  1. Used to love hearing 'William Tell Overture' back in the 70's just when the riders were heading to the tapes.... ahhhhh....the good old days!
  2. B'ham played 'Bringing on back the Good Times' - Love Affair ..... whenever they won a meeting! Don't think there's too many scratches on the record !? 🤣
  3. I don't know how to insert the you tube video but: Theme from an unmade silent movie Fanfare for the Common Man
  4. Ipswich still made the play offs without Emil/Jason....so, I believe, regardless of injuries, Ipswich/Sheffield/B.V will make the play-offs, as they have 'good' management and will fill any void that comes their way...
  5. It's slowly disappearing in 'reality', not just the TV screen!
  6. For B'ham to finish in a play off position they would have to be ahead of Leicester/Kings Lynn? With Ipswich/B.V/Sheffield a given..... I'm afraid, there's no comparison imo.... But I do think that B'ham will finish above Oxford!
  7. He wasn't scoring/riding that well when he got banned.... even with his recreational help?
  8. I think that will depend on how much Doyle will add to gate receipts?
  9. Each to their own! I don't think I'd miss B'ham Speedway too much if it wasn't there and I've been attending since 1971.... with age/wisdom/family/hobbies etc....I've diluted my passion from a die hard one Club man, to more of a supporter of the sport! Speedway is nowhere near as exciting as it used to be IMO and I can take it or leave it!
  10. I think you might mean 'Oxford' ?
  11. Not sure 'trying to sign one of the best riders in the Prem is a clanger'? Shows ambition! May be they were let down with false hopes/promises? Besides, they knew Bewley was signing for BV since end of November, so they've had plenty of time to sort another route out for team building...??? Cr#p managing if you ask me!
  12. Just shows, money doesn't always talk ! ? Oxford have ballsd up big time!
  13. I agree Lewy! It would have been far easier to throw the towel I'n. I applaud whoever is financing this hobby!
  14. Following and attending are two different things for me? I've followed bham since 1971, but haven't attended every match. My point about purchasing a season ticket is ... is it a benefit to the supporter or the club? Im just not prepared to throw £200 plus to 'bulls!t'? I don't trust Rogers ! I'll pick and choose which meetings I attend... Things will also depend on the track... I want entertainment when I go...
  15. True....but if you're planning on buying a season ticket, stories like this might make u think twice?
  16. It happened with Ellis a couple of seasons ago. Bham management need to quash these rumours unless they're true ???
  17. Not fussed where we finish, as long as we see 7 riders competing and giving it their all !! Just hope they get enough time to get the track right this season....the riders need a decent surface to perform on.....way too slick and inconsistent at times last year.....hope the Club are given more time to prepare it before each meeting as I know their hands were tied by the stadium owners etc.....
  18. May be if Laguta is the final signing? 🤣
  19. They'll be a few more if he does any good!? 😀
  20. Well done Brum! Looks like Chris Adams knows what he's doing?
