  1. What's the odds on Paco guesting on Wednesday in place of Wright ?
  2. Wasn't sure how long the 'recovery' period was ? I'm guessing it must be 2 weeks ?
  3. Can I be sarcastic and ask what makes you think that ? I'm hoping for D.T to make his debut and get Zach Cook in for James Wright and we might be able to make a fist of it ?
  4. I think you've been drinking too much Holy water !
  5. It's your 1-7 that I'd be more concerned with...you might even finish below us !
  6. Totally agree! If he gated, he was un-catchable! But I don't think I ever saw him go passed anyone? LOL
  7. Totally agree! Greg Hancock from the modern era for me! Back in the 80's at Brum (Finn Jensen) ?
  8. I love Paco's enthusiasm and charisma...'typical' Italian ! He would be a perfect replacement for Nielsen (long term...)
  9. Who's wondering ??? Yes, you're quite right about explaining rules etc....(or trying....) But, I don't think a newcomer will give a monkey's about rules/regs, if they haven't seen, or been to a meeting before, then one would assume that they'll revel in the speed/skill of the riders? As for Wright? I agree, not being on the pace isn't a valid reason for not being fit, but it is definitely a worthy excuse...he could be suffering...we are going to be desperate Friday and next Wednesday, so it would make sense to use the rules to some advantage.....a guest for Wright and R/R for D.T is the only option unless we sign a 'quality' replacement for Wright? Not sure who's out there apart from Mathew Whethers. or Drew Kemp ? I've been critical of the Managers signings/tactics, but He definitely knows the rules/regs and I'm hoping he'll come up with something......
  10. They will use a guest for Wright and R/R for Dan....(unless Wright has made a miraculous recovery from his last showing....)
  11. Correct...but we can have a guest for James Wright whom is no where near fit/on pace.
  12. So, D.T out for our next 2 matches...guessing no guest facility as he hasn't rode for us yet ? Therefore....suggest we use a guest for James Wright and R/R for D.T.
  13. I actually agree.....But, it just shows how desperate we are!
  14. Dan will be a permanent signing if he can hit 6/7 points a meeting... imo
  15. Itsno surprise! He should've been signed before start of season.
  16. BIRMINGHAM Speedway Directors have been made aware of a published schedule regarding greyhound meetings at Perry Barr in 2024.Club bosses will be meeting with a representative of the greyhound company next month and will be making no further comment at this moment in time
  17. All this talk of what day etc is pointless/meaningless until we know the facts ? If we're going to get a choice of a new race day, then that's a whole different 'topic'... Besides, we've got to get through this season first !
  18. Good post match message from Nigel Tolley on Birmingham's website. Not burying his head. Great to hear more shale going down on the track, should give a bit more to the riders if/when they miss the gate. Getting Rogers some help/guidance would be a logical start from a 'business' perspective. Not sure how much we have to play with...? But Dan Thompson would seem to be a great acquisition in place of Nielsen if that's possible? (before somebody else nabs him.....I'm aware of the current average difference) I think James Wright should be a lot stronger by the time our next home meeting comes round.....(fingers crossed...)
  19. He's a 'year' stronger and he's riding in a better 'speedway' environment by looks of it. I think its a travesty that an English club didn't sign him....
  20. If that is/was the case, then I'd say the person/management that didn't re-sign him are the ones with the problem? if he wants to act like a moody teenager, then let him....what's the problem with that ? 'Ability' scores the points...not the personality! However, Poole don't seem to be missing him.
