You are right the landscape has indeed changed. No you can't blame him for sure but it is frustrating and limiting if like Comets you are currently a weekend track.
-
Because of the rider shortage which was exacerbated with the advent of doubling up/down I reckon we could be struggling to put a well balanced team together now, hope I'm wrong.
-
Good solid team especially if Wrighty recaptures his form of last season following his injury.

Remember reading somewhere that Connor lives in Glasgow and was serving an apprenticeship with Allied Vehicles which I believe is owned by the Facennas.

Quite funny isn't it, Comets rode Saturday night for years never an issue. Thought he may have signed when he wasn't back at Glasgow i'm feeling a bit miffed off after hearing that. I would rather he said he got a better offer. He should improve again next season so will be a good rider again for you guys .
-
Has he got Polish commitments next season? haven't seen him announced anywhere ?
-
I came over a few times last season and would have to concur. Certainly a trier but looked a frustrating one if he was in your team.
-
Good signing, would have been more than happy to see him sign for Worky
-
Yeah, level headed young rider who showed a promising ability and desire to come from behind. Very good signing for Scunny. Good luck Luke.

Very good signing for Scunny. Already shows race acumen beyond his years, a very level headed young man who should go far in the sport. Thank you for your time at Worky last season.

Think I'm with you on this. Watching him over the years It's a personal perception that he has ability but is somewhat let down by his equipment, possibly his fitness and always seems to miss many meetings with injury.

Personally I think Pickering would be box office at Northside. Even bigger box office alongside a fit and firing Craig Cook. Fans love to watch racers and it is arguable that such riders put bums on seats. Only the promotion know what is affordable.

Claus good home rider, not so good away , often beaten by lower order riders on away tracks. Thomas Jorgensen was such a disappointment when Comets No1 , must have won lowest number of races than any other No1 to wear the Comets bib. Occasionally he would show flashes of brilliance but all too infrequently. Kenneth Hansen brilliant one week poor the next as a Comet, I could never understand that. A rider who greatly underachieved away from home for the Comets bearing in mind his skill level. Out of the 3, I think Claus would be my choice.

Rene rides in Poland so won't be him or Rasser either. Claus not back at Glasgow ?
-
plenty to discuss and sort at the AGM
-
Yeah Worky promotion going out for the 15th
-
he even has them during the speedway season, that's bordering on sacrilege .
-
Reading between the lines I think Poole may well be Premiership bound.
-
Like the idea of second halves for juniors. iI returning to 13 heats would 5 laps per race add anything ?
-
I wish ha ha.

Connor and Ace had Championship places this season. I can see Luke Harrison and Sam McGurk possibly securing a berth next season. The Championship even watered down is a tough step up. Even though we have had the pleasure of watching some great young talent this season who have often outshone older team mates admission costs will rise and with it fans expectations. I would like to think that in the absence of the NDL something will be created that will still allow young riders the opportunity to race and develop.

Many thanks to all fans who travelled to the meeting yesterday in spite of all the changes. Thanks to the riders who did attend and still managed to provide some entertaining races. Well done to Connor Bailey on the win, it's been a pleasure watching you fly round Northside and at times Redcar this season. In the likelyhood there will not be a third tier next season i'm excited at the prospect of rejoining the Championship. The increasing costs are a slight concern bearing in mind what happened to Laura. I hope Andrew/Steve are able to get the required level of support from team sponsors et al to help with the increased financial burden. Andrew spoke about infrastructure work planned for over the winter more specifically toilets and a stand. The energy and dedication of the whole team is admirable. British Speedway cannot afford to lose anymore clubs, i sincerely hope we see the return of Peterborough an excellent race track which always provided great Fours meetings and Wolverhampton. Hope we see you guys back asap !.
