Broc Nicol ? (Great choice)....Connor Coles?(would've gone for Danyon Hume) ....Charles Wright ???( Not sure about that one...) be surprised if Wright hits double figures! Max Clegg could be the match winner for Newcastle imo.... -

Well may be we should start to ??? -
Is BT Sport helping the demise of speedway ??? Surely Tattum/Pearson and the other so called experts know what a poor race track Wimborne road is? yet they still decide to televise there, when they could have easily gone to Kings Lynn for a local derby match....surely the atmosphere and the racing would have been better from an entertainment spectacle?

Apologies if it's been said before....What annoys me about the moving at the start scenario is that referees only seem to pull it back if the rider moving hits the front? Surely if they get out ahead of ANYONE, then it's unfair ??? Poor refereeing once again imo……. 2 heats worth the entrance fee and one heat which should have seen Madsen excluded for unfair riding imo! Poor spectacle if that's the pinnacle of our beloved sport (imo) -

You only have to look at the 'darts' to see what a bit of music/build-up does for viewing/spectator ratings ??? Professional presentation goes a long way! -

True! I was probably looking at it through my speedway fan lenses ? : ) i.e for me, if I fancied a weekend away down that neck of the woods, I'd get there Friday evening and watch the racing and then come back home on a Sunday etc.... -

I think Somersets attendance will definitely have taken a hit with a midweek race night as opposed to a Friday, simply from the fact of how many people frequent that area 'leisurely' at weekends.....regardless of what League they're in and what standard of meeting is on offer? -

Hope Ash is keeping fit, because 7 rides from 15 is a tall order ! he'll need '2' up to speed bikes ..... If I was the manager, I'd be carefully plotting/creating(in advance) a few gaps in the meeting for him to recover sufficiently? -

No disrespect intended towards Newcastle.....I'm sure they'll be a tough nut to crack...My comment leans more towards the fact that we only have 1 meeting before July : ))))) -

We only have Newcastle at home before July, so no big deal really? -
Ben is most welcome at B'ham as ZW's replacement ?

I didn't know that about 'Ash' …. but that really is like a 'new' signing !? He's becoming hard to catch around PB...... -

Newcastle up next....another 'winnable' meeting -
I've said it before and I'll say it again.....Ulrich isn't a bad rider....it's definitely his equipment that lets him down....it simply isn't quick enough! As for Zach? the future is what he wants it to be.....he has the ability, he has the machinery, he doesn't have the confidence !!? Only time will tell?

Ohhhhh....is Foamfence giving out Grammar lessons ??? I thought he was questioning Brummies timing/tactical movement ??? My post reads exactly as us Brummies would say it : )))))

Exactly! May 31st ...Ulrich replaced ! June 2nd....Zach cries off!

Agree about Drew Kemp.....he did look a bit lightweight last night and Paco certainly took no prisoners when he passed him! The gulf between NL and Championship is massive .... I have a different opinion about Shanes/Kennedy incident? there appeared to be no contact at all....just a hard pass. It could easily have been the other way round on the previous lap....? You're right about Stoneman going in to bend 3/4 fast in heat 2, but Macdonald locked up and gave Stoneman no chance of avoiding him.....Macdonald definitely was the cause of the stoppage...imo! Just glad no-one got injured -
The way I saw him was.......Ulrich is a good/hard rider, but his machinery lacks speed....I reckon if B'ham had of known about Zach quitting before sacking Ulrich, he'd of still been with us now??? Great/likeable guy and I wish him well at Redcar!

The result was 'fantastic' ! The racing wasn't much to shout about (imo) ? Gate and go ! I'm not convinced by the 'new' track curators ? Some of the race times were 2/3 seconds slower than the National League last season. FACT! There was one or 2 heats of good team riding to bag 2nd/3rd places.....but team riding is a lot easier on a slick surface like last night. I can only recall 2 passes worth mentioning? Anyhow.... Great performances from Morris and Paco.....Shanes deserved more for his efforts....Stoneman got shafted in Heat 2 running in to a 'locked-up' Macdonald....I think both riders must've damaged their machinery because both were off the pace after their crash? The flying Finn? looked comfortable and very controlled...just needs a couple of meetings to get dialled in.....couldn't of picked 2 harder meetings to kick off his season (Leicester next week) Sheffield look a very solid side and it's a massive compliment to our boys for beating them! What was that I hear??? Brummies for the 'wooden spoon' ??? Think again!!! -
