  1. Exactly! That's why I said...Poor showing by the Club!
  2. I think the difference here re: early/weather call off's, is that Oxford can afford to get it wrong (atm), whereas Bh'am and other struggling clubs can't! Poor showing by the Club IMO! Probably had 'meeting sponsors' to accommodate etc.....
  3. Sounds more like a 'topic' about you, as opposed to the Oxford programme ?
  4. What was I drinking on Saturday night ???
  5. Same old GB... Boris Becker once said, the difference between the English and the Germans is...Germans were scared of losing, but the Brits are scared winning... work it out fir yourself!' Useless!
  6. Ha ha... hold on to your lock nuts... red and yellow Will be the ribbons on the cup... up yours Pirates!
  7. I think a stint at reserve will be the make/break of his season? unfortunately Paul doesn't seem to be his usual self atm. We only have 4 home meetings left anyway, so I cant see any change coming.
  8. I was 20... But I also remember reading Sam's autobiography and it details it in there! LEGEND!
  9. The fact is...he's banned from riding.....that doesn't happen unless you're guilty of a misdemeanour! In the history of the sport, has there been any rider that's received a ban and then had it over turned due to proving their innocence?
  10. Well he's had plenty of time to conjure up some 'bull-sh#t' excuse!
  11. We've gone over this many times and we came to the conclusion that the local community are predominently Asian and are not interested in speedway and as for the rest of the not so local community, they prefer football/cricket ! (Aston Villa/B'ham City/WBA/WCC)
  12. I can see your point and I actually said at the time that I thought it was the wrong move.... However, I can see why the T/S was played early as we needed to try and stop the mauling asap! I think that a T/S and a Res/R are more critical when you have an actual chance of getting something out of the meeting..... As already pointed out....the meeting was effectively a non contest after 3 heats! Only highlight from a B'ham perspective was the continued improvement of Sam Hagon and Nielsen beating the Cooks in Heat 10!! I thought Troy worked hard and although he's obviously passed his best, he is a clever rider (shown when sorting Rowe out in Heat 5)
  13. Agree about the score..... Disagree about the small crowd? I thought it was well attended.....well, it was compared to all our previous meetings!? The track was very slick and the racing was 'dour'! I can see why Plymouth released Starke!?
