  1. Itsno surprise! He should've been signed before start of season.
  2. BIRMINGHAM Speedway Directors have been made aware of a published schedule regarding greyhound meetings at Perry Barr in 2024.Club bosses will be meeting with a representative of the greyhound company next month and will be making no further comment at this moment in time
  3. All this talk of what day etc is pointless/meaningless until we know the facts ? If we're going to get a choice of a new race day, then that's a whole different 'topic'... Besides, we've got to get through this season first !
  4. Good post match message from Nigel Tolley on Birmingham's website. Not burying his head. Great to hear more shale going down on the track, should give a bit more to the riders if/when they miss the gate. Getting Rogers some help/guidance would be a logical start from a 'business' perspective. Not sure how much we have to play with...? But Dan Thompson would seem to be a great acquisition in place of Nielsen if that's possible? (before somebody else nabs him.....I'm aware of the current average difference) I think James Wright should be a lot stronger by the time our next home meeting comes round.....(fingers crossed...)
  5. He's a 'year' stronger and he's riding in a better 'speedway' environment by looks of it. I think its a travesty that an English club didn't sign him....
  6. If that is/was the case, then I'd say the person/management that didn't re-sign him are the ones with the problem? if he wants to act like a moody teenager, then let him....what's the problem with that ? 'Ability' scores the points...not the personality! However, Poole don't seem to be missing him.
  7. May be Morris over Clegg then? Who knows....Clegg might get going...he's a few months behind everyone else.
  8. Maybe Ashley Morris would have been a better choice than Clegg....could've kept J.T then ? I thought our manager dropped the biggest clangers...but ....... One consolation ? you will still beat us
  9. No, his team selection/signings and match tactics take care of that!
  10. The first person that should be sacked is the manager, before we lose all the fans! Even Brian Buck can't cover him after last night's debacle!
  11. Especially when the 2nd heat leader hasn't managed double figures at home yer and has won only 2 races from 4 meetings. Crap!
  12. Could you make that three....(Nielsen/Wright and Rogers)....now that will make a massive difference!
  13. Yes, but we gained .73 when we signed Joe Thompson and we still had .22 in the bank from start of season. If that's how things work.
  14. Totally agree....but signing young Dan over an injured (passed his best)Wright would have been a step in the right direction. Nielsen is going to be even more of a liability when he returns from injury. The team make-up is a shambles!
  15. Quite right... anyone with half a speedway brain knows that! He should've been signed as soon as we knew the extent of Wrights injury back in April ! Probably cheaper than Wright too.....
  16. 4 meetings at home...20 rides...Sedgmen has won 2 races ! He's not hit double figures once??? woeful! Appointed Captain by the manager .......... very inspirational !
  17. I recognize that I'm spitting my dummy out...but I just can't justify funding something I don't believe in . If the owner/s have got any business sense, then they'd employ a 'proper' speedway manager before Rogers drives even more fans away.
