  1. Hey you Makem clown do you not fully read the other posts on here and if these kids don't respond to the BSPL email by default they opt out FFS what a half witted clown you are... keep modelling those cherry lips you dickwad... Phil posted on the 2nd of Feb and I trust his information before owt you might say... if ya said it was raining I would go outside to check you buffoon... Regards THJ
  2. So the rising star can go in at 6 instead of 7? Regards THJ
  3. Whoa there chaps... No slight on Eastie... I ain't got one problem with their team whatsoever... Just pointing out on the comment made by mmmethanol that Jason has been missed off the list and that the process as far as we are aware is supposed to have your Rising Star at 7, also what Scunny Phil has stated is that if riders opt out of the System they may not get picked as RS riders will get preference; stupid I know but it will be interesting to see what happens in this instance if it was just a typo omission of Jason Edwards not being on the list or if he has opted out and if so will Eastie be forced to put in a 2* rider off the list to complete their team... So whose to blame? well its the system stupid; because in most organisations the buck stops with the boss; but not the BSPL; so who is the boss? is that the Chairman Rob Godfrey and will he take the buck for this clock-up? well he's never seen the buck; in fact he wont know that there is a buck; in fact we will be informed no doubt that it was to his profound regret that no one alerted him to the existence of any buck. During the period under discussion, you see, it was not standard BSPL procedure to monitor the buck... With hindsight he will accept that there was a buck and that if he had known at that time that there was a buck he would have certainly acted upon it and dealt with it and that the buck could have been prevented. But tragically his attention was never drawn to the buck hence the buck does not stop with him, The problem he will advise is with the system; which he had nothing to do with; neither its construct or formulation only its delivery so there is no one to blame other than the system and as such there is nothing to see here so just move on... Next years BSPL press release... Regards THJ
  4. There is an option to opt out of the scheme; he may have exercised that option? Regards THJ
  5. Well there is a thing Drew Kemp is on there as a 3* rider and the impression is that the "Starred Rider" will start at 7 so the question is WTF... Eastie haven't found a loop hole already have they? Honestly you couldn't make this tripe up... Oh hang on I think that's just the thing... back of a fag packet springs to mind for those old enough... Regards THJ
  6. From what I am hearing you are correct... Next season a max of 6 star points for PL team so a 4 + 2 or 3 + 3 rider as Rising Star Reserves and for the CL its 4 Star points per team so a 3 + 1 or a 2 + 2... Personally I don't like it whatsoever and I don't know many who do... but according to the press release everyone thinks its great? My preference would be you can't go PL until you have a 6 average or more in the CL so with a conversion rate of 1.5 that gives gives a reserve starting average of 4 points and up the team build level to 45 points in the PL and for the CL you need at least an average of 6 in the NL with a conversion rate of 3 gives a 2 point average in the CL and let the CL clubs build to 35 points.... Finally let the NL build to 25 points to force them to put kids (or novices) in and not high averaged riders who race in three leagues and finally a conversion rate of 3 between these two leagues (NL to CL). no one racing in the PL should be engaged in the NL. The "Fast Track" system didn't work and this won't as it is doing the one thing everyone in every league is against and that's diluting the product; The other thing is; the elephant in the room; (and no one wants it to happen); but just wait until we get injuries and not serious ones to boot; the list isn't endless is it; quality will go right out of the window; also many promotions wont be as patient as others will be when these kids have a crisis of confidence and want to be dropped because they find scoring tough or because they aren't scoring they then get cut because scoring is tough... Guarantee or not... Nobody is sorrier than me that the BSPL had to spend there valuable time writing out and implementing this process. Though from my personal standpoint I know for a certainty that the process is set up to fail from the off and like many other great ideas in the past it will slide down the valley of regret with near a mention again, please accept my expression of deep regret at this unfortunate episode and don't hold your breath for any regret; remorse or an apology from the BSPL on this matter… Did anyone ever explain why the "Fast Track" system was dumped? So I am sorry if anyone feels offended with my view of the proposal but it does come from first hand experience... Regards THJ
  7. Bjarne Pedersen... Ooooooaaaaarrrggggghhhhh!!! Bah!!! Definitely feel like "The Green-Eyed Goblin" after that one... Well done Plymouth... if that's the starter for 7 cant wait to see who the other 6 are for sure... Cant wait to see him back at Newcastle either... just for the nostalgia factor if nothing else... Regards THJ
  8. Where you got that figure from??? (the brilliant 5 year plan from last year to raise the multiplier each year until it got to 2.0 has been dropped so the multiplier hasn't risen to 1.6 this year as proposed) 8.82 x 1.5 = 13.23... Still to high and Batch would have to do a "Joe Screen" and get his average down to 8 to get a 12 average before he could be considered for a double up roll; unless (and its a big unless) the BSPL do a special one off rule bend!!! and let him come in on a 12 (which they won't) so its a moot point really... Regards THJ
  9. Yep... I had it right the first time although by accident as I thought he was British and applied a 2.5% reduction to him to get to the correct average... then changed it under instruction... but never mind we got there eventually Regards THJ
  10. Not sure mac it could work and if true what a crowd pleaser... brilliant for the Championship... a 1* RS reserve is only 13 points used so 28 points for 5 more riders... yes they could work around that surely... Regards THJ
