disagree. Riders need to learn to ride conditions that aren't perfect. The more experienced riders are having no problems, the kids on their rocket ships are getting out of control. Or should we just wrap them in cotton wool? half the problem now is the tracks they learn on are too slick and predicable they never learn how to deal with anything that isn't perfect

Disappointing from Glasgow, Poole really up for it, while Brennan and Basso looked like they had Torun on their minds, Cook didn't look at all interested or Nicol. Starke showed some desire, but when a guest looks more interested than the rest of the team you're in trouble. Guess the Man Manager didn't get the best out of his riders? -
Make your mind up

Dan Bewley could have rode in the UK this year very easily. All he had to do was NOT ride in Sweden, just like Doyle and J Holder. Bewley is as loyal to UK speedway as Lambert or Woffinden. He just didn't have a British Title to his name until a week ago

Completely agree, I just don't understand this "thirst for credibility" It's entertainment for crying out loud. But it's not just speedway, Football is a joke sport with its constant simulation, diving and feigning of injuries. Rugby is going the same way with it's "your tackle was 1cm too high, you're sent off" mentality. Everything is manufactured to suit a bigger agenda these days, from News, x-factor, Bake off, and sport in general. People just need to accept speedway for what it is. 4 people doing 4 laps on bikes with no brakes. and enjoy it for that. If people continue to look for a virtuous outcome, they will find only crushing disappointment. (in everything)

Think of the crowds. No guarantee you two will meet in the final

I think a rain off will pretty much suit everyone involved

I believe someone once said, just because you're offended, doesn't make you right. He had an opinion, an opinion can't be right or wrong, it's an opinion, you either agree with it or you don't. It's a public forum, FFS you say you knew, that he knew, that you were this or that. And of course you have proof of this. Or is it an opinion. Please just walk on by if you don't agree -
But we had all the same conditions 3 years ago with Mitas tyres and they didn't fall apart.

If they wanted to be in the meeting they would be in it. Lambert had no problem getting over for the GP qualifier at Glasgow. If you want to be in it you would be . Once it's on the CV, job done. Will we see Bewley in it next year? It's got nothing to do with Brexit or logistics, it has everything to do with DESIRE -
The carcass construction looks very similar to your drawing, the steel beads are there along with the other layers. The compound of the rubber is not really an issue like you say it's the construction. Lets be clear, the Anlas tyres are NOT wearing out. Tyre wear is NOT the issue. They are falling apart long before they wear out. If anything their wear rate is much better than the Mitas that preceeded it. Unfortunately that's unlikely. Not racing in the rain is very very rarely about grip levels, it's 90% about being able to see where you are going I believe it's poor quality construction and poor quality materials. But 100% what you have said is the issue

The bikes now work in such a narrow range that the "set up" they're all reaching for is making the sport a bit of a laughing stock. Lowering revs will dramatically increase the range in which an engine can produce more useable power and be much easier to maintain at a high standard during a meeting. But there is a fine balance between regulation of performance, and ending up with drawing lots for 14 standard bikes, and we end up like that

But this is where it yet again goes back to the clueless rule makers. in 2012/2013 when the titanium ban was lifted everyone consulted, told them, it's not needed, it will just drive up cost, so what did they do? allowed it back in, what did it do? drove up cost. They consulted on Rev Limiters, then go and set a limit that changes nothing regarding servicing requirements and cost. If you want to stop the Karger type ignitions, then ban them. Unfortunately, the technical knowledge that is around is ignored in favour of those making money out of the sport. UK speedway will allow itself to die a slow and costly death whilst ignoring what is obvious to most of us. They are terrified of actually making a bold decision and would rather keep putting a Band-Aid over a malignant tumour hoping somehow a miracle will happen BTW speedway riders being like sheep have largely ignored the Karger ignition since it came out as most didn't understand how it could be used. Everyone jumped on it after Anders Thomsen won his GP on one earlier in the year. They'll be back to buying their £300 clutch levers soon
-
Yet they've been around for 4 years plus, and the "new Karger Ignition" is very primitive compared to other motorsport applications. The cost of the bikes at the upper end of the sport is only an issue over here. The question is does the UK choose to have different bike specification rules than the rest of the speedway world in a similar way that they have a different tyre rule?

I don't see why not. It's the day before not the day of, but who knows these days.
