A good and well attended practice session yesterday .... Roll on next Wednesday for some 'real' action! I thought 'Paco' was really pushing it and he looked very smooth ! There was a 'young' Dane on show(Nick ?)....17 years old and he didn't look out of place amongst the more experienced guys! Josh Mcdonald was there practising and it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't get a team spot somewhere before the season's out.

I think most 'B'ham' supporters will agree that Ostergaard isn't a No.1 rider... but all we can do is back him and the team to do their best!? I seem to recall a post/s on the Peterborough thread, that Ulrich's machinery can at times, resemble a 'lawnmower' ? Being a No.1 rider carries a lot of weight/responsibility...it's going to be a tough season for him, hopefully the fans will be realistic and not expect too much. P.s S4S's comments/observations about James's 'Grasstrack' style is 'spot-on' imo....

Well done to the 'Masons' ! I love watching 'James' around Perry Barr....he attacks every bit of the track and never settles for 2nd best! The 'Entertainer' will be a legend before too long!

David Mason Farewell meeting to K.O our season ! A challenge fixture v Wolverhampton to celebrate David's riding career! I panicked when I first read the 'headline' as I thought he was leaving without a wheel being turned ? : )

Just saw that he's signed up for the B'ham Bull, so at least he's getting some competitive track time for what it's worth.

Would you prefer the alternative??? Another 'BORING' season in the mickey mouse NL ??? You're entitled to your opinion, but I'm chuffed that we've moved up and I'm confident of seeing some 'value for money' racing at PB this season!

Personally, imo....a No.1 Rider doesn't bring fans back ??? value for money has more of a chance? A close fought out meeting grabs my attention.....not 15 Heats of 5-1's !

Who gives a monkey's where we finish in the league ??? We're finally going to see some exciting speedway down at PB again! My only wish for the season is that 'financially' we remain viable! Well done Peter and David Mason, you've definitely surpassed my expectations from a supporter's point of view! Shanes as our last signing is great.....equally as good as Tom Bacon around PB and rides more lines imo!

He'd of definitely made the GP's without injury and with the right backing. One of the most naturally gifted riders I've seen in a long time! (since Michael Lee scored an 18 point maximum at the age of 16, in his debut season and on his first ever visit to Perry Barr......unbelievable!)

Great to see Danyon get signed up at Leicester.....albeit in the NL....an injury free season in the NL won't do him any harm at all. Not sure Leicesters track will suit his all-out racing style though (hopefully they'll have sorted that dodgy 3rd/4th bend out?) Good luck to Danyon....he'll be missed at PB.

So, with 5.54 to play with,,are there any 'Championship' experts out there who can guess who our final acquisition might be ? Having been stuck in the NL for so long, I've lost touch with the 'Championship' talent?

I totally agree with Shanes over Davey, I just thought that the management have a close relationship with Mitch? Ideally, we could do with someone with a bit more of a 'punch' than both riders....imo! I'm fed up of reading about 'our' 2 new foreign riders not being good enough ??? it's obvious that we've had to take them on due to the stupid 'asset' rule! Instead of an 'ass'-et rule, there should be a 'minimum' Brit inclusion rule imo!

It will definitely be Shanes or Davey imo....(I'm leaning towards it being Davey?)
