  1. Can't see Bewley and Brady and Lidsey enjoying Foxhall until it slickens off later in the night. By then Ipswich should be far enough ahead to protect a lead in 13 and 15 particularly
  2. I'd leave Rob Lyon out of your equation on team planning. He only agreed to be team manager the morning of press and practice.
  3. I would, they'll never be fighting over the same bit of track
  4. That's good money 'cos a Burger and chips at the showground is about as much as my house
  5. The media work is his future, irrespective of earnings today, I can't see him giving up his TV work so he can earn a few quid more for the year
  6. Who's that then, He's still got Mark Foster on the spanners, and the only other guy who used to hang around him was Victor, who used to claim to be his "UK Manager", but in reality would give him a lift to the airport every now and then.
  7. In a nutshell, that's the problem with getting anyone in from overseas, not just Lambert. Convincing a rider who is riding in the top 2 leagues in Poland to come over here isn't easy
  8. He only turned down P'Boro earlier in the week, Dale must have him on speed dial
  9. True, but that's only because they were too busy following their sat nav to notice the changes
  10. I think Ipswich could go well at Leicester and the tie is in the balance. Joe will be capable of his best meeting of the year there, Emil should only take a couple of laps to figure it out. Danny and Eric both go well round there, Doyle is Doyle, so it'll be new to Rew, Danyon has done loads of laps there. Could be a very close aggregate I reckon. (watch them now get humped now I've said that)
  11. Electric heated Kevlars must be the answer In fairness, I do know he's been trying to get practice and laps everywhere, but not been able to. but it's been the same for everyone
  12. Most of the practise was spent blading the track and trying to lay a new surface because it was that bad when they turned up
  13. you mean after they had moved the white line so you couldn't ride on the bit that Nicki lifted on?
  14. I got a feeling it may have dawned on the estate agent that maybe insisting everyone goes to Nando's and wearing matching trainers, aren't the ingredients required for a competitive speedway team. They've built a team who have no togetherness, would rather fight amongst themselves rather than for each other. KK was always going to be capable and likely of nights like last night. Klindt is just as capable of producing shocking nights. Last night slightly flattered Sheffield I feel, as the gates certainly fell in their favour with gate 3 being it's usual dreadful self as the track staff refuse to prepare the gates (can't believe away riders/teams haven't figured this out yet) The home team know when is best to get, and how to use their gates. The manager needs to get a stop watch and understand it's use. But all in all you've got to be expecting to get humped in heats 13 and 15 every week home and away I'd of thought with that top 2. The team was built to do it's best work at other parts in the meeting. Sheffield is a horrible place to go when your confidence is low. It's such a fast unforgiving narrow track that if your tail isn't up or your Kahoonas are on the small side, you're not going to have a good night.
  15. Zagar an KK are going to be wanting very different paychecks. Zagar I know was on £5K a meeting last year. KK will be on a LOT less than that
  16. That’s great but even the team managers don’t know when the 1minute rule goes on. the rule is great and something to be embraced but the fact that we don’t have a visible clock on the centre green is a joke.
  17. What does Tomalin do for a living? Oh yes. Flogs used cars go figure
  18. You’re about 180 degrees wrong on that. If you had any idea how much harm Tomalin and Johnson have done by promising what they can’t deliver and how much Buster has stepped in and covered their backsides so you actually have speedway at Peterborough you wouldn’t be jumping around like you are.
  19. He's not a fan of doing anything that doesn't involve getting paid. Bit of a habit with Richard
  20. yeah, you've definitely moved on, I can tell
  21. Not at all, he is one of the nicest, and most generous of people in speedway. Right up until he puts his helmet on. Then he becomes another person altogether.
