Spot on, weekend prices will always be a high base this far out and all major hotels will operate a sophistcated automatic pricing engine which will kick in and increase prices as soon as demand from enquires for a specific date is detected. It's a system that operates across hotels, airlines, car hire etc the world over.

Not sure where I saw it, but a few weeks ago in a promo interview sure I saw Phil Morris mentioning a "test event" for the track this year, prior tobthe GP. Appreciate that this will probably be behind closed doors (like quali!) But not seen any further mention since. Did I dream the whe thing or can anyone shed any light?

Fair enough, I have no reason or desire to get into any sort of back and forth with you, or indeed to defend Cook or discuss his own personal issues. I just felt like I needed to flag what appeared to be a flippant comment about a serious problem for many people.

I agree with your sentiment that Cook is a strange move but please, "Mental health card" Shows a huge amount of disrespect for the many people who deal with issues or care for those that do.

Does anyone have any idea why Friday Qualifying is not open to public this year? It might not be the most thrilling spectacle, but interesting from a Speedway nerd perspective! Shame can't get in, was a nice start to the weekend last time!
