So that makes it 4-3 to Redcar ? I don't think these comparisons tell a fat lot because imo Shanes is arguably better than Ayres and Paco, on his day....it really does depend on the 'track' and whether there's an outside line to be had.... Redcar are far stronger imo! Should be some great racing all the same!

I think I read/heard someone say that they used the Glasgow meeting(away) to try a few things out (engines/set-ups etc...) ?

That's quite right....it was a 'track' imbalance....however, it opens up a whole new debate about whether the rider has quick enough reactions to control the bike, like Tungate did a bit later on and also it questions the rider's balance/style.....being of a small/light frame probably doesn't help JB, as I'm sure a hell of a lot of strength is needed to hang on in those situations. He's a brave rider, but may be doesn't have the physical attributes needed to avoid sticky situations? just a thought.......

Might sound a bit of a stupid comment Sidney, but I think the 'speed' of the bikes may have taken some of the competitive edge off proceedings..... I also miss the 'proper' smell, since the intro of the oil catcher?

I think the biggest problem we have...isn't about the development of young riders? I think it's about creating/establishing a 'saleable' product to 'keep' and 'recruit', old/new fans respectively.... We need a Professional/Modern approach, to 'ignite' a dying product .....imo Easier said than done of course!

Wouldn't a tactically astute manager use the reserve switch to get around any 6/7 stipulation? just a thought ?

'Ayres' is a good choice of guest for us.....just hope we back it up with some dirt on the outside of bends 1 and 2 for him to excel/entertain ! I'll be surprised if we can keep the meeting competitive though? an easy away win imo.

Unfortunately that's something that Danyon and Nathan have in common then. I guess it happens when you're a committed racer like they both are.

Quite right about Danyon and my 'frustration/question' isn't aimed at him, however I don't think his signing has strengthened us..... I thought Nathan was doing a great job and shouldn't have been dropped imo. Danyon is/was a fans favourite and I'm sure he'll get dialled in after a few meetings....he's great to watch when on form

He's only missed one meeting so far.....and as for Friday ? does it really make any difference to the outcome? It will just make the meeting even more boring for the paying customer.....unless you get off on hammering the opposition?!

We (B'ham) look considerably weaker than we did before a wheel was turned at the start of the season??? Obviously the 2 injured riders isn't helping.....but Hume and 'more so' Agertoft, have weakened us considerably. Strange decision???

Kurtz moved in Heat 1 along with Fricke.....'why didn't he receive a warning also' ? How on earth do the BV fans put up with that screeching woman on the mike....It's enough to put me off going ! Enjoyable meeting with some very brave racing!
