  1. The longer the final signing drags on, the bigger the anti-climax when it's announced
  2. I had a look in to this and I think he rode for Edinburgh in 2018 ? how time flies.... Won the USA national title as recently as 2021....he's only 25 years old!
  3. After last seasons balls-up with Ellis, anything can happen! I have no expectations and will simply attend as many meetings as possible regardless of who's riding, just to get a speedway fix! You only have to look at what happened with Kennett at Plymouth last season, to realise that there's a lot of 'fixing' in speedway, I'm too long in the tooth to take it seriously as a sport of integrity!
  4. Harris for me and I think Pickering will soon be up there!
  5. Agree about B'ham's poor looking team...but if Bowtell can't compete in the main body of Championship side by now, then I doubt he ever will be able to ?
  6. Could be a case of see what develops between USA and ROW meeting/s ?
  7. B'ham's Team Manager going to America for the USA v ROW meeting ? Can only point to one hit single by Dexy's Midnight Runners ?
  8. Personally, I don't think any of the B'ham team will 'up' their starting average....that's just my opinion and not a criticism. More than happy to be proved wrong!
  9. Oxford have a very good top 3 (championship level), they will get murdered at reserve!
  10. I think it's a short sighted move, especially with the team average being lowered! I think its a deal that suits the rider more than the club. It's done now and all club supporters can do is get on with it.
  11. Had bags of potential and solid backing...but seems to have wasted it? You've either got it, or you haven't and he looks like he hasn't ? One natural quality he did have (from memory) is : He was a very good gater! (something that you can't teach...well, to a point!)
  12. Apologies...I wasn't insinuating that you were being disrespectful...I actually thought that you might be being serious (after all, Tom made an appearance last season v Big Al's Memorial) I think you may be right with 'Gino'? I don't think there can be too much criticism whoever it is....(it's only a reserve...no expectations and all that) The damage is/was done signing Morris on a 10 plus average! IMO
  13. Love Tom, but I'm hoping your suggestion is said in jest !
  14. No Tate Zische till June..... And Plan B is ????
  15. A great 'Ego' feeding topic by looks of it
  16. Need to add Camarthen and Bristol... Instead of naming 'amount' of tracks.....what about naming 'favourite' track and why ? I loved Halifax for the banked bends and as a kid, I loved the Old Belle Vue for the fairground Crewe was great, simply because you could get so close to the track.....(no such thing as H&S back in them days)
  17. As well as all the British tracks mentioned... I can add Barrow-Long Eaton-Crewe-Sunderland-Coatbridge-Weymouth-Boston- in to the mix... only been to Warsaw abroad.
  18. Battered chips at the Chippy near Monmore Green were the best imo... avent been for a few years...apologies, just realised the topic states Championship food? On that note... I can only confirm that bham food is rubbishe!
  19. You could....but I don't think any of us will be !
