  1. Lets be honest, the fact that Tarasenko can't guest for Kemp will please Rob Godfrey's wallet more than it does any Poole fan
  2. Pretty sure Dickson will be keenly waiting on the outcome of Worrall's SCB hearing before planning his team. They do seem to be joined at the hip a lot of the time. I think he will have a lot of input into the assembly of the Berwick team, but agree, there are many team managers who have little or nothing to do with it.
  3. The interesting thing for me is how much Kurtz has improved on the tighter more technical tracks over the last couple of years. There were times not too long ago, when you knew if he went to Monmore or Foxhall, he would be useless and not up for it at all. He hated those type of tracks. He's now applied himself admirably and looks a quality rider at the tighter more technical tracks. Dan last night kept himself safe for the weekend. He always ran mid track where the bike was comfortable to ride.
  4. Without doubt "ignorance is bliss" when it comes to supporting speedway. The more closely you look, the less you like what you see. TBF Poland is pretty corrupt too, but in slightly different places and they are much more professional at covering it over with some glitz and glamour. Our lot over here don't really make any effort to cover up their shenanigans any more.
  5. You may be right, the choices you list aren't great. I might have been tempted by Perry, who recently won a race on merit round Oxford in the Championship Pairs?
  6. If I were Glasgow, I'd be concerned at reserve. I think Jack Smith is a poor choice at a track where you need to turn hard. He's shown in the past, that he struggles and dislikes small tight tracks. Lets hope for Glasgow's sake that choice doesn't come back to bite them.
  7. It would certainly seem from their statement that the ban length was a compromise to cover up the fact that the procedures were not followed to the letter in a quid pro quo.
  8. How dull would that meeting have been had there not been the aggregate bonus point to fight for. Whilst | can take or leave the idea of the superheat. The aggregate bonus point does keep interest and excitement going in some meetings where the result on the night is already done. I think I prefer it to they win by more than 6 bonus point/away loss by less than 6 stuff of previous years
  9. Overheard it last night whilst standing next to him
  10. In order to sign a rider. The rider needs to have a starting permission from the clubs/countries in which they are riding but specifically from the country in which their license is held. No starting permission has been sought by Glasgow from the PZM I am told. It would appear they have jumped the gun and are now having to get them done. He should be good for Friday
  11. If it doesn't go ahead and they have to make a pick for the wildcard, I think we all know exactly who they will choose and it won't be Adam
  12. Well he's got to do something whilst he sits on the side lines in Poland for a while? Might not be riding there for a while?
  13. It's an unfortunate trait of society in general and here is no different that there is a presumption of guilt and innocence needs to be proven rather than the other way round. I guess that's what happens when society has been lied to on so many occasions. People need to manage and prove the most basic situations as true, as the default position is that they are lying. It's a sad state of affairs. but understandable when you consider the state society in is.
  14. You'd get some good odds on that accumulator
  15. On Friday the Poles announced that Nick was suspended across all international speedway calender events, so its an international suspension for now, not just UK
  16. In many ways this will be a real test for the riders and management of the Tigers. They need to perform for their fans, and show some fight. The trophy is gone, but they need to win the meeting to restore some pride. Will they?
  17. Team looks much more competitive now. Just got to find a way for Starke to stop breaking down, and Stefan to stop falling off. I won't hold my breath on those happening though.
  18. To be fair, he hates every track that isn't Belle Vue.
  19. Both racing the following day up in Glasgow for the teams they captain. I imagine they both want to be prepared for that rather than getting home at 3 am cleaning bikes at 8 am before setting off on the trip to Glasgow. I'm sure both Glasgow and Redcar fans will be pleased they aren't doing the booking and risk being ill prepared let alone hurt. So I can understand why Barker is available when the others are not.
  20. On a Friday night at Scunthorpe against the Oxford top three. I'd say most riders would turn it down unless you're offering stupid money guarantees.
  21. The double standards are breath-taking
  22. I suspect you already know the answer to that one. Although to be fair there are some different rules for NDL attendance over the other leagues. though I'm not up to speed with all of them in their current form
