  1. Not sure it matters who Poole/Oxford pick ? It will be a Poole v Oxford final wont it ?
  2. All money is good....there's just not enough of it at times ! It will most likely be the closest fought meeting at PB this season. Great weather....track prep needs to be better than the last outing!
  3. If I was Plymouth manager, I'd be going for Tom Brennan to replace Worral tonight!
  4. I'm not enthused by this one... 2 rubbishe teams in all honesty!
  5. Then it's a sad world we live in. About time people got over their egos!
  6. Well, they do indirectly? by that, I mean, if a club runs from a stadium that they don't own, then they can only race on certain/dictated nights/days.
  7. I think that this would be less of a problem if there was one League and clubs had more freedom to re-arrange fixtures, as opposed to being controlled by fixed race nights?
  8. I think the way forward would be to 'create' a Midlands Speedway Venue and have B'ham, Cov, Cradley, Wolves, share the facility. It's not an impossible task....
  9. I am pleased to read that NT didn't try and defend the diabolical performances of 5 of our riders on Wednesday. He must be fuming ..... I can only compliment his passion and commitment. It's because of this that I still will attend.....Paradoxically, his anger/dismay is a positive, that's come out of a negative!I can see that NT is determined to get Bham speedway right..... I believe that 'next' season we will have a team that will give us something to shout about! The damage this season was done with the selection of the starting 7....I'm hopeful.
  10. Prior to last night's meeting, Starke had shown a slight upturn in form.... paid 9 in away win at Berwick and paid 11 in slender defeat away at Redcar.... But unfortunately, hasn't done as well as we expected....he was still worth a gamble IMO! The damage was done by the previous manager this season, at least Dickson had a go!
  11. Looked to me as though B'ham tried to prepare a surface that would stifle Scunthorpe, but it clearly back-fired! As for rider performances (or lack of...)? I've been around long enough to know when riders are deliberately riding poorly to lower their 'final' average, in order to get a team place somewhere next season. Say no more! Apart from....I've not seen a guest rider as committed with the guts/passion/pride that Josh Pickering showed last night! He was worth my £20 entrance fee....as for the other 6 B'ham riders (with may be the exception of Sedgemen...) no comment!
  12. Could be 4 weeks if there was an individual/Best Pairs meeting that followed......
  13. Does anyone know if I can use my debit card for entrance instead of cash ?
  14. I didn't predict a scoreline....just merely gave my opinion that I think Scunthorpe will win.....
  15. Oh...ok! Didn't know you had to be positive if you're a Birmingham fan...especially when I've seen them win just one in ten of their home matches this season and already been beaten twice by Scunthorpe. I'd expect you to criticize me for stating the obvious and not about my opinion of tonight's match!
  16. CURTIS SPORT BRUMMIES: Josh Pickering, Stefan Nielsen, Troy Batchelor, Alfie Bowtell, Justin Sedgmen, Sam Hagon, Paul Starke. SCUNTHORPE: Ryan Douglas, Connor Mountain, Simon Lambert, Michael Palm Toft, Jake Allen, Nathan Ablitt, Drew Kemp. From another thread, courtesy of BrummieSte.
  17. Yes, against Berwick and may be Plymouth!? But definitely not against Scunthorpe!
  18. Don't think it matters who guests tonight? Scunthorpe will take their 3rd victory of the season at PB! All of Scunthorpe's riders go well at PB....'Douglas' is nigh-on unbeatable!
