Edinburgh Vs Poole 4th August
GhostRider replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not so good news about Kye, hope they find out the cause and is on the mend soon. looking at the riders available(we have up too 6.28 due to 5% increase for home guset) i would go with Jordan Jenkins having scored 5+2 from 4 against us on his visit with Oxford, if not available due to prior engagements then i would go for R/R as at home. -
Ye skidder1 your right in my opinion should take a break and focus on SWC, better for fans, riders and machinery all round.
-
Indeed i agree, they certainly would not be happy with late call off as you say have to pay.
-
I would certainly agree with that being a regular fan/anorak was very frustrating at times but think as you say changed days around that situation
-
Oh well looks like popcorn and a movie then
-
I see, well its basically always wet here up n edinburgh lol so got to make best of a bad situation i suppose, it can cost a lot of money for rain off if not done in correct time, hopefully EUROSPORT will switch but no guarantee there.
-
So why was this called off tonight? Ive checked multiple forecasts and says bright sunshine/cloud not any rain forecast from 12? 17/18 degrees? Up herer at armadale (edinburgh monarchs) we can still get meeting on and raceable even if we have rain at 1730-1800 for an 1930 tapes up?

Have to agree, here, yes you made a few mistakes with names (paul) however who doesnt? i thought you were rather funny, the Cha Cha slide about the riders gardening I found hillarious and as said before you were spot on about the watering, and the cups of tea comment, ill never forget lol but bsn has really brought a new era to chanpionship speedway to people who cant always make it to every meeting so that is wondwrfull and ye, keep up the good work folks -
KOC Sat 4 June - Glasgow v Edinburgh
GhostRider replied to Endeavour's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well i said earlier it was all to play for but that was a bit too close to call, my nerves were jangling, god knows how the riders were feeling. looks like we may have lost another rider(hopefully not) but i send out my best wishes to kye and his friends and family, hopefully wont be too serious. -

This is incorrect about the “promotion blunder” as saturday was selected on purpose to avoid missing masters and pickering however, Rawicz, changed there fixture from sunday, to saturday for unknown reasons as they did not comment. courtesy of Edinburgh monarchs website - https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2022-05-31/monarchs-promotion-furious-as-polish-speedway-causes-koc-chaos I do agree that lawson and sedgmen will not score the same as masters and pickering, i think its all to play for. -
Poole Pirates 2021
GhostRider replied to Pirates Of Poole's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Great racing? Gate and go most of the heats with the odd pass here and there,(and thats at a push) think i was watching a different meeting to you then. I would agree however lindgren was certainly the pick of the bunch with his efforts. -
Poole Pirates 2021
GhostRider replied to Pirates Of Poole's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I don’t mean to be a “bah humbug” but can we not see a poole meeting where there is decent racing and a close scoreline? That is 2 weeks in a row where the meeting was all over bar the shouting early doors with big home scores. I, like many speedway fans enjoy these speedway rewinds as it get us our speedway fix in this terrible time. If anybody from the pirates videos/board/website is reading this can we please get a closer meeting with better racing as i think it would attract more viewers as big win after big win gets a bit tedious, non pirate fans will loose interest. regards -
R.Worrall Confirmed for Monarchs: https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2019-11-18/richie-worrall-is-back Courtesy of edinburgh monarchs website. By my calculations he should come in on 8.04/05(depending on how they round it) with the 2.5% reduction.
-
That would be excellent if we could manage that.
-
Yes possibly now that ive learnt that there is not a need for a 2pointer (i based it around that premise). back to the drawing board for me
-
Apologies i thought there was, must be getting mixed up with the 5 year development plan that was put in place last year.
-
Based on the rule that you still need a 2 pointer (not sure if this has changed for this season at the AGM) and that British riders get a 2.5% reduction masters - 9.03 Sarjeant - 3.90 Barker- 7.06 Pickering - 6.98 R. Worrall - 8.04 W.Lawson - 3.81 Coles or another - 2.18 total - 41.00 (with 2.18 or 40.82 with 2.00) you could also have kyle howarth on 6.98 in place of barker which would give slightly more for the reserves.

I think i need to give up, i thought he was but must have been mistaken
-
I see, i am not one for averages, I thought possibly as he was named for workington it may have applied but they never turned a wheel so makes sense that the conversion comes into play. He is way to high to fit in with the conversion.
-
He has an established MA from last years championship, which would apply, conversion only comes into play if the rider does not have an established MA for the championship
-
Thanks for all the info, its much appreciated, I shall have a look on the internet for the things mentioned above.

Hi I am planning a trip to Eastbourne for Edinburghs visit in July, having not been to the track or indeed Eastbourne itself, i was hoping somebody to help out with recomended hotels not to far from the track. Any sugestions are welcome thanks

NDL is the current name but the previous names of conference and national are long standing, the statement is ambiguous But trust me it applies to all leagues below premier league (championship now but i prefer premier)
