Monarchs - shrewed/astute management the rest i agree with
-
Possibly but they key word is ALL. If it was intended only for British riders then It would have had this stipulation within the press release.
-
I do not believe its limited to just british riders, it is ALL riders who habe progressed through the national/conferece league( see info below provided by bspa) The BSPA League Structures for 2019 will be; (NB to support the progression of riders who have progressed through the National Development League, all riders will receive a 2.5% reduction in their average)
-
Heeps should come in on 5.89 with the reduction from mildenhall in 2011.
-
Yes i would normally agree, I am not a clegg fan what so ever but as the poster(above) has sugested with this limit and watwered down league he should..should do ok at reseeve

Wells - 8.40 sedgy - 6.17 pickering - 6.11 becker - 5.00/Andersson - 5.10 M Riss - 4.84 Lawson - 3.90 Clegg - 3.25 with becker - 37.67 with Andersson - 37.77

Yep thats fair enough if it was a laugh as you say if cookie knew them, just a bit of light hearted banter but as you say if some really were booing (which it did appear to me that some were but i could be wrong) then your right, need to buck up their ideas afer all as mentioned prevously the guy is just doing his job and trying to earn a living. anyways if glasgow do pip us to the post for the playoffs then on last nights showing i cant seen anybody getting close at ashfield and could be hard to beat over 2 legs. if we dont make the playoffs we still have the cup which i think we are in with a shout due to our recent home form.
-
Firstly congratulations to glasgow well deserved winners on the night. Cookie as you say was excellent to watch and a class apart. I would only give pass marks to josh, broc and possibly riss for his effort, the others well the least said the better i think (bad day at the office). I fear for our play off hopes now. As for the part highlighted in bold above regards the boo’s, this also really annoyed me and i was standing right in amongst the “booers” , i was tempted to have a word with them as i thought it was bang out of order(the ones next to me wernt laughing and joking)and i would imagine cookie may not have been to chuffed either.(he wasnt to know if it was pantomime stuff or not)

Hi Ultimate Trupms i have noted below the remaining deffinitions for you and your son, i hope his project goes well. M= Meetings ( also referred to as matches sometimes). R = Rides P= Points B= Bonus Points (get this if you finish behind a team mate who finishes 1st or 2nd, you dont get this is you finish 4th, ie team mate finishes 3rd) GSA= Green Sheet Average(official rolling average for team building, excludes bonus points) Ave= Average(includes bonus points and for current season only) R=Retirements ( i.e engine failure and fail to finish race, sometimes noted as RET) Ex=Exclusions/Excluded (new term is actually disqualification/disqualified but many still refer to excluded) this is if you cause a race to be stopped before the finish. also there is a few more terms that you may see so i have listed these below as well CMA= calculated match average (same figure as the “average” description above but you will see CMA more often probably) EF=engine failure T=Tapes Exlussion M=2 minute exlcusion TS=Tactical Subsitute Res\Rev= Reserve Replacement R\R=Rider Replacement IRR=Injury Rider Replacement If you need any more info pleae post and and sure we can help out with any queries. thanks

I have to say that the price that edinburgh charge( and i am an edinburgh supporter) is too high in my opionion. £2, car park, £18.50 at gate and £3 for programme thats £23.50 before you have bought a bovril and also i dont get the supporters bus as i drive but im sure thats about £5 as well so if you add that on its pretty steep indeed. Not everybody can make it everyweek so no point with a blue or gold card, and not everybody has or uses internet to get the discounted price however i think this is only around a £1 or so. As posted before away fans will turn up at the gate and pay the full price( i know i do when in do the away meetings). if they made the gate price cheaper this would deffinetly help the “non regulars” to pop a long and they may well come back as well.

Although we dealt out a bit of a pasting last night to the Comets, I feel this will be a lot lot closer run thing. Comets unbeaton at home and looking to bounce back from last night and with play off hopes still high, a lot at stake for both teams. hoping for a monarchs win but i can see comets maybe taking it 47-43 (possible last heat decider). -
What i would say to that is, that any rider worth their salt would get the set up after a heat or so, if they cant well thats not the tracks fault in my opinion. If you want to be a good rider you should be able to learn to ride any type of track. It’s to easy just riding the big open tracks where you hardly need to turn the bike and be a “throttle merchant” , the small technicall tracks sorts the men from the boys.( that is on way just directed at the comets).
-
That may be debatable about the longest running, is it not the scottish open? I could be wrong though. According to my reasearch the “scottish open” started in 1928 but at the time it was know as the “Scottish Championship”. I do look forward to the golde. Helent meetings as they normally produce great racing. Thanks for advising of the date slyox

This may well be the best Post I have seen on this forum. I was not at the meeting last night but a close friend was and he advisd that it was a very nasty crash indeed. Further to your point regards the admission, maybe a collction could be arranged for Dan, with us (edinburgh) coming down next week(maybe too soon for tonights meeting) im sure there will be a lot of fans who will contribute. Get Well Soon Dan. -
Incorrect, clegg was given a chance again ( after his wolve’s end of season choice, where he “used and abused us” ) he did not cut the musturd, we were hoping he could improve on his last spell with us but as showen at berwick he still cannot ride larger tracks and as a previous post mentioned, he should be nigh on unbeatable in the national league but he is not. It’s not like we have replaced him with an overseas rider, we have another britsh rider, to which we all should be glad for right now.
-
It is hardly average fiddling, its called on the ball team management, no rules where broken or bent so i do not see the issue with this. To say we should not make the playoffs due to this team change is absourd. But pearsonally i dont think we will make the play offs due to the poor start to the season we had.
-
This is what i was referring too in my previous post, i think the departure of dickson upset the applecart a little with what seemed a shock departure, which can inadvertantly affect riders. apologies if my last post was seen to be unfair “slagging” glasgow, i can asure you it was not meant that way at all. I am an avid supporter of not only edinburgh but scottish speedway as a whole.
-
Hopefully he will be ok at the dale but he needs to sort out his gating as he is always well back going into the first bend.(yes its quite exciting coming from the back however there is not as many weak 2pt reserves this year) If he can sort that out then he could be a trump card(at home). As for his away form, having followed the team to all but 2 away meetings in the last 5 years(more than this but in relation to clegg), you are corrct, just does not move off the line and if he does, hasnt a clue how to ride the wide line on the big tracks, just hoping that has improved (as per his comments on the press release). We have berwick, sheffield, glasgow and workington to come. As fore Richie, im sure he will hit the ground running, possibly underperformed this season so far but well noted the issues behind the scenes at glasgow were a factor(not just for richie), he is already an armadale expert whithout even riding for us so riding week in week out he will be sure to improve even more, handy on the away tracks aswell with his gating prowess.
-
I agree, edinburgh are just playing by the rules, end of story.
-
It has been confirmed on the monarchs website that clegg has returned in place of Ruml. follow the below link to read the press release: https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2018-07-17/max-returns-to-complete-the-side (courtesy of edinburghmonarchs.co.uk)
-
Not sure its correct however M Riss has dropped almost a point off greenssheet average(5.68/4.86) from the start of the season. Ruml started off quite well but has not pushed on as we would have liked, unlike joel who is improving with every meeting im not sure ruml is. Think he just needs time but do we have that time if we are to put in a play-off challenge?
-
If Josh could gate he would be a trump card, he most probably is the worse gatter i have seen (carr n collins included). I think he should keep his place as he is entertaining and he gives 100% every race.
