  1. Doesn't seem like there are any Poole fans who would like to see a Pirates NDL or NDT team then ? . I'm not sure Worky will be running a team in the NDT competition in 2025, could be something to do with the opposition all being way down south. Would be more sensible imo if fixtures were regional.
  2. Crowds did drop at the end of the season, I think the injuries and the pretty much no chance playoff meetings against Poole played there part in this.
  3. Does it have to make money or just be self financing ?. Oxford are currently running 3 teams, I hope they can continue to do so.
  4. Yeah but I would argue a decent club offering more than another decent club will get the rider most of the time.
  5. If any team have the support base to run an NDL team it is Poole. I feel it would be self financing. In addition the Poole fans would have more meetings to enjoy. Worky do not have the support levels that the Pirates enjoy, I wish they did. Not sure which bubble you feel has burst. Worky were intending on running NDL last season but were asked to join the Championship. Most riders had already signed for clubs. This put them at the mercy of rider demands to a certain extent because of limited supply.
  6. Sure every club does want success but certain clubs have.more financial clout and ultimately a rider will go to a club paying the most. Doesn't guarantee success but it certainly helps. The management need to have sound judgement when it comes to team building, then its down to the riders producing and teams having a generally injury free season.
  7. I would say that is a fair assessment.
  8. Yeah Poole has to be a pressure club to join because they are so driven by success. No doubt they will have offered William the biggest financial package which if your in a position to do that who wouldn't.
  9. That would be a shame, good pre season run out with a competitive edge.
  10. Worst kept secret in Speedway William going to Poole, must be very exciting for the Poole fans to have secured such a precocious young talent. Do find it a bit contrived that a club that appears to do very little to develop young speedway talent professes that William feels Poole is the best place for him to develop and improve with a focus on providing him with the support , guidance, and environment he needs to thrive without undue pressure. Wonder how Max Perry views this.
  11. A lot depends on the reserves and Jake Mulford riding at No 2. Certainly 3 the strongest if not the strongest heat leaders in the Championship.
  12. Dayle seems keen to improve and showed signs of this happening last season. Would think he will be a travel companion for Cookie as well. Worth a shot. Peter Kildeman dubbed 'spider' by the Worky fans was box office in his time at the club. Remember him scoring 14 points in our win at Scunthorpe early in his first season, he was bouncing off the boards and scaringly good. Good addition to the Championship. Sam Hagon rode well at Berwick last season and should be a good signing at 6. Out in Aus at the moment as well getting competitive meetings in so should be race ready. Lot of potential but also some question marks, be interesting to watch.
  13. Would imagine promoter losses influences this. It would appear there is no real stomach from promoters currently for 2H/2A. Rider and associated costs probably not covered by gate receipts at most clubs so more meetings result in greater losses.
  14. Got to be frustrating for the Banfits losing Freddie after showing him loyalty last season.
  15. 3 Very strong heat leaders home and away for the Bears. If Mulford kicks on then it will be a very strong top 5. Ace should go well at the ECCO arena. Playoffs barring injury for sure.
  16. Yeah absolutely. Thinking it might have been something Mildenhall would have been interested in.
  17. Sounds like a very good idea as long as costs make it financially viable.
  18. Ambiguous statement for me regarding coming away as better riders. Perhaps you could define what you mean by better riders ?. Young riders as we seen with Max Perry get dropped if not performing he certainly didn't come away as a better rider. Vinnie showed rapid improvement in his form than he had showed in the NDL the season before. Poole tend generally to make good decisions on rider recruitment ie good eye for improvers. Such riders would become more experienced and improve wherever they ride imo.
  19. James Denham reported in an article on Cumbria Crack today that the Comets are still speaking with riders for the final team place.
  20. Slanderous indeed. You seem to know an awful lot about every Championship Club but never seem to produce anything that validates your allegations.
  21. Victor and Jonatan look like 2 shrewd signings to me. 👍
  22. For a number of reasons this has to be a no.
  23. Would imagine the promotion haven't either😉
