  1. He's just a gater... Leicester or Bham is perfect for him... He won't score anything at BV... I wish the bham riders could gate like him!
  2. That's right....although I think Dan has some way to go to get to Tom's level....same as Leon Flint!
  3. Fair enough...may be I should change the word style to flare ? He is a smooth rider....but I'd say more safe than style?
  4. Kemp doesn't have the bottle/confidence/style, to be other than a good 'gater'! Having said that....he would've fitted well on B'ham's slicker than slick surface!
  5. B'ham fans wouldn't welcome his return! (p.s I think its July)?
  6. I don't think he was even that good! (casual/fun) I've seen faster 'kids' on our local streets causing mayhem etc....!
  7. Track was way too slick for any sort of entertainment (regardless of the score), but its the first meeting, so have to see what the next one brings? Thank heavens for Fricke in Heat 15....the only excitement of the night! I thought Rew/Vuolas and Jonas Jeppesen showed some promise....Edwards is Edwards and will be hit and miss! As for the so called top 3? well, we can only expect them to get sorted for the next meeting....you'd have thought that they'd of had enough advice about set-ups etc.... Put some dirt on the track and see how they go from there..... Some great gating by the Leicester boys!
  8. Hi Heathen 52. I think Fricke, Douglas and Masters hold the key to this one!
  9. I think Pete's suggestion of the train might be wise? Basically, you could park a little further away from VP and get the train in....the traffic around the stadium can be slow, even when a match isnt on? The Cross City line is cheap and frequent and your car might be safer parked further away...
  10. Agree with most of your post, however, in B'ham's defence, from all completed home meetings (15 Heats) the biggest defeat was by only 6 points last season ( I think) Got hammered once by (ironically) Leicester, in a rain affected meeting... But, you're right...it doesn't help being the whipping boys each week... The team looks better 'on paper', this season....even better if Fast Freddie could be added at some point? 😀
  11. I think it was a blessing that Douglas testimonial was postponed, otherwise the leicester riders would've had an advantage... Having said that, I think Leicester will still nick it by about 6/8 points.
  12. The difference being is that Villa average around 42000 (I think?) And bham speedway approx 500.... say no more!
  13. Evens.. Blodorn better than king and brennan better than cook!!
  14. If they take that attitude then they deserve everything they get... That's like having a restaurant and saying find your own seat... Baffled at that statement ...
  15. Havent seen Gypo's CP, or the signs on LP's ?? If you're there early enough, there's limited spaces at the front of the stadium? (or was....)
  16. My preferred choice is Holford Lane (5-10mins) walk from the stadium. https://www.google.com/search?q=holford+lane+great+barr&rlz=1C1GCEA_enGB1043GB1043&oq=holford+lane+great&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBwgCECEYoAEyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigATIHCAMQIRiPAjIHCAQQIRiPAjIHCAUQIRiPAtIBCjExMzQxajBqMTW
  17. Thanked: 330 times 2025 RACENIGHT PARKING « on: Yesterday at 12:41:44 PM » Say Thanks Quote From the main site BIRMINGHAM Speedway would like to confirm racenight parking arrangements for the 2025 season. Supporters will have the opportunity to park in the main stadium car park (bend four) where there will be a £3 charge (£2 for Season Ticket holders) and it will be open from 6pm until 10.30pm. However, supporters should note that the car park will not be manned during the meeting and all vehicles and contents are left at supporters’ risk. As in recent years, the main car park also has a number of disabled spaces available and there is no parking charge for blue badge holders (badges must be displayed for the entirety of your stay). Season ticket holders are also asked to park on the above main car park mentioned, again on a first come, first served basis. Free parking also remains outside Bracebridge Engineering and Kalsi Kitchens on the A34 (B42 1TX) with 30 spaces available, again on a first come, first served basis. However, supporters of all clubs should note that the Holford Drive car park, obtained and used in 2024, is unavailable for the foreseeable future due to travellers moving onto the site during the winter break. The club are actively seeking a replacement / additional car parking facilities and should they be successful, supporters will be notified in due course.
  18. I just think the clubs hands are tied over MJJ....? I can see a Plymouth Edward Kennett coming ...just to get a facility ....
  19. Guessing H Man is going to give Pinny a private message? Let's not worry about MJJ, fast Freddie can come in when he goes 😀