  11. Oh well at a guess young Luke from Berwick is pretty close... Regards THJ
  12. Seriously strong top end that... Poole fans should be well made up with that signing...
  13. By the way can you clarify who you are talking about here because I think you have the wrong rider... I definitely don't think you know who I am on about and as such have rumbled off on a tantrum here when we are taking about different people... Regards THJ
  14. Well it wasn't what George said and as I posted above "I will give you the full rundown when I see you in private rather than on here" as I have done many times in the past should you require or I can text or call... not a problem and I am happy to give you a proper reply in person... Regards THJ
  15. His last Premiership average was 8.82 so his Champ average would be 13.23 Cant see it happening to be fair unless he can get that average to 8.00 or below
  16. May be Stoneman to Edinburgh because they look like they have to make an enforced change?
  17. Aye and its either Andy or Colin and I just cant make my mind up....
  18. Honestly You haven't got a clue... but I will give you the full rundown when I see you in private rather than on here... but just keep making it up... and your not involved and haven't been since your mate George sacked you from running the kids/junior teams or doing the winter track work... so stop second guessing and trying your fishing exercise because there is a much bigger picture to consider... Regards THJ
  19. Cos it's not like you have never criticized the BSPL like have you Dave... Nothing funnier than folks with short memories like is there.... Dave... Regards THJ
  20. Hey I could be totally wide of the mark but when you read between the lines of what folk are posting I will guarantee it will be something contrived as the BSPL always do that... they put so many rules and regulations into a plan to try and stop promoters manipulating the system or cheating but in the very fact that they put all these rules and guidelines in place the usual suspects usually find a way to get what they want and end up driving a bus through them... Regards THJ
  21. Hi Neil I have just been told that the conversion rate is staying at 1.5 for the foreseeable future and although I haven't seen the change confirmed anywhere but the source if good so the following... • Rider ‘doubling down’ and rider progression opportunities• For a number of reasons, the BSPA has activated a phased 5-year plan to create a clear progression ladder for up-and-coming riders. In addition, the plan will gradually reduce the number of ‘doubling down’ riders between the Premiership and Championship Clubs. For 2019 the Championship Club rider average has been reduced to 38 points. The average conversion rate from Premiership to Championship will be 1.5. This conversion rate will increase (For example 1.6 in 2020) by one tenth of a point each year until the rate reaches 2.0 Looks like it has been binned.... that's another 5 year plan that's gone down the pan... oops!!! Regards THJ
  22. Honestly We should really wait until the detail is known to be fair... But here is an educated (or not) guess! if it helps... Looking at this from the outside I believe next year for the double pick there will be a draft as alluded to so the bottom team in the league will get first pick of all available riders however the club who the RS rider has last ridden for gets "First Dibbs" on the rider they have used the previous season; So guessing at an example (and I'm sorry for keep using Leon but he is a good example of a good RS prospect) Berwick use Leon Flint all this season and his average stays about the same this year so they say we are keeping him and he stays as a 3*RS (at No6) they then bring in Archie Freeman as their 1*RS (at No7) next year; the following year 2023 if both riders stay the same RS wise Berwick have the choice to keep one of the RS riders but the other one is released for the draft pick... they do not become club assets as a RS... they become club assets once out of the RS programme... or again in the above scenario in the third year if Leon becomes a 4*RS but moves into the main body of the Berwick team with an average and Archie becomes a 2* RS they can then keep Archie (or get rid) and bring in a draft pick 2* or 1*RS as the new reserve... However Leon will still be a 4* RS rider for the top league to use... Simples.... Regards THJ
