Any rider who withdraws from a meeting with illness/ non speedway injury, is already banned for 7 days, been the rule for some time
-
It's been the rule for a little while now that a non speedway injury/illness results in a 7 day suspension

BSPL Events do have separate pay rates for sure, and usually they are pretty pitiful. Last years Prem Pairs events had some reasonable prize money. I know the winners of each event got £4K split between the three of them in whatever proportion they agreed between themselves. I don't know exactly how it reduced down for 2nd. 3rd etc but it would be reasonable to suggest it halves as a pot for each rung down the ladder. I don't know the prize pot for this years event, but certainly last year, if you didn't finish in the top 2 and make the final, the event was costing you money big time.

No, did a few laps at Leicester on Saturday, apart from that, no. -
Troy lives in the UK and has a UK passport, so no visa requirements. The move was not in motion prior to Stewart Dickson taking over, yes he will be available Wednesday

Yeah I think he's edited it, it definitely said had blurred vision twice when I first read it. Someone should have told him you need to edit the German section as well, translation software is very handy. No sneaking anything past you Lisa

personally I find Erik's description of his symptoms and situation very disturbing. He's confessing to racing with blurred vision! Then thinking about whether to do it again. At what point, should he have to pass some sort of fitness test, before riding again. Not sure I'd want to be one of the other three lining up along side him when he admits his vision is blurred!

Not sure Pickering is the answer. Sure you’ll get 100% all action effort but in 12 months he’s gone from #1 to reserve.

FIM sign on is usually 10am on the day of the meeting so often it’s a case of the rider could fly in in time for the meeting to start but they need to actually be there at 10 am and can’t get a flight that gets them there in time for that -
Absolutely, they should be suspicious, I just think If integrity and not being lied to is that important to people they are going to spend much of their lives disappointed.
-
If the biggest problem on here is Buster's Gate and whether you're being lied to, then I think we're all in trouble. When you consider that pretty much everything to come out of the mouths of all politicians, and the media about mundane unimportant things like Covid, Climate change, the economy. I know which ones I'd rather have integrity, transparency, and honesty from. If Kings Lynn need to cancel a fixture and run it another time because of whatever circumstances, is it really that big a deal?

To be fair, there are plenty of mickey mouse things that go on in the GPs and Poland, despite how professional their public face is. It's just we are not as close to it over here so see and hear less. Most things when you look under the mat end up disappointing you. It's the main reason they always say never meet your heroes.
-
I think the biggest problem at Berwick at the moment isn't what they charge to get in, it's the track provides little or no entertainment. It really has been pretty awful stuff served up so far this year

Do words just mean something completely different to you? Neither of those are examples of where a club forced a rider to drop the UK -

Yet strangely more forgiving than some of the people on this forum Please don't believe everything you read on the internet or indeed anything that TTT has written. His Polish team are concerned about his start to the year for the simple reason he has been poor everywhere. They cannot make him drop the UK. -
Poole vs Plymouth BSN series 19/04/23

Exactly that. People see what they want to see. Professional moaners will find reasons to moan, and there's quite a few on here. Richie having a moan, is just Richie trying to be relevant. He always prefers more challenging conditions, because he goes well in them, that suits him more. Sure last night the track didn't offer as much out wide as usual. It also happened to be a very windy day. That dries out the track so the dirt out wide doesn't bind as well and offers less grip. The track looked smooth and predictable and in all honesty caught out the home riders more later in the meeting when they went wide hoping for more grip than was there. Richie knows that, he was trying to be "controversial". It clearly worked for him as people are talking about him. -

The whole concessions thing I find interesting. ONS statistics show that the age groups with the highest levels of disposable income are the 55-65 and 65-75 age range. Obviously they also have the most capital too, but just based on disposable income, that's the case. I understand the concept of concessions and the fact that they've been there historically, but your asking a business to give a discount to those who can most afford to buy its product. (however shoddy you may think that product is). The best fun however is going to be now watching some of the over 65s amongst us have a meltdown and demonstrate that they are just as "entitled" as the GEN Z they moan about so much. Every group can and will take offence at anything that affects them. Speedway goes up by a couple of quid and everyone moans like f##k, yet what's happened to your weekly shop or you heating bills. Costs of operating a stadium have gone up similarly, rents, energy etc. Riders wages from what I've seen haven't increased this year over any other, except in the case where quality has increased with some foreign additions. Where speedway has to improve is that however much it charges it has to be perceived by it's customers as "good value". They have to improve the entertainment, so people feel it's worth the price they are paying. They've gone and spent a load of money on transponders that do nothing, don't work, and add nothing to the show, yet can't be bothered to spend a couple of hundred quid on a centre green clock for the 2 and 1 minute countdowns. -

Tobi won't be available for a while

That's not how his mind works, he needs to be happy and confident with his bikes. Threatening someone like KK with the sack won't make him a consistent performer. It'll make him worse.
-
KK has made it interesting now, He WILL absolutely have some more shockers this season, the last 20 years have shown exactly that. He will also have nights like last night, where he wins at a canter. I'm hearing he was to be sacked last night and his replacement was already waiting in the wings. What do the management do now? You know what you are going to get with KK, or at least if you follow any speedway you do. Getting your knickers in a twist after Wolves away and an away meeting where he clearly had some bike problems initially, then we all know his head will go after the exclusion. You got to take the rough with the smooth with him. He'll win meetings for you and lose them in equal measure. For Lynn this year he will provide excitement and despair in equal measure. If you don't want that, they shouldn't have signed him. It's not like it's a surprise to any of us really is it?

I'm sure a lot more Polish rain offs will be arranged for Thursdays, to take advantage of their agreement, and establish a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday block of the week dedicated only to them. Can't blame them for doing it, it's in their best interests.
