  1. I can't imagine/believe that the racing is better at Leicester ? But what is better, is the spectator viewing area/s!
  2. Well....to be polite...I wouldn't want to live there...but I guess, it's more to do with the traffic, which becomes even more unbearable when Villa play at home. The area is run down and also, my journey involves going through a couple of other undesirable areas.
  3. I think the 21 year gap that OGT pointed out, has had the biggest impact.... Also, the stadium isn't great for watching speedway (IMO) and the location is a nightmare at times..... I dread travelling to the area.
  4. Quite right....Football/Cricket puts a dent in any possibility of new fans.... The only way I can see an increase in attendances, is if 'we' merged with Coventry/Cradley and were re-named to suit.... Signing Nick Morris will not put any 'new' bums on seats, or entice any stay away fans....that's not me whinging, or sounding ungrateful...it's a fact! I don't think the promotion have learnt much about Team management/ building during their first season.... LR needs to step down as TM....great guy....but ???
  5. I think there has to be some truth in your post....tax off-set etc....
  6. I think that will be difficult unless supporters become Buddhists overnight ! Whinging is an egoic mind state of modern society...very hard to control...no chance of ever stopping!!!
  7. If the promotion/s don't want us to discuss finances etc....then may be they shouldn't keep telling us how much it costs to run a speedway club? They have decided to put their money in, so just get on with it! Sometimes a 'negative' post/comment from a supporter/fan, isn't aimed at putting the sport down, it's sometimes 'advice/criticism' to try and change things for the better/longevity of the sport? I guess that's the whole point of forums/discussion boards etc.....
  8. Or may be he was thinking about his average for 2023 ?
  9. I'll be surprised if the last 2 signings are not Complin and Bowtell. We will struggle away, but should hold our own at home. We wont finish bottom....looking at Berwick/Scunthorpe/Oxford
  10. Good shout....but I heard that he didn't want to ride over here (last season...)
  11. I don't mind Bowtell...it's Proctor that I wouldn't sign!
  12. Dan Thomson has to be firm favourite to sign for Poole ?
  13. Agreed for away meetings..... However, (at home...) Sedgemen will win if he gates....Wright goes well at PB...and if we sign Complin, I think he will win most reserve races. Nielsen can beat most opposite Heat Leaders (few exceptions...) We've still got 2 more signings to come....Bowtell is strong round PB.
  14. Quite right ... either that, or I need to stay behind and get extra Maths tuition Thank you for enlightening me...I feel so much better knowing Complin will fit...big difference!
  15. If rumours are true (Gating Tart ) Bowtell will be signing (ave 4.28) That would leave 3.62 to complete the line-up... Can think of only 4 riders fitting this average...Smith/Bickley/Roynon/Sarjeant.... ????
  16. Bowtell has signed for Plymouth apparently ? What about Ellis on 7.13 ?
  17. Adam Ellis @ 7.13 (rounded up ) must be a serious contender for a Team spot at some club (may be Poole?)
  18. Col....you might want to knock that down to 25 ?
