  1. I think Rich and Lewis would be good assets. Richie Worrall - I can't see him leaving Armadale... just yet anyway Lewis Rose - It's possible and time will tell
  2. I totally agree. If you looked at Kyle at the start of the season nobody would've thought he would do that. Coming on leaps and bounds and a real prospect for the future of World Speedway
  3. Just needs to get looser on 3 and 4 as he seems to take it a little too tight (Like Wells did a few years back) and he's cracked it really. The rest will come in time.
  4. My views on tonight's meeting (Preview) Peterborough Panthers Ben Barker - Always riding his heart out until the end. On fire last night in the North West and should produce similar scoring this evening Emil Grondal - Has been good to achieve at least his average recently, has to make heat 8 a 3 pointer for him and anything other than a last is good in his other outings Bradley Wilson Dean - Again a full-on racer and should be in for at least 8/9 if not more (Panther's could do with perhaps a few more) Michael Palm Toft - Recently not been topping the scores but not been too far down. Fans will be hoping MPT is back to business tonight Ulrich Ostergaard - Not pulling anything major out since coming back and could be in for another tough night. However, fan's will be hoping for something different Jordan Stewart - Was a decent sight last time guesting for the Panthers and has been improving since then but was in an awkward accident in Peterborough's visit to Workington - Could swing it depending on how he goes Simon Lambert - Returning from his wedding and hoping to pull in another pleasing score down at reserve Lakeside Hammers Richard Lawson - Looking good wherever he goes and will take some stopping tonight if it's the same Lawson who was at Belle Vue recently Ben Morley - Always good for an upset or two on his day and could be in for a slightly higher score than his last appearance here, especially with the NLRC rolling around Adam Ellis - Made some guest appearances around The Showground this season and that explains how he goes, impressive! If he's fully fit he could be in for double figures Kyle Newman R/R - Still out with the injury sustained at Workington in late August. The Hammers (on paper) should be able to cover this as they have done in the past Aaron Summers - In recent weeks, notching good scores in wherever he goes and has shown in the past of his liking to the track Broc Nicol - Only scored 1 when he rolled into town with Sheffield during July. No doubt will be trying his heart out as they all will, but can't see him changing the game Alfie Bowtell - Again, not a game changer, scoring 1 in his recent visit and the time before, 0. Still will be going for it but on paper, shouldn't be doing anything out of the ordinary Predicted Score Peterborough - 51 Lakeside - 39
  5. A shortlist of riders who could very well be seen in a Diamonds jacket next season (my views) Tero Aarnio - Been one of the standout riders this season altogether and a real game changer Ashley Morris - Really settled down since arriving at Brough in 2016 (Not mentioning the Peterborough and Somerset stints in between) Josh Pickering - A wonderful sight to see around Newcastle but would he be tempted to walk from the Monarchs? Danny Phillips - Obviously a very poor season for Danny, but if the point limit is lowered then there could be an opening for him to potentially return Ludvig Lindgren - A lacklustre start to the season especially at home but started to improve as the season was beginning to curtail, should be considered but not as a number 1 Matthew Wethers - A good return season for the Aussie following a year away, capable of being a solid reserve and potentially a number 2 but who knows? Rene Bach - Always a class act since day 1, the offer would have to be a tempting one as he does seem happy over in the West Matej Kus - Really good at home on his day but tends to get opened up to weakness on the away tracks, still can be coverable however Carl Wilkinson - Always someone capable of 5-6 points (minimum) in most cases, looks happy where he is too Lasse Bjerre - Impressive around Newcastle (when he isn't having gremlins) but the question is, will he come back to the UK following the Sheffield altercation? Josh Embleton - One of the wilder thoughts but hear me out. I'm not saying Josh should be in the main squad but as an on-track number 8 (when available home and away) to see how he improves and then considered for 2020 Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen - Someone else who has looked good in his handful of appearances in the North East but is a potential thought Kyle Newman - A former diamond who has been away for 9 years and has improved a hell of a lot since being the 17 year old. Prone to injury and bad luck but if he can keep away from the disasters is capable of being a solid middle order man - home and away B - Named (Likely) I - More unlikely Would love to hear your thoughts
