  1. Can someone tell me what a 'rhythm' is in terms of speedway? This statement is a load of bull...... Just admit that the side is weak and changes need to be made in order for the team to be competitive!
  2. BRUMMIES TARGET TURNAROUND TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2024 ASSISTANT team boss Chris Adams is backing his Birmingham riders to ‘establish a rhythm’ during their next run of fixtures. The Brummies have just one league point to their name from their opening five ROWE Motor Oil Premiership contests – but discussions have taken place behind the scenes on how, as a team, they feel they can turn things around. They travel to Leicester on Thursday before a big night next Monday (April 29) when they host Belle Vue at Perry Barr in the first televised meeting of the season, with live coverage on Eurosport and discovery+. Adams said: “I think the expectations at the start of the season from people on the outside were that we were going to get absolutely annihilated whether we be home or away. “But that wasn’t the case in those first three meetings and we grew in confidence, and perhaps it changed people’s thoughts about us. “We’ve taken some hits the last couple of home matches and they’ve been hard to come back from. “But as I’ve said, once we establish a rhythm, we can certainly turn our results around.”
  3. Definitely. I think it's all because of the flights/foreign leagues etc....it seems a call off based on the forecast, is far more prominent in the Premiership, as opposed to the other 2 British Leagues?
  4. Millik/Worrall and Lampart need changing! Cook has potential and we've got no choice but to keep Flint (even though he's struggling and wont improve this season imo...) It wont be long before Sam Hagon surpasses Flint! Pawliki looks like he'll be a force when they prepare the track right!
  5. You need to try and start believing ! sorry...I couldn't resist!
  6. Agreed! But he's one of the few that have a criminal record for it, therefore, it hits home with a bit more awareness (imo) Personally, I loved watching JG when he was at B'ham....great entertainer and one of the few riders that was worth the entrance fee. I wish him well, as in well-being and hope he's educated himself in the art of 'humanism'!
  7. I think his opponents will question whether they will want to be in a race, on a lethal machine, with someone as mentally unstable as he is? brick laying, plumbing, etc etc etc.....are one thing....but, one of the most dangerous sports in the world is another!? Just saying.....
  8. The first thing B'ham must do before the next home meeting is.....(besides signing Klindt for Lampart).... Knowing how slow 'most' of the team are out the gate....make sure that the track has plenty of grip....regardless of the weather/forecast !!! Don't just get the track ready just so the meeting goes ahead....get the track ready to give the riders a chance to 'over-take'!
  9. Not enough dirt on the track for Millik to score double figures
  10. Surely not for Cook!? Worrall or Lampart....Millik is crap too!
  11. I think fixing races, as opposed to robbing disabled human beings at knife point has a slightly different severity !? Hey...its all about opinions....thank heavens for Forums
  12. One might want to question the so called 'justice' system? ( a whole new can of worms...I know) but, JG was handed a 7 and a half year sentence....and he's out after 3 and a half years? Not sure his victims would call that 'Justice'? I'm all for giving people second chances, but not purely based on a sentence served? I would insist on some proof of reformation!
  13. Sorry....I got lost in the 'chat'...I meant Riss is better than Lampart? Like I say....why arent Bham snapping Klindt up in place of Lampart? Klindt is arguably better than Worrall/Millik/Cook and Lampart???
  14. Doubt whether he'd pass a drugs test!
  15. I'd say the opposite where Leon is concerned? I think complacency is the problem !
  16. I see your point....albeit a little too technical for me ... LOL From what I've seen this season poor Stevie Worrall seems to be struggling in whatever position he rides! I think the trouble at Bham, is that the riders are not under any pressure to perform....they don't seem to be riding for their places!?
  17. Agree with your point about Worrall to a degree... But my point about Riss is why didn't we sign him instead of, or in place of Lampart ? Riss is better than Klindt.
  18. Begs the question why didn't we try and sign Riss ???
  19. Cook is better at reserve than Millik...can't see the advantage? Millik is crap! Millik/Lampart/Worrall need replacing ASAP!
  20. For me...'Flint' is enigmatic! One week he's beating Woffinden/C.Holder, next week he looks like its his first time on a bike!? Not sure if his equipment is up to scratch, or his mental application isn't always there...so to speak? His reactions are questionable....never seems to get out the start....you've either got it or you haven't!? He was a revelation at the age of 15....but I cant see him hitting the heights of Brennan and co. Hope to be proved wrong!
  21. Ha ha.... after last time (Gulp!) I've learnt that silence probably is 'louder' .... especially on this occasion ? It's disappointing as you most probably agree. We (supporters) could see the signs before a wheel was turned....makes you wonder what the so called experts ( management and co...) vision was ? In defence, if there is one? Yes, B'ham were 2nd best yet again from the gate (apart from 4 Heats) but....I have to question where was the grip on the track, because no way is it better for racing than last season! Yes it might be smoother....but there's no racing lines! No doubt, the club will come up with the same old excuse that the weather forecast affected track prep etc.....and I get that....but what's the point in just getting a track ready, just so that the meeting goes ahead? Resulting in slick/boring/monotonous racing! We saw the difference when the rain hit at around Heat 9/10....a couple of 'reasonable heats...which no doubt helped 'Worral' win his only point scoring race... It's not looking good going forward.... Pawliki looks like he'll come good when they give him some grip!
  22. So Douglas misses the gate and throws it ? Should be excluded!
  23. Where's the grip on the track that they've spent loads on? It's a yawn fest!
