Or the fact that Terry has left his post and nobody else knows what to do???

Looking at the current forecast, there's a good chance that the meeting might be called off tonight ? -

Laurence says there's good news for next Wednesday as Aarnio is possibly back??? Not sure why that's good news as he has been below average imo since signing? We'd have more chance against a very strong Somerset side if we had a guest replacement. Think that's possibly the last we see of Ellis this season? -

Great move by the 'Masons' for next Home Meeting? £10 entry for any local football fan with a season ticket to their club! Hope it attracts a few more through the turnstiles..... -

Get the track right then work on the team....atm, sign anyone that can gate and we'll win every meeting! If it's true about 'Terry' (trackman) giving up (wish him well btw) then we've got big problems if last night is anything to go by? Get Priest/Browning back asap! -
Not sure any rider could be criticised from last nights meeting....they ALL tried their best, on an absolutely 'woeful' surface ! What has happened to the track ??? How can it go so bad since the Glasgow meeting 2 weeks ago??? Shame about Ellis injury....starting to question Danyon's lack of control (2 avoidable falls imo)??? Quite right about Paco discovering an outside line (as Col mentioned) We'd of won that match last night had the track been up to it's race-able best.....no doubts!

Or cheaper still..... drive there/back same day….done it loads of times! -
It's definitely 'not' an acceptable way to manage/lead a team....not a 'successful' one in any case! I wished my manager here at work would ask me if I'd like to work a full day, or a half day : ))))))

Paco's comments on main Brummies site...... I knew I'd read it somewhere : ) I agree with your comment about lack of winning mentality....'it seems to be a very British thing these days'...(unless you play cricket )

Every race we were trying something different and I used a new set-up every single race for example so we are always trying to improve
-
I would've opted for Ben Barker over Jake Allen....but that's only because I know what Ben is capable of around PB

Lawrence is a good/nice guy, but may be not the best tactically...? He's not had much luck since he's been at PB with injuries to key riders etc.... I'd question the tactical reasons behind Agertoft signing? but it could purely be down to lack of finances and we only have 'low' attendances to blame for that!? -
So that makes it 4-3 to Redcar ? I don't think these comparisons tell a fat lot because imo Shanes is arguably better than Ayres and Paco, on his day....it really does depend on the 'track' and whether there's an outside line to be had.... Redcar are far stronger imo! Should be some great racing all the same!
-
I think I read/heard someone say that they used the Glasgow meeting(away) to try a few things out (engines/set-ups etc...) ?
-
I think we'll do extremely well to hit 40 points.....38-52 is my prediction It will be disappointing to lose, but when you compare the line-ups, I have no complaints!?

Leicester V Edinburgh 18/7/19 Championship.
GiveusaB replied to justathought's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That's quite right....it was a 'track' imbalance....however, it opens up a whole new debate about whether the rider has quick enough reactions to control the bike, like Tungate did a bit later on and also it questions the rider's balance/style.....being of a small/light frame probably doesn't help JB, as I'm sure a hell of a lot of strength is needed to hang on in those situations. He's a brave rider, but may be doesn't have the physical attributes needed to avoid sticky situations? just a thought....... -

looks to me like P'boro manufactured what they thought would be a home advantage with the track......hence no outside grip....massively back-fired on them!?
