The sport would be far worse off if there was no 'Poole' speedway! The title of the topic may be better worded if it read 'Why are a lot of forum members envious of Poole Speedway' ? Personally, I don't do 'Envy'!

Just a suggestion.... Cut teams to 6 riders (main body) plus 2 reserves from NDL. 15 Heats....top 6 have 4 rides. 2 reserves have 3 rides each.... Total 15 Heats. Position the reserve races at Heat 4, 8,12....

It's going to be tough without a guest for CV....but it might just gel the rest of the guys and up their team spirit and all that. I think the lads can score what CV would've scored had he rode! All we can ask is that they give it their all.... Hope CV feels better asap!

You are totally right with your observations. B'ham need to replace the manager, let him stay on and help organise the track (soon see if he's still as keen to be involved...) But, to read that home fans were leaving around Heat10 last night is very worrying. I think fans have lost respect/belief whilst Rogers is running the show. Nice guy or not...it's not what's going to bring in the necessary fans/numbers.

Brennan's heat 13 win, the only highlight of a p#ss poor performance by Rogers men! Tactical ineptness yet again by the manager....not that it would have made much difference. Bottom line.... Poole are strong and Birmingham are woefully weak ! We are obviously operating on a budget, I totally understand this, but unfortunately, coupled with mis-management, it will be our demise!

I can list a few, but how do I know their availability? And I avent bad mouthed anyone! (Well, May be the manager...but Ellis-gate is in the past)

Nobody is questioning Brennans talent, but is he the strongest option available? Yes, he's better than Auty, all day long, but we're facing the strongest team in the league and with Vissing barely scoring half his average, we need all the help we can get from available options. No Shanes doesn't help! It's the managers selections we're disappointed with...not Brennan himself!

Brennan is fair around PB...he would average 7 comfortably against weaker opposition...but I can't see him beating Poole's top 3? The biggest weak link for us is 'Vissing' at no.1....he wont beat any of Poole's heat leaders either! If Morris is on his game and can stay on for 4 laps, then he might come up with a decent score...but it will be to little effect.