  6. Anybody know the reason Ludvig Lindgren failed to appear at Workington on Friday?
  7. Just hoping it hasn't gone sour. Would love to see Proctor come back next season if possible
  8. Have done, trying to discover any further detailing
  9. Any news on the reason Mason Campton was captain rather than Ty tonight?
  10. My views on tonight's meeting (Preview) Workington Comets Nicolai Klindt - Looked good last night but never incredibly fast, however his gating was more up to standards as he still battles with his clutch troubles in the UK. Rasmus Jensen - Another impressive home meeting and will take some stopping. Could well be in for another big score tonight but needs to be firing well. Ben Barker (G) - Always impressive but is renowned to not be the fastest from the traps, Looked brilliant for Redcar/Peterborough but not the same last time out in the blue and white. Still good for a decent amount whatever one we get. Rene Bach - A good partner for Ben, been looking good from the gates and is fast enough as shown last night. Ty Proctor - Made a good comeback last night, yet only came out 3 times but looked a lot better since the last time he was at his home track. Also has a point to prove after being left behind on the victory lap following heat 15 Kyle Bickley - Could be in for perhaps his biggest score this season, outpaced Danny at Berwick in 'Stars Of Tomorrow'. Mason Campton - Looked very good (As he has done most of this year) Comets' fans will be hoping for the same as yesterday. Scunthorpe Scorpions Steve Worrall - Not 100% but still good enough to challenge tonight and needs to be as expected from the word "go". Stefan Nielsen - First time at Workington in a long time (I believe so) but is a trier wherever he goes but if the comets are riding like 24 hours prior he might need to surprise a few. Jason Garrity - Always is impressive on the bigger tracks, also fully it and in some form, theoretically should do better than last time. Jake Allen - Shown last time he is very capable but did also run 2 lasts when the Scorpions visited earlier in the season - yet bagged 3 wins and a 2nd. Josh Auty - Unlucky last time up in the North West after a nasty looking crash but is again a rider who knows how to get around Derwent Park as shown in the past. Danny Phillips - Sadly not looking on the best of form and doesn't look to turn it around tonight, but is still capable for a few points on his day. Gino Manzares - Again capable of scoring at least his expected average, and has come into some slightly better form in recent weeks, be nice to see if he can keep it going tonight. Predicted Score Workington - 49 (94) Scunthorpe - 41 (86)
  11. Word about is Kirkland Carpets are going to be taking over next year from Thomas Armstrong as new team sponsor so it sounds like we're going for 2019 - All being well
  12. SGB finishing order for heat 1 Wilson-Dean - Somerset Woryna - Poole Doyle - Somerset Kurtz - Poole Score (5-1) How does that work then?
  13. Ty Proctor has failed a fitness test tonight against Swindon
  14. Stuart Robson announcing this is his last year of racing
  15. What happened at Berwick? or am I missing something
  16. If we had Bewley and everyone 100% I'm certain we could run anyone for their money out of the other 3. It'll be interesting to see how we go as it's so wide open, personally, I think it's Glasgow's to lose from what I've seen as of late but never say never and every day is different in the land of Speedway
  17. Knew there was someone else said but my fried brain couldn't remember
  18. Not confirming anything but last night there were a few saying we might be trying to get Aaron Summers for this one
  19. From Lakeside Hammers twitter "Sending our very best wishes to our former Hammer Paul Hurry suffered a dislocated kneecap, 2 broken bones in his wrist, rib and back injuries riding for Kent Kings last night. Get well soon Paul"
  20. Think he just had a slight blip, or something was wrong with the bike. It was his 8th ride by that time so very easy for something to go on the bike because they don't tend to be used as often as that per meeting but we'll never know. The main thing is the comets grab all 6 points and now sit in 2nd 2 points off Peterborough and 1 point ahead of Edinburgh (who have ridden 1 more match than us). If all goes well this could be the first time we see Workington finish top of the table! Not to mention we're on foot in for the CS Final, more or less in the KOC Semi-Final and the ball is in our court for a top 4 finish too. We don't do too bad for a team predicted for the bottom 3
