The worrying thing is other than Holder and Iversen I can't think of any rider who would fill the number 1 criteria. Hancock is the only other name but he I very much doubt would be interested and after a year out could be a risk. Other than that I'm struggling! If Nicholls had been factored in at the bottom end on his bargain average I wouldn't be so worried

Quite funny to think that Tungate was once hot property and signed for Ipswich dispite intresting others. However all went wrong fell out with the club and has never hit the highs most thought he would.

He might well come to Foxhall and bang in double figure scores as he had in previous seasons.... However he can't do it consistently week in week out so we're better off with out him. As for upping his average not so sure on that one as I said consistency is his issue now

Interesting that both Poland and the UK were attracting similar attendance to league meeting in the 70s and early 80s. If you want to control where riders go then sign them all on a central BSPA contracts put them in groups of one to seven and draw the names out of a hat to see where they end up for the season.
