looks of things. Such a shame after all the hard work on the track.....
-
Trying to think of something positive to come from all of this ? errrrrrr......the weather forecast looks OK for Wednesday ?
-
Press release from B'ham this afternoon according to one of the new owners (on club forum).
-
Not my job to make appropriate appointments....I'm a chemistry research technician with just an opinion, as stated in my post. If I owned a business, then I would appoint a manager that made the business successful. Bham made a great start by improving the track and then conned the fans with a team under false pretences (if the Ellis rumour is true...) That's sh#te management imo!
-
Personally, I think the new consortium would do well to get rid of Rogers and get someone with with a hit of credential in... just my opinion.... its going ** up from where I'm sitting?
-
Cmon bham get a grip... my suggestion wud be to get a proper manager who knows how to run the show... its getting embarrassing!
-
Desperation! Loyal supporters pay full price and Cov/Cradley fans get reduced entrance? Is that right?
-
Just a reminder of the announcement by B'ham main website when Adam was signed. It clearly says he's joined for the 'Season'! Management are quick to jump on here when something negative is said.... Just wondering why they're not as quick to 'quash' these rumours , unless they're true? P.s it also states that to bring him to B'ham is big big news....well, to lose him after such a short time under false pretences would be even bigger news !

BIRMINGHAM have pulled off the signing of reigning British Champion Adam Ellis. The 26-year-old, who won the National League with the club in 2015, has agreed to join the Curtis Sport Brummies and completes their side for the coming season. However, due to a prior league commitment in France this weekend, Birmingham have named Ben Morley as a member of their team for Saturday's (March 26, 7pm) Knockout Cup clash at Leicester. But after weeks of negotiations, team boss Laurence Rogers is thrilled and relieved to finally get his man.Said Rogers: "It really is amazing news for the club.“Adam was always on our list of potentials but we had to wait for a few things to fall into place.“We hit a few pitfalls along the way and we’ve had to be patient with one or two things, but he’s a Brummie again and that’s all that matters.“He’s a top quality rider at this level and to bring the British Champion to Birmingham is big, big news.”
