  1. Just a reminder of the announcement by B'ham main website when Adam was signed. It clearly says he's joined for the 'Season'! Management are quick to jump on here when something negative is said.... Just wondering why they're not as quick to 'quash' these rumours , unless they're true? P.s it also states that to bring him to B'ham is big big news....well, to lose him after such a short time under false pretences would be even bigger news !
  2. BIRMINGHAM have pulled off the signing of reigning British Champion Adam Ellis. The 26-year-old, who won the National League with the club in 2015, has agreed to join the Curtis Sport Brummies and completes their side for the coming season. However, due to a prior league commitment in France this weekend, Birmingham have named Ben Morley as a member of their team for Saturday's (March 26, 7pm) Knockout Cup clash at Leicester. But after weeks of negotiations, team boss Laurence Rogers is thrilled and relieved to finally get his man.Said Rogers: "It really is amazing news for the club.“Adam was always on our list of potentials but we had to wait for a few things to fall into place.“We hit a few pitfalls along the way and we’ve had to be patient with one or two things, but he’s a Brummie again and that’s all that matters.“He’s a top quality rider at this level and to bring the British Champion to Birmingham is big, big news.”
  3. Still waiting for bham to confirm about Ellis? But what you're saying is spot on. It's a bloody joke!
  4. I think the clubs will lose out when the fans stop going!
  5. They won't be getting my money whilst he's running the show, if the rumours are true. Bunch of cowboys!
  6. Perhaps we had to let him go so we could use the money on a 2nd paramedic! The Club are taking their time to come up with an excuse? (if the rumour is true?)
  7. Birmingham fans wasn't told this when he signed?
  8. If its true....then Season tickets will have been bought under false premises? I don't want to jump the gun, so will wait for Speedway Fan/WOW68 to fill us in !!
  9. I think sending Harris in a mentor capacity is beneficial....but let the youngsters do the racing and gain the experience.
  10. I didn't say or specify by what an available criteria should be ? To clarify....I would expect a new signing to have a similar average and a similar contract/terms etc.... I wouldn't expect a club to have to cough up extra money etc....just like for like IF available.
  11. Hopefully not ! We have only used one once out of the 3 available meetings? not that I'm too bothered either way. I think we may have done what was most cost effective to the Club, as opposed to what effect it would have on the meeting outcome.
  12. Plymouth can always have Ablitt when Poole give him the push ? What about 'Keleher' ? If there are available riders to sign .... then I don't think guests should be permitted.
  13. Trouble is....I think nearly all of speedway referees have never rode a speedway bike and they haven't got a scooby about what's dangerous and what isn't? They nearly always act on what 'the loudest shout' is from either, or both clubs.... The main criteria to becoming a speedway ref is...... to be willing to travel the length and breadth of the country any day, any time, for basically p#ss all !
  14. Going to be difficult for Newcastle to attract a new No.1, if the track isn't fit for purpose? I feel for the passionate/loyal fans/supporters of the club....especially after working so hard to stay in existence.
  15. Ha ha... I'm guessing ur LR in disguise... 1.Yes...I've ridden and owned a speedway bike. (Not sure wot that's got to do with any of my posts tho?) And 2. I helped at the track week in week out all through the Masons reign! I'm sorry that you think most of my posts are negative....your deluded if you think anyone gives two shinny sh#tes what I post! I think I've been supportive of the club... I'm not alone with some of the points I make about tactics etc.... P.s I avent once criticised Pearson...I think he's going to be great...but as soon as he's accomplished, he'll be off, after all, riding under your instruction is only going to hold him back!
  16. Exactly...like last season! (not from the respective fixture mind....) we've improved...Scunthorpe battered us last year at PB!
  17. Just me and my eagerness....I realise that a 2-1 points result, would be in favour of the away team if the meeting was drawn ... God knows why they complicate things
  18. Not great, unless there was more than usual 'inside' ? Put it this way, there certainly wasn't an increase from the last meeting.(Berwick)
  19. Sorry...got lost in transit...I meant we nearly gifted Scunthorpe a point
  20. We were in danger of handing Scunthorpe a point. 'Just' winning isn't the point! (pardon the pun) Don't cheer, but I'll shut up now.... I've made my point and no doubt it will happen again and again and may be again, throughout the season, until we employ a proper speedway manager! (no offence intended towards LR at all....)
  21. We lost out to Scunthorpe by one point last season ? (Play - offs)
